What does it take to survive 299 failed marketing campaigns… bankruptcy… a corporate burnout… and still come out the other side building multiple 8-figure brands? In this episode of Inventive Journey, Devin Miller sits down with entrepreneur and e-commerce expert Neil Twa to unpack one of the most brutally honest entrepreneurial stories we've featured on the podcast.Neil's journey started with dreams of becoming a fighter pilot. But after being physically disqualified because he was too tall for the cockpit, life forced him into an entirely different direction. That pivot eventually led him into programming during the early days of the internet, enterprise AI systems at Sprint and IBM, affiliate marketing, online gaming businesses, and eventually building a thriving portfolio of physical product brands sold through Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, and major retail channels.Along the way, Neil learned lessons the hard way.He discusses dropping out of college after realizing the education system wasn't teaching the real-world technology skills businesses actually needed. He shares how he worked on some of the foundational enterprise systems that helped pave the way for modern AI and large language models long before AI became today's hottest business trend. But this episode goes far beyond technology.Neil openly shares the painful realities of entrepreneurship that many people avoid discussing publicly. At one point, he invested heavily into a startup opportunity that ultimately collapsed due to poor leadership and financial mismanagement. The fallout resulted in bankruptcy while his wife was pregnant with their fourth child. Neil describes watching cars get repossessed, rebuilding from almost nothing, and learning difficult lessons about trust, risk, and resilience. Most entrepreneurs would have stopped there.Neil didn't.One of the most powerful moments in the conversation comes when Neil explains how he launched approximately 299 failed affiliate marketing campaigns before finally discovering a profitable campaign that changed everything. That breakthrough taught him a critical lesson: persistence often matters more than perfection.Eventually, Neil realized he didn't want to simply market products for other people anymore. He wanted ownership. That shift led him into physical product brands, scalable e-commerce systems, and long-term asset creation.Today, Neil operates and helps manage more than 20 brands generating 7- and 8-figure revenues while leveraging AI throughout operations, marketing, analytics, and automation. He also explains why he believes businesses ignoring AI today may already be falling dangerously behind competitors who are aggressively adopting automation and data-driven systems. Some of the major topics discussed include:• Why failure is often misunderstood in entrepreneurship• The hidden emotional costs of building businesses• How persistence creates competitive advantages• Early internet and AI technology evolution• Lessons learned from bankruptcy and rebuilding• Why ownership matters more than temporary wins• Building scalable e-commerce brands• The future of AI-powered business operations• Why complementary business partnerships matter• The dangers of waiting too long to adapt to technology shiftsPerhaps most importantly, this conversation highlights the reality that entrepreneurship rarely follows a clean or predictable path.Success is often messy. It involves pivots, uncertainty, setbacks, reinvention, and moments where quitting feels completely rational. But as Neil's story proves, sometimes the entrepreneurs who ultimately succeed are simply the ones willing to continue testing after everyone else has stopped. If you've ever struggled through failure, uncertainty, burnout, or self-doubt while building a business, this episode will resonate deeply. To chat about this one-on-one, grab a free consult at strategymeeting.com

1 X posten, gleich Kunden. Ein virales Video, gleich kommen 100.000 Follower dazu.So läuft das aber nicht. Alles, was du machst, wird belohnt.

Medical tourism is no longer a fringe trend — it's a global, highly competitive industry. Each year, more than 1.5 million people travel to Turkey for medical procedures, with hair transplants and cosmetic surgery driving a significant share of that volume. Istanbul alone is home to over 1,000 hair transplant clinics, alongside hundreds of cosmetic and plastic surgery clinics — all competing aggressively for the same international patient. In this episode of OMD TV & the OMD Growth Podcast, Huyen Truong breaks down: Why Turkey became the global hub for medical tourism How extreme competition forces clinics into price wars Why UK, EU, US and Australian clinics lose when they try to compete on price And most importantly — how Western clinics can win patients back without discounting or destroying margins This episode builds on insights from Video #84 / Podcast #132 – Why Are Turkish Clinics So Good at Selling & Dominating Medical Tourism, and goes deeper into strategy, positioning, patient psychology, and long-term competitive advantage. If you run a hair transplant clinic, plastic surgery practice, or aesthetic clinic — and you're losing patients to overseas options — this episode will change how you think about competition. What You'll Learn in This Episode How competitive the Turkish medical tourism market really is (with real numbers) Why price is always the first battleground in overcrowded markets Why lowering your price is the fastest way to lose long-term How to reposition your clinic around total value, safety, and continuity of care How to structure consultations so price becomes the outcome — not the entry point How to compete on experience, authority, and long-term patient relationships Why education beats fear, and strategy beats discounts Key Links Mentioned

Business & Marketing Clubhouse host Rocki invited SEO expert, Favour Obasi-ike, MBA, MS to break down the essential framework for generating consistent, monthly sales through your website. Whether you are a solopreneur just starting out or an established business owner looking to scale, this conversation provides a roadmap for turning your digital presence into a high-performing storefront. This session focuses on the strategic and technical requirements for achieving recurring monthly sales. Favour Obasi-ike explains that monthly sales are a result of continuous effort and "property" building. By treating every new page as an asset, businesses can create multiple entry points for customers, much like a physical storefront with multiple doors.Favour emphasizes that a website is not just an information portal; it is your primary business asset. The discussion centers on the concept of "page depth"; the idea that your website's value increases as you add more entry points for potential customers. By benchmarking your progress (aiming for at least one new page per week), you can build a robust library of content that the algorithm indexes, ensuring long-term visibility. The episode also dives into the distinction between "money pages" and "information pages." A money page is defined by its ability to capture leads or facilitate a direct transaction, such as through email sign-ups or product checkouts. Favour shares a powerful case study on Canva's early growth strategy, illustrating how consistent blogging and SEO-focused content creation laid the foundation for their global success.Listeners will also learn about the technical infrastructure needed to support growth, including the benefits of WordPress multi-site setups and global carts over traditional "rented" platforms. Favour Obasi-ike, MBA, MS breaks down the semantic web SEO concept of "page indexing," explaining that it is simply the process by which search engines discover, crawl, and store your web pages in their database. Using a library analogy, he explains that just as a library must log a newly purchased book before patrons can find it on the shelf, Google must index your pages before users can discover them in search results.Favour emphasizes that high-quality content is practically invisible if it hasn't been properly indexed. He also walks the audience through the technical steps of verifying a domain via Google Search Console and stresses the importance of owning your hosting and DNS records.Who is this for? This content is tailored for business owners, content creators, podcasters, and website managers who want to understand fundamental SEO concepts to increase their online visibility and website traffic.Key MomentsSegment 1: Introduction to page indexing and how it builds long-term business visibility.Segment 2: Step-by-step technical guide to setting up Google Search Console and submitting sitemaps.Segment 3: Understanding how accidental "no-index tags" can hide your website from the internet.Segment 4: How third-party platforms (like Apple Podcasts and Spotify) generate indexed links that boost your search presence.Segment 5: The "Library Analogy" explaining why indexing is simply digital storage.Segment 6: The importance of controlling your Domain Name Server (DNS) and hosting platforms.FAQsWhat is page indexing? It is the process where search engines discover, crawl, and store web pages into their database, making them searchable and eligible to appear in search results. Ultimately, indexing simply means "storage on the web".Why isn't my website showing up on Google?Your site might not be indexed. This can happen if you haven't submitted your sitemap to Google Search Console, or if your site has default "no-index tags" that actively tell Google to ignore your pages.Does podcasting help with indexing?Yes. When you publish a podcast episode to platforms like Apple, Spotify, or Amazon, each of those platforms creates a link that gets indexed by Google, multiplying your online footprint. What is a DNS and why does it matter?DNS stands for Domain Name System or Server. It connects your domain to your hosting platform. You must have access to your DNS records to verify your site ownership with Google and ensure you maintain full operational control over your business's online presence.Action Steps Recommended by Favour Obasi-ikeCheck your site status: Use a tool like nslookup.io to research your website's domain records.Set up Google Search Console: Go to Google Search Console and add your domain property.Verify your domain: Copy the provided TXT record and add it to your DNS records within your hosting platform to prove you own the site.Submit your sitemap: Once verified, submit your sitemap (e.g., yourwebsite.com/sitemap.xml) to Google Search Console to prompt Google to scan your pages.Audit your hosting setup: Ensure you have direct, personal access to your own domain name server and hosting plan to avoid losing control of your intellectual property.Ready to Rank?
