Netflix recently released Beverley Hills Cop: Axel F, so we take a spoilerific dive into what has to be the worst titled film in the series, in what seems to have become a naming trend with legacy sequels, and look at if it holds up against the rest in the series. Matt also dips into the new Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, James bigs up Barbecue Showdown and Florey has finished watching The Bear. We have some great questions from listeners including the pros and cons of working on gig posters. 

The Bear is back on Disney Plus & Matt, Florey & James give spoiler free opinions on the first few excellent episodes & look at why Fox/ Twentieth Century Studios continually manage to make good stuff. We also catch up on Unhinged and why we should never agree to watch films on air, the 1980 adaptation of Popeye & being kicked in the balls as a parent.

On this episode, James, Matt and Florey take a good look at Florey's GAMEBOT, which is now available to pre-order and talk about the process behind putting it together and what to expect in the future. We also talk about films that two out of three of us at most have watched, Superman's super-suit, where is The Batman 2 and fail to answer the question “what films would be better as musicals?”.

On the show this week, Matt, James and Florey talk about Richard Linklater's better than a Netflix film, Netflix film, Hit Man, starring Glen Powell and Adria Arjona, Russell Crowe's Pope-naissance, the genius marketing campaign behind the 2020 film Unhinged, why the new Omen film isn't that bad and we start our own cult. 

It's the week after Vice Press Open House 2024, and James, Matt & Florey briefly discuss how it all went. There's discussion on the attention spans of kids (and adults), plus the usual questions from the audience which generates a much more in depth discussion than we are used to.

With Matt back his holiday, we managed to squeeze in recording a new episode before Vice Press Open House kicks off. Matt, James & Florey have all watched Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga & Godzilla Minus One, which surprise dropped on Netflix this week, but the question is, which one takes the crown of the 10 star movie of the week?

It's been a while, but Matt, Florey and James are back for a brand new episode and hopefully a more consistent schedule. So what have we been up to? What have we been watching? Give us a listen and find out.

Together for the first time in the same place, this special live episode was recorded in front of an audience at Thought Bubble 2022 in what was only a little short of a hostage situation. The Transformers is a topic that comes up more often than it warrants during these episodes, but for once with good reason. Matt, Florey, James and Tom host a watchalong of the 1986 movie using a new poster release by Matt, from Moor Art in collaboration with Vice Press, as an excuse.

This past weekend saw SDCC return for its first in person event in a few years and in terms of trailers, Marvel went big! James, Florey, Tom and Matt share their unsolicited views on all that, as well as the usual chat and opinions about what they have all been watching lately. Being a convention local to us, it always feels like we are on home turf and gives us the opportunity to meet up and chat with friends old and new. This year Thought Bubble will be heading online with a week long festival of events planned that culminates in the Thought Bubble Digital Comic Con on the 14th to the 15th of November.
