The more I study successful people from all walks of life—artists, athletes, entrepreneurs, scientists—the more I believe focus is a core factor of success. What exactly is offer stacking? Offer stacking occurs when people combine deals or rewards in a way that isn't intended by either the manufacturer or the merchant who issued the coupon. With new forms of payment, loyalty programs, and location-based deals proliferating among consumers, so is the potential for offer stacking. And, as is the case with any new technology, people will always try to push the limits of the system to extract as much value as possible, which can lead to detrimental consequences for merchants and payments providers alike. But while it is inevitable — and in fact desirable — for consumers to continue adopting mobile payments, offer stacking can be combated if you know what to look for and how to respond. Merchant Warehouse has been studying offer stacking closely over the last year, since the introduction of their newest technology platform, Genius. It's an experience common to a lot of people. You overspend for years and don't really think about your finances. Something changes and you begin to take notice. You start turning that ship around. You struggle, and sometimes you succeed and other times you end up reverting back to the same old habits. I was lucky to be in that “succeed” camp. Part of the reason, I believe, was The Simple Dollar – getting into the regular routine of writing the site forced me to think again and again about my financial state, and that process helped me to overcome some of the biggest challenges of my financial turnaround. Looking back, I can identify four key moments that offered the most challenge to my turnaround. Two of them happened just once; good solutions and the passage of time helped to fix them. Two others recurred fairly often; good solutions and knowing how to use them, again and again, helped those moments to pass. At some point during your financial turnaround, you're likely to hit all four of these moments. In fact, it's pretty likely that you're already facing the first one. A content system is a process of creating, engaging, managing, and optimizing data-driven information that serves an unmet need for a niche audience. This process both creates and grows a network. If you're still with me, I understand that sounds like a very techy and non-creative endeavor, but this definition provides the necessary framework to create compelling content that engages audiences. Rather than constrain us, it frees us. It frees us from feeling overwhelmed. Where do I start? What's next? It frees us from anxiety. Is this what my audience wants? Will anyone read this? When you have clarity, creativity flourishes. People love to buy but hate to be sold. You've heard this statement before, but it isn't true. What is true is that people don't want to be pressured to buy something they don't want or don't need. But they love to be sold the things they want. Yesterday, Apple announced their new watch. They already announced the watch last year, and there wasn't much new to share. But people who love Apple tuned in to watch the live event or spent time reading the news reports. Why? They want to be sold. We want to be seduced. We are aspirational. We want to be more, do more, and have more. We love it when we are shown how much better we are going to be when we make some purchase. We want to be told we belong. We want to be included. We want to be part of a tribe, some tribe that speaks to our values and our beliefs. We wear the clothes and marks of our tribes. We love it when someone shows us how to join that tribe. We want help rationalizing our decision. People love to buy, and they love to have someone help them rationalize their decisions. We love having someone provide us with a logical argument to justify our emotional decisions. We're back to storytelling! Because there is more to tell! For ages, stories have been the BEST way to convey messages, teach values, and pass on wisdom from one generation to the next. They can tap into our deepest emotions, entertain us, inspire us and move us to action. What is the power of intention?    I am a firm believer in the power of setting deliberate intentions. Intentions create a way of being, serve as guidance for how we respond to the circumstances around us, and provide inspiration to our lives. Setting deliberate intentions allows you to make decisions, handle conflicts and overcome challenges with greater focus and clarity. Unlike goals, which are often future-oriented and achievement-based, intentions are an evolving process – they are based on today, but change and grow as we do. However, simply setting an intention and wishing it would be so is not enough to create the desired result. You must act on the intention to realize its power. When you look for your ideal client, start with a specific and custom marketing strategy! Define your target audience. How? -Demographic Criteria -Job Position -Where and how you can find them. Let's move forward and describe your NICHE. The target audience tent to be more narrow and clear.
