Kingdom Culture - Biblical by Glasgow Grace
Paul continues from last week's message by reminding the Thessalonians of his conduct and attitude while he was among them. As we listen to Paul's self-testimony, we see how radically different not only the gospel is, but also the people shaped by it. Paul describes himself as childlike in purity of motive, a nursing mother in love and care, and a father in example, encouragement, and instruction. His life reflects more than personal character; it reveals a distinct culture — the culture of the kingdom of God. This culture is not man-made. It is established by the King Himself — the righteous and joyful King of Psalm 45 — who calls with power, His people to share in His Kingdom and Glory.
Lead Pastor Wes Terry preaches a sermon entitled "The Way of Flourishing" out of Matthew 5:1-3. This sermon is part of the series, "Kingdom Culture" and was preached on February 22nd, 2026.
In Sermon on the Mount — Episode 2 of Straight Bible, we continue a deep verse-by-verse breakdown of one of the most important teachings of Jesus. Rather than speaking to political systems or the crowds, Christ pulls His disciples aside and reveals what the Kingdom of God actually looks like in practice — challenging modern assumptions about righteousness, discipleship, and spiritual transformation. This episode explores how the Sermon on the Mount is not merely moral instruction, but a blueprint for forming people who can live out the culture of the Kingdom. From the Beatitudes to spiritual hunger, Jesus outlines an inward transformation that produces outward change — a message that remains radically relevant today. If you've ever wondered what Jesus truly meant by righteousness, obedience, and living differently from the world, this study brings historical context, biblical clarity, and practical application together in a straightforward and accessible conversation.
Kingdom Culture: Disciple-Making by Glasgow Grace
Lead Pastor Wes Terry preaches a sermon entitled "The Way of Jesus" out of Matthew 4:23-25. The sermon is the first in a new series entitled "Kingdom Culture" and was preached on February 15th, 2026.
The Straight Bible series begins with Episode 1 breaking down one of the most important teachings in all of Scripture — The Sermon on the Mount. In this episode, we dive deep into Matthew chapters 5–7, starting with the foundation of Jesus' most famous sermon and what it reveals about the culture of the Kingdom of God. Many people misunderstand who Jesus was actually speaking to and how these teachings apply to disciples versus the crowds watching from the outside. We examine the historical context leading up to the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus' rising influence through miracles and healing, and how the Beatitudes define the values of true Kingdom living. This episode also explores modern misunderstandings about Christian identity, cultural Christianity, and what it truly means to follow Christ's teachings in today's world. If you've ever wanted a deeper, verse-by-verse breakdown of Jesus' most revolutionary sermon, this series is designed to walk through it in clear, practical, and uncompromising biblical context.

Kingdom Culture- Week 4November 23, 2025Introduction: Pastor Dave BrownTeacher: Pastor Hess HesterKingdom Culture: Shake and Shine!Matthew 5: 13-17 (NIV) “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. 14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Salt only has an impact when it is in contact with the object of need. Who in the circles of influence of your life needs Jesus Christ?Live and speak in such a way as to create spiritual thirst in the hearts and souls of others.1 Peter 3:15, Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. Matthew 5: 13b, c (NIV) “But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.” Matthew 5:14, “You are the light of the world.”Even the smallest of lights can make a huge impact. There is no darkness so thick that the light of Christ cannot penetrate it. Matthew 5:14b-15, A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. Don't hide your light! Matthew 5:16, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” John 17: 20-23 (NLT); “I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. 21 I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me. 22 “I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one. 23 I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me. One of the greatest ways we shine the light of Christ is by the unity we display.

Kingdom Culture- Week 3November 16, 2025Teacher: Pastor Dave BrownKingdom Culture: FormationThe goal of discipleship is not information transfer. The goal of discipleship is to develop the type of relationship with Jesus that forms our character.Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?— Luke 9:23-25Whoever wants to save their life will lose it.I denied myself nothing my eyes desired; I refused my heart no pleasure. My heart took delight in all my labor; and this was the reward for all my toil. Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun.— Ecclesiastes 2:10-11The work God wants to do in us requires us to look within: to look deeper and be deeply formed. Why? Because we are covertly and consistently being formed by a culture fashioned by shallowness. In short, we are being shallowly formed.—Rich VillodasEnter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.— Matthew 7:13-14…but whoever loses their life for me will save it.The way of following Jesus requires a steadfast refusal to get caught up in the pace, power, and priorities of the world around us. We are called to have our lives shaped by a different kind of power, pace, and priorities offered to us by God.— Rich VillodasThe 3 Steps to Breaking a Bad HabitTruthPracticeCommunityAlthough obeying rules does not lead to salvation, it can lead to formation. 3 Essential Practices for Re-formationSabbathExaminationServiceWhoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. Pastor Strader - Wednesday Night - 10.08.2025Holiness isn't bondage—it's sanctuary. Pastor teaches Kingdom Culture: justified by grace, then sanctified in heart and body as God's temple. Distinct from the world, protected by His standards, and patterned after His Word. Holiness is beautiful, powerful, and safe. (Ps 29:2; Rom 12:1–2; 1 Cor 3:16–17)“Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.” (Ps. 29:2) In this teaching on Kingdom Culture, Pastor unpacks biblical holiness as sanctuary—a refuge, not bondage. From Genesis 2 to Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 3, and 2 Corinthians 7, he shows that God makes His people set apart—both inwardly (heart, motives) and outwardly (body, lifestyle)—because we are the temple of the Holy Ghost. Holiness isn't about earning love; it's our love-response to grace—justification (moment) leading to sanctification (process). God sets the pattern for His house, gives standards for our protection, and calls us to live distinctly from the world. Bottom line: Holiness is beautiful, powerful, and safe—Kingdom culture on display.Key Scriptures: Ps 29:2; Gen 2:3; Lev 11:45; Rom 12:1–2; 1 Cor 3:16–17; 1 Cor 6:19–20; 2 Cor 7:1; 2 Cor 6:17.
