Escuchamos canciones inspiradas en la historia por Shabam en 1976 (On The Planet Of The Apes) y el cantante cristiano Mark Cox (I Feel Like An Alien On The Planet Of The Apes).
"Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes" represents a vast technological breakthrough in visual effects technology as the "Planet of the Apes" franchise continues to push the boundaries of what's possible in visual effects with each passing installment. The work on Wes Ball's 2024 blockbuster has received nominations from the Critics Choice, BAFTA, Visual Effects Society, and now, the Academy Awards. WETA Visual Effects Supervisor Erik Winquist was kind enough to spend some time speaking with us about his work on the film, which you can listen to below. Please be sure to check out the film, which is now available to stream on Disney+ and is up for your consideration for this year's Academy Awards for Best Visual Effects. Thank you, and enjoy! The summer movie season is finally over, and we had some big surprises across the board this year. So this week, the Cinemaholics crunch the numbers and analyze the highs and lows of the box office releases and how this year compares to the last few. Plus we get a chance to dig a little into a few releases we didn't review on the main show and re-litigate a few of the ones we did. In this episode we looked at a Forbes article by Conor Murray, as well as the Summer Movie Wager website used by the Filmcast. Also, our thumbnail artwork was designed by Jon Negroni and features edited stills from Deadpool and Wolverine, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, The Fall Guy, The Garfield Movie, IF, Despicable Me 4, Inside Out 2, Twisters, A Quiet Place: Day One, and Longlegs. Our intro music this week is “Wakaba” by Hocoro Beats. Links: Email your feedback for the show to cinemaholicspodcast [at] gmail.com Join our Discord and chat with us! Well folks its finally happening, a Mafia game set in Sicily at the turn of the 20th Century! I am very excited! But that wasn't the only news out of Gamescom this week, another Bethesda title is going multiplatform, old franchises are returning, and new adaptations are unexpectedly coming! Also, don't go after actors for roles they play, they aren't really those characters! Meanwhile, Deadpool & Wolverine continues to break records, Indiana Jones's hat sells for over $600k, and The Acolyte is sent packing. Nic Cage, now here's a guy, will be playing John Madden, and forget the chicken sandwich war, Chick-fil-a is jumping into the streaming wars.
Welcome to this special Comic-Con edition of Talking Apes! This is the panel held on July 25 titled, ‘Unveiling the VFX magic: 20th Century Studios' Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” SUMMARY: Delve into the technical and human elements that created the visual effects masterpiece – Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes – with some of the best VFX talent in the business! Join lead cast members Freya Allen, Kevin Durand, Owen Teague, and Peter Macon alongside visualization supervisor Casey Pyke, Wētā FX visual effects supervisor Erik Winquist and one of the film's editors, Dan Zimmerman, as they unveil the VFX magic behind the majestic beasts and battles in bringing director Wes Ball's vision to life. This is the full audio recording. For those listeners with sensitive ears, a fight between a fan and the CC security broke out at about the halfway point, and there were a few curse words. The panel host quickly got things back on track and we were on our way. I got the chance to represent Talking Apes with a question during the Q&A. They asked to keep the questions short but that wasn't going to happen since I wanted my question about easter eggs to be answered by all the panelists. I've been to the mountain and came back with even more content. I posted the ‘Enter the Forbidden Zone' exhibit on @skywalkingpod IG account, and there's another video coming your way from that exhibit. I also posted pics on the FB group of the NECA figures and cosplayers.

Movie theaters are dead! Unless it's a movie people will pay to go see! The Film School Janitors watched KINGDOM OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, which is part four of the new films, but the tenth overall. This is their review. Go apeshit with it!
THE PLANET OF THE APES series has become an institution. For whatever reason, audiences get a kick out of seeing intelligent apes taking over the world. With the 2011 reboot film, DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, the series took off once more after being dormant for many years. The fourth film in the reboot, THE KINGDOM OF THE PLANET OF THE APES (2024), was recently released to some acclaim.Intelligent chimpanzee Noa (Owen Teague) sees his village destroyed and his clan taken prisoner by renegade apes. He goes off to save all he can. On his journey, he is joined by Raka (Peter Macon), a Bornean orangutan, and Mae (Freya Allan), a human, and their journey leads them to Proximus (Kevin Durand) who has set up a coastal ape city where Noa's clan may have been taken to.The film is directed by Wes Ball, written by Josh Friedman, inspired by the novel by Pierre Boulle. Besides Owen Teague, Freya Allan, Peter Macon, and Kevin Durand, the film's cast includes William H. Macy, Dichen Lachman, and Travis Jeffery. Receiving good reviews from critics and audiences alike, your co-hosts take a look at the latest film in the franchise and gives their thoughts.
Reviews: The Acolyte, Doctor Who, Interview w/ the Vampire s2 premiere, My Adventures w/ Superman s2 premiere, X-Men '97 season finale, Atlas, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, If, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, South Park: The End of Obesity Hope you enjoyed all of the TCAF coverage! Now it's time for a big (and long) TV/film review catch-up episode. No news or Top 3. Jimmy is finally using the new recorder so there may be some kinks to work out still. He also started by saying the wrong episode number. So please disregard "Episode 1510" as it's clearly episode 1511. Sigh. Thanks to reviewers Melissa (on double duty), David, Jeff, Therese and Ricky. Always such insightful and thought provoking reviews. Hope you enjoy! If you saw anything we reviewed, please send your thoughts our way. Also, get a hold of us! Thanks for listening!

On this episode of The Hollywood Outsider podcast, we are headed back to the land Charlton Heston built. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes takes place generations after the events of "War". This time, a group of civilized primates are viciously attacked, which leaves one of their own - Noa - to set off on a journey to save his clan. The less you know of the story the better, but you can rest assured that director Wes Ball understands the respect the last trilogy carries with it, and this film honors both the heart and depth those films exacted. Humanity versus the lives of all those animals we force to do our bidding, and how the memories of our heroes can even be distorted into a manipulative tactic for dictatorship. Skywalking Through Neverland: A Star Wars / Disney Fan Podcast
“What a Wonderful Day!” In this episode we break down the long-awaited KINGDOM OF THE PLANET OF THE APES. Former Talking Apes co-host Mark Oguschewitz (Underexposed Cinematic Treasures) joins in as we discuss the story, favorite moments, funniest moments, and easter eggs. How many easter eggs did you find? We found lots that connected the classic films and TV series. We may have forced some but we got them to work. We also discuss the “gospel” word of the Lawgiver. And was Proximus Caesar inspired by Caesar the ape or Julius Caesar? We also read your comments on the film. We were surprised by the outcome. Now, go Ape…together strong! For this week's main podcast review, I am joined by Josh Parham, Cody Dericks, Brendan Hodges, Tom O'Brien & Will Mavity. Today, we are reviewing the latest film from "The Maze Runner" director Wes Ball, "Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes," starring Owen Teague, Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, Peter Macon & William H. Macy. Set many generations after the events of "War For The Planet Of The Apes," this new entry in the decades-spanning "Planet Of The Apes" franchise introduces us to new characters and continues the legacy of the critically acclaimed re-booted 2010's trilogy. Another guestapalooza on this week's Empire Podcast, folks! First up, Chris Hewitt has a lovely chat with Josh O'Connor — not about his talk-of-the-town tennis movie, Challengers, but his new film, Alice Rorhwacher's La Chimera, for which O'Connor learned Italian and, effectively, manifested into his life by way of a letter. [20:12 - 35:25 approx] Then, Dan Jolin, our very own Planet Of The Apes expert, sits down with Owen Teague, Freya Allan, and Kevin Durand, the lead trio of the new movie, Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes, for a chaotic chat about rapping apes, deadly spiders, and bare feet. [58:00 - 1:14.05 approx] And finally, Chris has a heartfelt talk with Michael Lindsay-Hogg, the director of the legendary Beatles documentary Let It Be, which is getting a wide release on Disney+ this week after years of being placed on the shelf. [1:39:45 - 1:53:05 approx] Either side of those is a fun episode in which Chris is joined in the podbooth by Helen O'Hara and James Dyer, as they discuss the best films to be adapted from TV shows, review all three of the aforementioned movies plus Jerry Seinfeld's Unfrosted, and tackle most of the week's movie news, including the announcement of a Lord Of The Rings movie directed by and starring Andy Serkis. They'll talk Ralph Ineson as Galactus next week, fear not. Enjoy!
On this episode of The Hollywood Outsider podcast, we head back to a debate that has been raging for years, but seems to have rounded a corner back to where we started: which is the best way to watch TV nowadays, binging or weekly? There are sooooo many options, especially in the world of streaming, but do we even still have time for all of this television? Let's dive into a healthy debate as we discuss binge vs weekly TV. That's not all though! Entertainment news like The Rock's recent expose, Riddick gets another chance, a few choice movie ideas moving to production, upcoming attractions such as Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, our review of The Last Stop in Yuma County, and more! Discussed on this episode (0:00 – 22:04) Opening | Entertainment News: The Rock deals with bad press, Riddick and Maze Runner get additional films, new movie productions (22:05 – 36:59) Review: The Last Stop in Yuma County | Upcoming Attractions (37:00 - 1:16:18) From the Outside In: Binge vs Weekly TV Listen to our other podcast, Inspired By A True Story, now available in your favorite podcast feed!
