A weekly show about building better character, mindset and hustle. Cultivating a community with like minded individuals, on the same war path to becoming who they were born to be.
The fifth hammer is the one that's not proven, not obvious, or not always encouraged. The fifth hammer is you, when you choose the practice and trust yourself enough to create. Build momentum. Break barriers. Create freedom.
On this weeks episode, Malcolm talks about the importance of changing your friends perspective and getting them to better themselves. In order to due that we must lead by example and hope they learn from your mistakes. We can't change people that don't want to change. If those same friends aren't willing to do better and progress then we need change the people we are choosing to hang around. And acquire better relationships that force ourselves to level up our game.
In this episode we talk about the differences between life and death and how they can make or break someone. How we choose to carry the weight of our misery is the moments in which we have the opportunity to die and be born again. Yin and Yang were born from chaos when the universe was first created. Whether you choose to believe in God - there must be chaos for there to be order. And even though this is contrary to what you refer to as Christianity it is not so different from whom you'd call Christ. From a biblical standpoint Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” Polar opposites - one cannot live without the other. Yin and Yang. Order and Chaos.
Ever heard the phrase "everything in moderation?" It wasn't made for winners. And ultimately if we do everything in moderation - the results will be .. well, moderate. Moderate life. Moderate relationships. Moderate career. So why do people always want to you to do everything in moderation? Let's find out!
I truly believe that being number 1 takes more work than many can truly conceive. It's a difficult task - and I also know that to be at the top of your game for an extended period of time it takes a stubborn motherfucker committed to taking advantage of every single waking moment to be the best. There is no break. There is no I'm tired. There is no moment to go on vacation. It takes perseverance, grit and discipline. Until death do you part. YOU VS EVERYBODY ELSE.
We are all dealing with that family member, that ex girlfriend or boyfriend, that mother that don't quite love you the same, that father that might drink a little too much and shut you down. How do we deal with the negative and toxic relationships? The ones that don't nurture our being and help shape us to who we ultimately are meant to be? How responsible are we of their happiness and well being? How can I be more diligent in my pursuit to what I describe as success? Work. I work, until I can't work no more. Show every person that isn't going to change - that I changed. I took full responsibility for what I can control and I plan to make a statement. Dominate. Repeat.
You have to learn how to believe in yourself, and not attach yourself to a title. Or an identity. Because that title can be stripped from you. Then what? Believe that you can achieve anything. You're not just some COG in the system that only is good at whatever job title you have. But how? How do we do it? How do we learn to believe in ourself? How do we master the art of loving who we are? This is how.
2020 really had it out for us. We all had our fair share of ups and downs but for those of us that made it, really learned something about ourselves. I've had the opportunity to go through the worst - at least that's what it felt like, and survived. 2020 was the worst year for me but I'm grateful it happened. This is why.
There are three sides to a better life and foundation to becoming better. Never underestimate the power of the mindset, its the most valuable asset you have. Positive thinking + Positive Action = Positive Results

It's a special day in todays world and it's the day we elevate those who served in our military and died for our freedoms. OUR VIEWS MAY NOT BE THE SAME. BUT IT DOESN'T MEAN ONE IS RIGHT VS WRONG, IT JUST MEANS WE SHOULD LEARN HOW TO FIND A MIDDLE GROUND. OUR LIVES HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE CONNECTED AND WE CAN LITERALLY MAKE IT WHATEVER WE WANT, SO WE NEED TO BE CAREFUL WHEN WE TUNE EVERYTHING ELSE OUT THAT IS ACTUALLY GOING ON IN THE WORLD.
On this week's episode we talk about taking responsibility Malcolm dives into some stories from his past that helped him shape who he became today. Sometimes looking into the mirror is all we need to fix what we most dislike about our lives. Sometimes it's US that's the problem, not the other way around.
Success and failure are the same thing. Success is the result in which you have no succeded in what you've failed at. Therefore success is only the byproduct of failure. Multiple failures that now equate to ones success.

You weren't born hating yourself. Sometimes we all need that reminder. Learning to love ourselves gets harder as life goes on. But with each other by our side, we can make it, together. Find your rockstar within!
Misery loves company. Don't give people the satisfaction of robbing you of your happiness. Time is valuable, and something nobody could ever give back. We gotta learn how to cut out toxic people from our lives, and learn how to stop it before it spreads.
We are all in this together. The pandemic that has been brought upon us has shaken the world and our lives as a whole. How do we cope? How are we living each and every day of our lives? It feels like the world is on the brink of chaos, but at the same time there's a underlying feeling of safety, gratitude and togetherness.
Do you remember the days when you felt like you were on top of the world!? We were all kids once and life was much more simple back then. But it's important to find things that still bring us joy like the old days. I recently got back into some old activities I used to do, and it's been amazing! Life gets hectic, but how can we bring it down a couple notches? Lets talk about it.
What does it mean to be at rock bottom? “Hitting rock bottom” is a phrase that almost everyone has heard when talking about the topic of addiction. ... Generally, rock bottom refers to a time or an event in life that causes an addict to reach the lowest possible point in their disease. It is a time when the person feels like things cannot get worse for them."
Do you know the story of The Scorpion and the Frog? It's pretty well-known, but if you've never heard it, then here you go.
Life is all about relationships. The commitments you make will determine your life. Communicate your commitment, speak it into existence, let it be known. It shows accountability. Words can be cheap. You need to lead by example. Demonstrate your commitments. Celebrate your commitments.

It's important to set goals, and to inch a little closer each day to them so you know you're doing the right thing and not guessing. It's easier to want to throw in the towel. And it's also okay to not be okay. And allow yourself to go through those emotions, but not alone. The thoughts of doubt, fear and uncertainty is a recipe for disaster if we allow ourselves to dwell heavy in thought.
Often times we have tendencies that can hinder our progress or our successes. It can come in the form of self-sabotage, without even knowing we are doing these things to ourselves. Lets talk about how we can identify self-sabotage behaviors, what we can do to stop them, and how we can manage it. The most important part about understanding self sabotage, is understanding self awareness and how we can utilize what we know about ourselves and do the best thing for us.
It's important to have context, to many times people are doing things with no actual rhyme or reason. We should understand the fundamentals and nuances behind everything. So when we get into conversation and talk about a subject that's important to us, we could feed people legitimate information and not some nonsense you heard by a guru.
Often times we forget that community starts with people. Through teamwork we can achieve a stable community, and ensure that whomever lives in that community has the opportunity to flourish. In my experiences it's difficult to cultivate a culture where people want to prosper if the leaders of the community aren't leading by example.
A gasman is a hype man, the one that is usually the life of the party. The person that can turn nothing into something. The same person that you want by your side whenever you're going out to do something wild, ( or boring ) either or. But the gasman is the same person that can make someone feel good even when they're not feeling like themselves. They're the same person that always is hyping you up to do that thing you're so afraid of doing.. the question is who is it that you're gassing up? And are they the right people?
Mental health is an important topic for me, especially amongst men. Growing up without a father in my life I always felt like I had something to prove in order to be considered a "man". Unfortunately in today's society it's easy to get caught up in what it means to be a man, so in turn we struggle with identity issues or even insecurities we don't know how to deal with. Being emotional isn't just a females trait and it's super important that we try our best to help shine light on an ongoing problem in society.
The people we should be looking for could be sitting right next to you. Everyone is in pursuit of finding a mentor, or someone they can emulate to help with their own lives. But could we be looking in the wrong places? Possible. But it's also possible we may already know the people that could help us figure some things out. Not everyone you look up to has to have ALL of it figured out at once, they just need a piece to your puzzle that can help you. Find those people and learn how to be confident when asking for help.
This week on TMH we talk about there being two types of people in the world. Those that are afraid to lose, and those that have nothing left to lose. People with nothing left to lose are dangerous and you never want to be caught in the crossfire of their bad habits. But we believe if you can harness that same mentality of nothing to lose and use it toward propelling you forward in life, it can be such a benefit.
IS YOUR JOB IMPORTANT? What is important? What is your job duty? What service do you provide? What do people think you do vs what you actually do? where do you work? Where do you see yourself at your job? where do you want to be? where can you take action to better yourself? When do you want success? When is the right time to quit vs stay? why do you feel your job is unimportant? why do you compare the work YOU do vs the work other people do? why don't people take what they do seriously, and how to change that mentality? why people make excuses for their “job”? how can you become more happy in the workplace? How can you be a better employee? How can you actively generate more money for yourself?
Those who you share life's experiences with, in sorrow and splendor, it's for these reasons I am grateful every day to have shared an experience with each of you. In my heart there is a memory of each of you, and a pleasant experience we shared together, and I thank you for having that experience with me, be us friend or foe, I will always hold the pleasant memories of you close to me. Thank you for the experiences we've shared, and the life we've lived together, I love each and every one of you.
Not everyone knows what you've been through, not everybody can understand or even relate. Sometimes when you're taking a road that's unfamiliar it's okay, because it's your own path. I dive into understanding your path, and reminding people that your story is meant to be for you, and you don't have to " keep up with the joneses".. it's called staying in your own lane for a reason. Shine your brightest by becoming the best at what you do.
Do you find yourself questioning if you're doing enough, If you're on the right path and if so how can you tell? You can only tell once you realize what you're doing is for YOU and not everyone else. Understanding that you are capable of more things in life than you may believe will be the turning point in your life. You have to learn to believe in yourself first, before you can try to save the world.
You ever wonder why designer clothes are so expensive? Most of the time we are looking for the best deal, to get more "bang for our bucks", especially when it comes to a product of service. We want more for less. But is that actually detrimental in the long run? Having more, doesn't necessarily mean more quality products. There is a major difference between getting a $85 dollar shirt vs eight $5 dollar shirts.
Promises are meant to be broken. What if we can change that notion and start making promises to the right people?
“Be more concerned with your character than with your reputation. Character is what you really are; reputation is merely what you are perceived to be.” Loyalty is the most important quality, and it's something that can't be taught. Learning how to be loyal can be your greatest ally or your biggest enemy. Which do you choose?
Identity theft is an invisible crime with tangible consequences to the victim and the person committing the crime if caught. Essentially identity theft is a way of someone coming into your house and playing house while you are locked in a basement. But how does that apply to YOUR life? Let's find out.
“Because if you're gonna blame people for all the shit, you better blame them for all the good too.” - Tony Robbins
You know that saying, if you loved them you'd let them go? Well, it all goes back to that saying exactly. Loving from a distance because you care. Not because you no longer have feelings for that person. Not just speaking on an intimate level, even platonic relationships. It's hard to let go sometimes and in order for you to come to terms with that, there are a few things you have to do first. Everybody hates Mondays, but everybody hates tough decisions too.
Everybody hates Mondays, and with all due respect I'd probably hate Mondays too if I didn't change my attitude. Monday seems to have that reputation of being notoriously the worst day of the week. My goal is to change that! I LOVE MONDAYS! This first episode is going to be brief and go into a little bit about the host ( myself ), and what it will take to start to appreciate those Monday mornings.
