The 1959 movie starred Vincent Price, Carol Ohmart, Richard Long, Alan Marshal, Carolyn Craig and Elisha Cook Jr. The 1999 film was directed by William Malone and stars Geoffrey Rush, Famke Janssen, Taye Diggs, Ali Larter, Bridgette Wilson, Peter Gallagher, Chris Kattan and Jeffrey Combs. On this week's episode we compare the two films, we discuss how much money it would take for us to stay the night in the house and we figure out the process of creating the perfect pencil thin mustache. The 1959 classic starring Vincent Price, Carol Ohmat, Richard Long, Alan Marshal, Carolyn Craig, and Elisha Cook Jr. was a huge hit for B-horror director and gimmick-master William Castle. He entertained the masses with this horror murder mystery and his one of a kind carnival style antics to promote the film. A new company, Dark Castle, would be created and inspired by William Castle with its first film being the 1999 remake of House on Haunted Hill starring Geoffrey Rush, Famke Janssen, Taye Diggs, Peter Gallagher, Chris Kattan, Ali Larter, Bidgette Wilson-Sampson, and Jeffrey Combs. This week Invasion of the Remake takes the challenge to stay one night in the House on Haunted Hill to see which film will win the cash and which film should be pitched into the acid pit.
