About Knights of Sadira: The Knights of Sadira is a dark supernatural fantasy novel series telling the story of a once ancient sorority of demon slayers operating in secret in a surrealistic, cyberpunk future. Firmly entrenched between dark fantasy and horror, the series follows five women in a generational struggle to overcome darkness, from the outside and within themselves. With engaging, relatable characters caught in the familiar, classic struggle between good and evil, The Knights of Sadira tells a tale of belonging, the testing of kinship, loss, trauma, identity, and death. Out of respect to you, we've elected to not use your actual names/info and will continue to do so without your expressed permission. "Hey guys I am loving the podcast. Seriously, brings me back to my SEU days and also helping me understand/process a lot of things since that time (gosh almost 20 years ago?!) Matt, in 2005 or so you told me I could do "good things…or do great things" when I was having an existential crisis about not following God's plan for my life and whether or not I wanted to be a doctor versus go into ministry like everybody else at SEU. Needless to say, I chose the MD route and I'm so thankful. Anyway, your podcast really helps me understand why I felt like such an outsider at SEU and why my beliefs never felt like they were in line with a lot of others. BL and I have been having some great conversations." - Friend "Not gonna lie Matt. I'm considering Hinduism. I even like Buddhism. Is it okay to appreciate all pathways to God? What are your thoughts [sic]." - Friend Thank you to everyone for your continued support. In case you've just discovered us... Steve & Matt are best friends of 30 years after both growing up in rural Appalachia...Steve from Virginia and Matt from Alabama. Both of us were raised in the Assemblies of God (a Pentecostal denomination) and our paths crossed during our undergraduate years in college in central Florida where we became friends and roommates. A few years after college our paths crossed again when we accepted university administrator roles in the same department and then built houses beside each other with our spouses. In the middle of our professional careers in church ministry and higher education, we individually realized the ambitions we'd been prescribed felt counter to our values and beliefs. Individually, we stepped away but remained best friends. In an effort to honor our friendship, and to remind you that you're not alone, we began recording our ongoing conversations and are sharing them here with you. We hope you'll allow these conversations to be what you need them to be for your current place in life. And if we can ever help, we hope you'll connect with us.
