Radio Rackham giver i selskab med tegneserieskaber Ivar Gjørup deres bud på, hvad der gør striben til et mirakel. Radiserne er nok den mest læste tegneserie nogensinde. En verdenssucces i kraft af sin nærmest kalligrafiske klarhed, sine ikoniske karakterer — Søren Brun, Trine, Thomas, Rikke Rask og ikke mindst Nuser — sit humoristiske vid, sin helt særlige lakonisk-melankolske tone, samt selvfølgelig den verdensomspændende merchandising-maskine, som den igangsatte. Trods sin enorme succes, tegnede Schulz (1922-2000) striben dagligt i næsten halvtreds år, til sin død, uden hjælp fra assistenter. Den var et personligt anliggende. Rackhams Wivel og Storm forsøger at forstå dens liv på og hinsides avissiden sammen med Gjørup, der selv har en rem af huden.
