Twenty-six years after it brokered the end of the First Karabakh War in 1994, Russia has once again managed to carve out a leading diplomatic and military role in the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan.  President Vladimir Putin was instrumental in getting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to agree to a ceasefire to end the 44-day war and to accept the deployment of Russian peacekeepers in the region. The presence of nearly 2,000 Russian peacekeepers not only stabilizes the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh but also reinforces the Kremlin's influence in the South Caucasus despite Turkey's attempts to muscle its way into the region. Welcome to our new Summer Series ~ “False Prophets, False Teachers, False Teaching”. Last week, we learned that there are different outcomes for liars. If you are unsaved, lying, no matter how great or small in the human mind has eternal consequences. Even those little white lies. If you are saved and lie, you do not suffer eternal consequences for it because there is forgiveness. This fact is not, condoning lying in any way. Those engaging in false teaching, especially with regard to scripture, the Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit will find,… the lies such teaching will inevitably produce leads to reproach. To be called an “antichrist” is, in my opinion, the most stern and condemning reproach that could be said of anyone. There are many sermons and messages given on how The Holy Spirit is our teacher. John tells us this in his Gospel. He quotes Jesus’ words: “[25] I have spoken these things to you, abiding with you;  [26] but the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things and shall remind you of all things that I said to you.” (FROM: Green’s Literal Translation: John 14:25-26) In modern times, false teachings can be so beguiling as to seem completely true regardless of how false they really are! Many false teachings are well crafted to sound extremely plausible so as to be, in the hearer’s mind, 100% true. It matters not the subject. If one is lukewarm, worthy of being spewed, vomited from God’s mouth, they may well be those of an apostate condition. Those of untruth and error, as false prophets and false teachers, even those called by John Antichrists, would be worthy of such a vehement and violent action of being spewed or vomited from God’s mouth.
