I recently found a post from a leader & educator that really connected with me. Danny Steele (@SteeleThoughts) shared this thought that is so easily seen in today's society - “It's easier to throw stones than it is to make tough decisions. And sometimes… being a leader involves coming to terms with the fact that any decision you make, will be the “wrong” one to a whole lot of people.” The 3 C's (Criticizing, Condemning, and Complaining) are all around us. So many of our so called “leaders” take great pride in tearing people down and blaming them, instead of that so-called “leader” looking in the mirror and acknowledging their own mistakes, lack of character, etc. That's why I've been trying to keep working on myself more now than ever before. If everyone can do more of that - self improvement & personal development, recognize that we are not perfect and that mistakes are part of life. However, we stand up and own them and not blame others for those mis-cues. Remember, those tough decisions where we look at ourselves more than pointing fingers at others - it's a key to a successful life for us and others for sure! Thanks for listening. Speaking from Melbourne, where she is currently visiting, Bedi — the first woman to join the Indian Police Service — stressed that "these attacks must now stop."
More than 300 college presidents and administrators from around the country signed a letter denouncing “unprecedented government overreach and political interference” in higher education. By noon Wednesday, at least eight Minnesota colleges had joined the growing list of signees.Since President Donald Trump was elected to office, his administration has worked to revoke Diversity, Equity and Inclusion policies at colleges, launched investigations into antisemitism and trans athletes on campuses and threatened to withhold universities' federal funding. The American Association of Colleges and Universities released the letter Tuesday. Suzanne Rivera, president of Macalester College in St. Paul, is on the board of the association. She joins MPR News host Emily Bright to talk about the letter, which she also signed.

Judgment is a very dangerous thing. I'm not talking about judging choices, attitudes, or actions, but judging hearts. Condemning and dismissing others. Ridiculing and dehumanizing them. Using them. When we do that, we put ourselves in God's place — and God takes that very seriously. Only God can judge the heart, because only God can see the heart. Let's remember that when we're angry or frustrated or annoyed this week — for the sake of our relationships and for our own sake. Readings at this Mass: Is 43:16–21 | Phil 3:8–14 | Jn 8:1–11

If you want an ad-free experience, you can subscribe below underneath the show description. It is once again clear that the sudden explosion of protests across the United States has a less than organic origin. There has been growing sentiment for violence on the political left in the past 15 years, as is evidenced by a recent report by CNRI that analyzes the rising support for Luigi Mangione. This same group, however, analyzed the explosion of the “Christ is King” movement and found it to be based on the same type of sentiment. In both cases there is a growing distrust for authority and thus a vacuum for new authoritative justice and moral policing to take hold. In fact, the “Hands off” protestors are more than inorganic and/or unhinged; they are a necessary component of justifying the victimhood and power of their perceived enemies, who also are a necessary component of justifying the purpose of the protesters. There is a shadowy element behind both that continues to benefit regardless of political outcomes. The element continues to engage in the same rhetoric too. Whereas under the left racism was a public health crisis and being anti-racist was not enough, now under the right anti-semitism is a public health crisis and being against anti-semitism is not enough. Both of these forces fight without reasoning or basis, which changes the conversation from ever addressing the consistent presence of the advancement towards electric cars, digital currency, and a dissolving of nations. The self issued moral licensing justifies murder or imprisonment without due process while finding acceptable explanation for why 1 or 100 million need to die to reach a desired outcome. It also ignores the fact that many of the problems perceived to exist are themselves the result of the very same political extremism. Condemning all white people as evil by the left or condemning Islam as evil on the right and bombing their countries into the Stone Age both have real consequences and breed the very thing feared, a beneficial monster that feeds off the same zealotry. And how do we go about commenting, supporting, or defending these movements? We do it with beliefs for which few of us will admit are programs rather than thoughtful conclusions; we do it with emojis and memes, which introduce a magical element to the equation. -FREE ARCHIVE (w. ads)SUBSCRIPTION ARCHIVEX / TWITTER FACEBOOKMAIN WEBSITECashApp: $rdgable EMAIL: rdgable@yahoo.com / TSTRadio@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/tst-radio--5328407/support.
Condemning The Innocent _ Mark 14_53-72 by Cypress Bible Church
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1 NIV If we are free why do we sometimes feel like we are living in bondage? Condemning thoughts, compulsive behavior, personal conflict, and spiritual despair can be struggles we all face on a regular basis. Is that just something we have to live with? On this week's show, Kurt and Chad talk about a rich resource called The Steps to Freedom in Christ by Neil Anderson (Freedom in Christ ministries (https://ficm.org). Truth, forgiveness, submission, humility, freedom. How do we experience those in a world that seem to be going in the opposite direction? (To schedule available times with Kurt or find out more about having a freedom appointment, go to furtherstillministries.org) (This is a repeat episode - enjoy!)
Federal prosecutors have accused former Minnesota State Senator Justin Eichorn of trying to obstruct their investigation related to charges of soliciting a minor. And the Democratic-controlled Minnesota Senate is staged to vote on a resolution condemning President Donald Trump's pardons of those found guilty of crimes on January 6, 2021.Those stories and more in today's evening update from MPR News. Hosted by Emily Reese. Music by Gary Meister.
And Jehovah said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch forth thy hand with thy rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the pools, and cause frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt. And Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt. And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments, and caused frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt. And Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron, and said, Supplicate ye unto Jehovah, that He remove the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may sacrifice to Jehovah. And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Have thou honor over me, till when shall I supplicate for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to cut off the frogs from thee, and from thy houses? Only in the river shall they be left. And he said, Unto the morrow. And he said, Be it according to thy word; that thou mayest know that there is none like Jehovah our God. And the frogs shall be removed from thee, and from thy houses, and from thy servants, and from thy people; only in the river shall they be left. And Moses and Aaron went out from before Pharaoh and Moses cried unto Jehovah upon the word of the frogs which He had laid on Pharaoh. And Jehovah did according to the word of Moses, and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the courts, and out of the fields. And they gathered them together in heaps and heaps; and the land stank. Exodus 8: 1-10 Arcana Coelestia 7376. From all this it can now be seen that these two loves( love of self and love of the world) are the origins of all evils, for they are diametrically opposed to love toward the neighbor, and to love to the Lord; thus diametrically opposed to heaven, where love to the Lord and love toward the neighbor reign. Consequently it is these loves, namely, the love of self and the love of the world, that make hell with man, for these two loves reign in hell. AC 7379. “And Jehovah said unto Moses,” signifies instruction; “Say unto Aaron,” signifies the influx of the internal law into the external law; “Stretch forth thy hand with thy rod,” signifies the power of internal truth through external truth; “over the streams, over the rivers, and over the pools,” signifies against falsities; “and cause frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt,” signifies reasonings from mere falsities; “and Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt,” signifies the effect of the power of internal truth through external truth against falsities; “and the frogs came up,” signifies reasonings from mere falsities; “and covered the land of Egypt,” signifies that the natural mind was made such; “and the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments,” signifies the abuse of Divine order, whence there was the like in the outward form; “and caused frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt,” signifies in respect to reasonings from the natural mind; “and Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron,” signifies the presence of the law Divine; “and said, Supplicate ye unto Jehovah,” signifies humiliation from weariness; “that He remove the frogs from me, and from my people,” signifies that they should not be driven to reasoning from mere falsities; “and I will let the people go, that they may sacrifice to Jehovah,” signifies that they would then leave those who were of the spiritual church so that they may worship their God; “and Moses said unto Pharaoh,” signifies the answer; “Have thou honor upon me,” signifies that the law Divine ought to be trusted; “till when shall I supplicate for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people,” signifies intercession for those who are in falsities and infest; “to cut off the frogs from thee, and from thy houses,” signifies that the reasonings may cease; “only in the river shall they be left,” signifies that they should remain with falsities where these are; “and he said, Unto the morrow,” signifies forever; “and he said, Be it according to thy word,
March 16, 2025Today's Reading: Luke 13:31-35Daily Lectionary: Genesis 16:1-9, 15-17:22; Mark 6:1-13O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not! (Luke 13:34)In the Name + of Jesus. Amen. People don't like to hear God's Word. It's uncomfortable, demanding, condemning. His Word calls a thing what it is and calls people what they are. Sinners. Enemies of God. God's Word doesn't mince words. And that's why Jerusalem kills prophets and stones apostles. People don't like to hear God's Word, so it must be silenced. Why did Jerusalem react so violently to the prophetic voices sent by God? The pattern of putting prophets to death shows that God's Word isn't just a few suggestions to improve already good people. It's a violent encounter of the holy God with sinful man. The prophets are well aware of this: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips,” lamented Isaiah at the foundation-shaking voice speaking God's Word (Is. 6:5). We are not that different from Jerusalem. Perhaps none of us have resorted to murder at the sound of God's Word, but we would rather it be silenced nonetheless. His Word makes us uncomfortable. It's demanding. Condemning. Even the preachers who are sent to proclaim it shy away from it. But even stopping your ears and despising God's Word is a violent attack on God.Violence is not God's nature, though. To curb sinful rebellion, God sometimes resorts to violent measures, but that's foreign to His nature. Jesus, the Son of God, shows the heart of God when He speaks as a mother hen. “How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not!” And as the prophets before Him, Jerusalem put Him to death for speaking a Word that people don't want to hear. But then something ironic happens. When they kill this Prophet, He begins to gather His brood like a mother hen. “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself” (John 12:32). On the cross, His tender heart shed the blood that cleanses us from all sin. On the cross, He put hostility to death. With the New Testament of Jesus' Blood, there is no more violent encounter with God—only an invitation to His pierced side.In the Name + of Jesus. Amen.O God, You see that of ourselves we have no strength. By Your mighty power defend us from all adversities that may happen to the body and from all evil thoughts that may assault and hurt the soul; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Taylor and Brittany go over some scripture in 2nd Corinthians chapter 7, about how fellow Christian's and the the church are meant to guide and correct us in our walk, and not condemn us. And how there is a difference between regretting sins we do, verses repenting of those sins.
On February 13, 2017, teenage friends Liberty German and Abigail Williams went for a walk near Delphi, Indiana, but never returned home. The next day, their bodies were found in a clearing, victims of a brutal murder. Liberty recorded a blurry video of the man approaching them in her final moments, capturing his gruff command: “Down the hill.” The haunting clues sparked public obsession and rampant speculation online, while investigators explored every lead. Despite years of effort, the case remained unsolved, leaving a community searching for answers. Guest Bio and Links: Susan Hendricks is a renowned journalist from HLN, podcaster, and author.
