I'm Stacey Simms and these are the top diabetes stories and headlines happening now XX In the news is brought to you by VIVI Cap – confidence on the go that keeps your insulin protected in hot or cold XX Learning a bit more about the Tidepool pump partnership, at least who it won't be. When Tidepool Loop approval was announced last month, it came without the original pump partners, Omnipod and Medtronic. CEO Howard Look said they do have a pump partner but that they're not ready to announced yet. I spoke to Tandem for next week's episode and they say its' not them. Quote “That's not part of our roadmap, it's not an integration we're working on.” XX Insulet announces it will discontinue the original Omnipod system. In a letter to healthcare professionals, the company says the system, referred to as Eros or Omnipod Classic will be discontinued at the end of this year. It's no longer available to new patients and existing customers will be transitioned to Dash or Omnipod 5. I'll link up the letter in the show notes. “Dear healthcare professionals, We have made the decision to discontinue the original omnipod insulin management system in the us after December 31 2023. This system is often referred to omnipod eros or omnipod classic. Insulet will continue to support the omnipod system throughout this year to allow existing patients ample time to transition to newer omnipod technology such as Omnipod dash or Omnipod 5. please note this product is no longer available for new patients in the US. After December 31, 2023 Insulet will not be able to guarantee the availability of the omnipod system supplies. “ https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10225188520677483&set=a.1253748061199 XX Civica continues to move ahead with more affordable insulin, announcing that Ypsomed will make and supply their pens. Civica plans to produce three insulin biosimilars priced at no more than $30 per vial and no more than $55 for a box of five pen cartridges. Contingent on FDA approval, Civica anticipates that its insulins will be available for purchase beginning as soon as 2024. XX New study shows screening kids at risk for type 1 diabetes only once – at age ten – is very effective in detecting the condition by the age of 18. These researchers also say “Almost no one” who is islet autoantibody negative at age 10 years despite a high familial risk for type 1 diabetes will develop clinical diabetes by the age of 18. Full study published in the Lancet. https://www.medwirenews.com/diabetes/age-10-years-optimal-type-1-diabetes-screening-point/23957596 https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanchi/article/PIIS2352-4642(22)00350-9/fulltext?fbclid=IwAR2kRNyGg6lnq3ZWsFkXnCvkeNiisg9mE2bbN_OnGiLrUpcHKXAaff3OkE4 XX The nonprofit public health advocacy group the Physicians Committee issued a formal complaint that a recent CBS "60 Minutes" segment was a promotion for Novo Nordisk's obesity drug, Wegovy, that was dressed up as a news segment. The Washington, D.C.-based group has filed a complaint with federal bodies alleging that the CBS "60 Minutes" segment that aired on New Year's Day breached the FDA's “fair balance” rules for drug ads. The Committee said in a release that the feature failed to talk about alternatives to the drug or about other weight-loss methods; that only experts “paid by Novo” were used in the program; and that the piece used overly promotional language. This has caused Wegovy supply issues for Novo which, coupled with manufacturing problems, only deepened bumps in production last year for the drug and led to an official shortage of the drug in 2022. A spokesperson for Novo Nordisk told Fierce Pharma Marketing: “Novo Nordisk did not provide any payment or sponsorship to CBS 60 Minutes for their reporting on obesity as part of a news segment that aired on January 1, 2023, and we did not control any of the content or have any role in identifying or selecting the doctors and patients featured in the news segment.” https://www.fiercepharma.com/marketing/health-group-lambasts-novo-nordisk-60-minutes-paid-news-program-weight-loss-med-wegovy XX Some researchers have pulled out of a trial investigating the use of an old tuberculosis vaccine to treat children with Type 1 diabetes only months after they began enrolling participants. This is part of the Faustman study of the BCG vaccine. Some recent research suggests that the vaccine, first administered in 1921, also may protect against Covid-19 and respiratory diseases because of its broad effects on the immune system. The lead investigators of the pediatric trial are proceeding with the study, but N.Y.U. Langone's abrupt withdrawal could potentially jeopardize its viability if they are unable to collect data on the children at the N.Y.U. site. An earlier study by the scientists at Massachusetts General found that two doses of B.C.G. vaccine reduced blood sugar levels to near normal in a very small group of adults with Type 1 diabetes. Other studies of B.C.G., using different versions of the vaccine and following Type 1 diabetes subjects for varying periods of time, have yielded mixed results. The lead investigator of the trial, Dr. Denise Faustman, director of the immunobiology laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital, said that N.Y.U.'s withdrawal was a serious deviation from trial protocol that may call into question the final results. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/01/20/health/diabetes-bcg-nyu.html XX A new smart insulin pen sensor can also be used to track dosing of GLP-1 medications. Brand names for GLP-1 medications include Trulicity and Ozempic. This device, called Mallya, attaches to the injector and connects it to a mobile app. It's already cleared in Europe and should be available in the US in the next few months. The device is compatible with most popular insulin pens, including Lilly's Kwikpen, Sanofi's Solostar, and the Novo Nordisk FlexPen. Biocorp also announced that it has partnered with Novo Nordisk, Sanofi, and Roche Diabetes Care to improve Mallya's current design moving forward. According to the Mallya website, the device's lifespan is two years before a replacement is needed, and in no way does it change the way that users operate their insulin pen. The device can be charged via USB and, with average use of three to four injections per day, requires charging once a month. Also, for those who have different pens for multiple types of insulin, the app can connect multiple Mallya devices, one for basal insulin and another for bolus, for instance. https://diatribe.org/fda-clears-smart-injector-pen-device-mallya XX Tempramed/ VIVI Cap XX New features popped up this week in the latest version of The Sims – after an update, players can opt for their characters to wear a CGM – Libre or Dexcom Freestyle Libre in the Sims 4 game. Search for CGM or Libre XX The Jonas Brothers officially have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. On Monday, Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas were honored during a ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard where their careers as musicians were celebrated. Their star was dedicated in the category of Recording and the trio was introduced by Monte and Avery Lipman of Republic Records, Ryan Tedder and writer and producer Jon Bellion. While the brothers still maintain their own separate projects -- Nick Jonas is set to produce and star in the upcoming film "Foreign Relations," Joe Jonas recently starred in the film "Devotion," and Kevin Jonas hosts the ABC series "Claim to Fame" -- they continue to make music together and are slated to release new songs this year. The group closed out Monday's ceremony by announcing big news about their upcoming new album, which will be released in May. They also said they'll be going on tour again. XX On the podcast next week.. Tandem Diabetes with an update on their road map announced last year. They've since acquired a patch pump company and one that makes infusion sets. A lot to catch up on! He was there BEFORE his Parents won these & learned the Roots & Blessings & Pitfalls of Stardom from childhood. Of Chicago PD, Ronn says "NBC and Dick Wolf paid me the highest honor by using my song, “I Want Your Loving” as the opening song for Season 9/episode 11 entitled “Lies."He is a great vocalist, actor, writer, historian plus!!Ronn David knows more than anyone that he has a lot to live up to. He has his Vocal Gift! The son of Ruth Brown, the Queen of Rhythm and Blues and Clyde McPhatter, the founder and lead vocalist of The Drifters. His Dad is in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Billy Ward's Dominoes & The Drifters.Ruth Brown used her influence to press for musicians' rights regarding royalties and contracts; these efforts led to the founding of the Rhythm and Blues Foundation. Her performances in the Broadway musical Black and Blue earned Brown a Tony Award, and the original cast recording won a Grammy Award. Brown was a recipient of the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016. In 2017, Brown was inducted into National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame. She is also the aunt to legendary hip hop MC Rakim. He's toured with artists as varied as Bonnie Raitt and Rick James, performed three times at The White House and often pays tribute to his famous dad in concert by performing Drifters classics like “On Broadway” and “Under The Boardwalk” with his own contemporary twist), movies Ronn clearly enjoying singing side by side, then eye-to-eye with Halle Berry in “Why Do Fools Fall In Love” and appearing in other great music-in-movies films about The Temptations, Little Richard and The Five Heartbeats ), and television (a young Ronn worked with the legendary comic Redd Foxx on his final TV show). Now, Ronn is now poised to take his silky vocal stylings to radio stations, on-line portals and dance clubs across the USA.Ronn David knows what it takes to make it in the music business…and it all begins with a great song. “I Want Your Lovin'”, Ronn's a single from his upcoming album, is that song.Impossibly catchy, smoothly soulful and with a ready-made dance poised to fill the floor at clubs and parties from coast-to-coast, “I Want Your Lovin'” just may give Ronn David something he richly deserves; the opportunity to shine as brightly as his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame parents stars. “I love and respect what my parents accomplished very much; but like most folks, I want to make my own mark on the world And for me, a big part of that is to make my music and succeed on my own merits”, says Ronn with an easy smile from his Los Angeles home, a stone's throw away from Hollywood Boulevard and the Capitol Records studio where his folks recorded some of their biggest hits. Ronn David is also a proud Howard University Alumni!Turns out Ronn is far too modest about what he's already accomplished on his own. EP 63 WTF is Lensa App, Meg The Stallion & Tory Lanez Drama, FTX is F*cked, & 2023 New Years Resolutions | Divij's Den One day after Megan Thee Stallion finally got her day in court on December 13, Kelsey Harris took the stand in Tory Lanez's trial and backtracked on key details in her testimony. In the criminal trial, which began December 5, Lanez is charged with assault with a semiautomatic firearm, personal use of a firearm, and possession of a loaded and unregistered firearm in his vehicle. He faces one felony count of discharging a firearm with gross negligence in relation to the July 12, 2020, incident. Meg told a Los Angeles jury that Lanez shot her feet following a party more than two years ago. “I just don't feel good … I can't believe I have to come in here and do this,” Meg said shortly after taking the stand at Lanez's criminal trial, according to the Los Angeles Times. While on the stand, Meg detailed the events that had unfolded that evening. She testified that she, Lanez, his bodyguard, and a friend, Kelsey Harris, were driving away from Kylie Jenner's pool party and that Lanez was upset that Meg had wanted to leave. Meg alleged that he turned around in the SUV and demanded that she “stop lying” about their relationship, the Times quoted her as saying. Meg said she and Lanez were friends and had become closer after bonding over the deaths of their mothers. Sometimes their relationship was sexual — a detail that had been revealed in the vehicle in front of Harris, she said. Harris allegedly had a “crush” on Meg, and this revelation fanned the flames of the argument. Lanez called both Meg and Harris “bitches and hoes,” and the discussion turned into an argument about their careers in music, per the newspaper. Meg asked for the SUV to stop so she could get out. As she left the vehicle, Lanez allegedly fired five shots at her and shouted, “Dance, bitch!,” hitting her in the feet, the Times said. “I'm in shock. I'm scared. I hear the gun going off, and I can't believe he's shooting at me,” Meg told the jurors. After the shooting, they all drove away in the SUV, and Meg tried to slow the bleeding with towels that were in the back seat. Lanez allegedly told Meg and Harris that he would give them $1 million each if they didn't tell the cops about the shooting. The car was stopped by police a few minutes later on Hollywood Boulevard. Jurors were presented with body-camera footage that showed officers ordering all four people in the SUV — including Meg as she was bleeding — onto the ground before they were detained. At first, Meg didn't report the shooting. She said in court on Tuesday that she wasn't comfortable speaking with the authorities, as the incident had unfolded just months after the police killings of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd. “At the time, we are at the height of police brutality … I felt like if I said this man has just shot me, they might shoot first and ask questions later,” the Times quoted her as saying. “I don't feel safe in the car. I don't feel safe with the police officers, either.” Meg came forward against Lanez several weeks later in an Instagram Live, claiming that one of his reps was trying to spread fake information about the shooting.

From the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Normandie Avenue in the heart of Los Angeles to the Las Vegas Strip; from backyard cooking classes to battling legends on "Iron Chef America"-Jet Tila has carved a singular niche as a culinary storyteller. Thanks to his diverse background and education, Tila is as comfortable as chef and consultant as he is teacher and student in the art of food. Disneyland Adventureland Treehouse will Return with a New Look in 2023There are more details about the future of the treehouse in Adventureland at Disneyland park. When it reopens in 2023 the Adventureland Treehouse will be themed after Walt Disney's Swiss Family Robinson tree house--just as it is in Walt Disney World. This is likely because Disney is working on a remake of the 1960 movie as a new Swiss Family series on Disney+.The renewed treehouse will have new environments created among the branches of the giant tree on the shores of the Jungle River. From the mother's music den to the young sons' nature room to the teenage daughter's astronomer's loft, everything is created from found objects, natural resources, and pure ingenuity (just like the Disney fairies do). More news to come as it's released--Walt Disney World Pool Closure The Oak Manor leisure pool in Magnolia Bend at Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside was recently closed for a brief refurbishment.Ol' Man Island and other leisure pools around the resort will remain open and available. An army veteran who was homeless in Los Angeles got tired of having his tent cleared out by the city's sanitation teams...so he decided to build his own house. By working with the community, the man, who goes by "Q," gathered the materials necessary to build a tiny home, complete with a generator and potted plants. Q earns money fixing electric scooters and wants to start his own business, stating that he hopes to be an example for others in his situation. Given that, what can we learn from Q's housing solution, and from others who are responding to the housing crisis in unique—yet logical—ways? Find out on today's episode of Upzoned, featuring host Abby Kinney and co-host Chuck Marohn! It's Casual Friday! Sam and Emma host Heather Digby Parton, contributing writer at Salon.com and proprietor of the blog Hullabaloo, to round up the week in news. Then, they're joined by author and documentary filmmaker Greg Mitchell to discuss his newest work "The First Attack Ads: Hollywood vs. Upton Sinclair," out on PBS and streaming now! Sam and Emma first run through updates on Biden's Cannabis pardons, setting weed on the road to decriminalization, the escalating nuclear tensions in Ukraine, and more, before diving deeper into the Right funneling out their drug fearmongering on CNN to paint Biden's executive action as radical (despite mass support in public opinion). Then Digby joins as they parse through Biden's recent comments on nearing “nuclear armageddon” with Putin's continued aggression in Ukraine centering more and more on the threat of nuclear action, discussing the various channels of diplomacy between Biden and Putin, before exploring the greater role the United States has begun to play in this conflict, capitalizing on this opportunity to engage in a proxy war where our opponent is already severely weakened and likely to lose, and what a practically anti-war foreign policy would look like. They then reflect on the classic GOP fear-mongering tactics in the leadup to midterms, from the four-year buildup of ACA fear-mongering from 2010-14 to the 2018 “Caravan” that had Minnesotans worried, looking at the recent impact of Fox's “Fentanyl in the Halloween Candy” as a return to a small-scale classic. Then, Greg Mitchell joins as he dives into the story of Upton Sinclair, a writer and early muckraker who published an exposé on Chicago's Stock Yards, before using the success of FDR to jumpstart a mass socialist movement in California heading into the 1934 governor election, where he appeared likely to emerge on top. However, Mitchell then dives into the bipartisan and Hollywood-backed coalition that came together against him, essentially becoming the first example of a modern negative campaign, featuring cinematic attack ads, outside political parties, the use of political consultants, national fundraising, and the outsourcing of advertising to Madison Ave and Hollywood Boulevard. Mitchell, Sam, and Emma walk through the major electoral archetypes that came out of this movement against Sinclair, where we still see them today, and how the backlash to this campaign lead to the liberalization of Hollywood. And in the Fun Half: Sam and Emma dive deeper into the nuances around being anti-war and pro-Ukrainians, why the Hitler comparison is nonsense, and why Putin's nuclear capabilities have to be taken seriously. They also explore the GOP's withdrawal from Herschel Walker, with Georgia's Lt. Gov coming out against his credentials, tackle the impact of the current economic moment and the role of recession discourse, and watch Mark Kelly call out Blake Masters' resting rich face. Greg Gutfeld talks about the attractiveness of college students, Matt Walsh cares more about consent in cancel culture than in sex-with-minors, and the crew touches on Dr. Oz the puppy-killer, plus, your IMs! Halloween Costumes and Haunted Houses - Halloween is fast approaching, but don't fret if you haven't decided what to be yet! In round one, hosts Jet Tila and Rosanna Pansino task four expert cookie makers with creating two costumes out of cookies! Things start to get spooky in round two as the cookiers construct 3D haunted buildings. To make sure their displays have a hauntingly delicious taste, they incorporate spirits like black raspberry liqueur, melon liqueur, absinthe and orange aperitif. One cookie monster will walk away with a trick-or-treat bag filled with $10,000 and the title of Halloween Cookie Champion. Halloween Cookie Party! - Four fantastic cookie makers look to disguise hosts Jet Tila and Rosanna Pansino with festive Halloween masks made from cookies. Then, the cookiers really get the hang of things as they craft edible Halloween party banners that can actually be hung up. The competitors will have to indulge their sweet tooth while using ingredients like candy corn, chocolate taffy, grape-flavored lollipop, and peanut butter candy. One winner will claim sweet success as they take home the $10,000 price and the title of Halloween Cookie Champion ABOUT CHEF JET TILA From the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Normandie Avenue in the heart of Los Angeles to the Las Vegas Strip; from backyard cooking classes to battling legends on "Iron Chef America"-Jet Tila has carved a singular niche as a culinary storyteller. Thanks to his diverse background and education, Tila is as comfortable as chef and consultant as he is teacher and student in the art of food. His numerous accomplishments in the culinary world continue to grow. In 2013 alone, Tila has partnered with the Compass Group, the world's largest food-service company, to launch Modern Asian Kitchen, a new fast-casual Pan-Asian concept with locations nationwide. He is also set to separately open Kuma Snow Cream, a shaved-ice concept launching in Las Vegas this spring, all while continuing to build on his extensive national TV and radio appearances as a guest judge on "Chopped," as well as hosting his own radio show on KLAA in Los Angeles. Tila grew up in his family's restaurant kitchens and markets in Los Angeles, home to the world's largest Thai population outside of Thailand. As a boy, he spent time learning the ancient traditions of Asian cuisine from his Cantonese grandmother and working in the famed Bangkok Market, which opened in 1972, and Royal Thai restaurant, which opened in 1978. "I call it birth luck," he says. "I was born into the 'first family' of Thai food in Los Angeles. My parents came here separately in 1966 and went on to open the first restaurants and grocery stores in this country and I was the kid doing homework in the back corner of the restaurant." Not initially sure if he would pursue a career in the kitchen, in his 20s, Tila says he "got it together" and decided to build a foundation for his passion and completed his culinary education at Le Cordon Bleu, establishing a framework of classical French technique to match his extensive knowledge of Asian cooking. He also completed an intensive study program at the California Sushi Academy. "My food is predominantly Thai and Chinese because it was the food I was exposed to growing up," he notes. "And my cooking overall represents the neighborhood I grew up in LA: between Thai Town, Chinatown, Koreatown, and Little Tokyo." Combining kitchen experience with the bold new world of food media was a natural move for Tila, whose backyard cooking classes attracted the attention of the Los Angeles Times. He has successfully transitioned from subject to producer by writing for the Times and contributing to many other publications and multimedia platforms, including National Public Radio, the Food Network, and his appearances on the "CBS Early Show," "No Reservations," "Best Thing I Ever Ate," and battling legendary Chef Masaharu Morimoto on "Iron Chef America," among many more. A highly sought-after consultant, Tila opened the cafe at Google headquarters in Silicon Valley and also currently maintains a wildly popular Asian food line through Schwan's Home Service. He keeps close to his roots by conducting "Melting Pot Food Tours" of Thai Town in Los Angeles, offering participants a curated tour of his favorite aspects of the neighborhood. In 2009, Tila debuted the acclaimed Wazuzu, a brilliant take on Pan-Asian dining, at Steve Wynn's Encore casino and resort on the Las Vegas Strip, which he was tapped to open in a record 98 days. More recently, he launched Bistronomics, an acclaimed series of pop-up restaurant experiences in Los Angeles. Tila has also set three world records: for creating the world's largest stir fry (4,010 lbs.); the world's largest seafood stew (6,656 lbs.); and the largest California roll (422 ft.). Tila's current and future projects promise to bring him and his culinary skills to more prominence. He is currently working with the Compass Group to open Modern Asian Kitchen, a fast-casual Pan-Asian concept with locations nationwide, and is branching out on his own to open Kuma Snowcream, a shaved-ice concept launching in Las Vegas in spring 2013-the product of which he says is "like fresh, powdered snow, but that is creamy and tastes like ice cream." "At this point, I am interested in creating concepts, not just one-offs," he says. "I am and always will be a chef, but I am also always interested in new ways to combine cooking, business, and communication, since I enjoy all of them as much as I enjoy teaching people about where I come from through my food." Tila currently lives in Los Angeles with wife, Allison, their two children, as well as two dogs.

Molly Lambert, creator of HeidiWorld: The Heidi Fleiss Story, joins us to talk the 1990 romantic comedy 'Pretty Woman'. We discuss the film's origins as a gritty tale of sex and drugs on the streets of Hollywood Boulevard, how the story both confronts and conforms to the sexual politics of the era, and the blinding star power of lead Julia Roberts. Later, we discuss Heidi Fleiss, her relationship to Hollywood in the era of Pretty Woman, and the frustrating trend of anti-sex discourse in film and media.Follow Molly Lambert on Twitter.Listen to HeidiWorld: The Heidi Fleiss Story ....Our theme song is "Mirror" by Chris Fish
In this episode of Understanding Crypto, James Burtt sits down with Zebu Digital's founder, Ashton Barger. Ashton has worked in the web3 industry for most of his career. He is currently focused on establishing innovative methods to assist brands and web-based businesses in developing IRL (in real life) activations, and bridging the gap between real-life activations and digital projects. Making the Transition to web3 Ashton's interest in bitcoin technology piqued in 2017 while he was a university student. He was particularly interested in alternative applications of blockchain technology outside of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, specifically use cases for supply chains for larger businesses as well as private and public blockchain applications. After graduating from university, he worked briefly at a marketing agency then left to get into blockchain full time. [Listen from 1:23] James comments, "What you've been able to do is take this web3 digital world and make sure that it interlinks and intertwines with the real world." Ashton responds that real-world applications for web3 brands are important for reaching a larger cross section of consumers. It's about making it easy for them to use and understand. He and James agree that new users need the right education, so that they would not be compelled to use Web 2.0-based solutions if more effective web3 technologies are available. Ashton encourages the companies he partners with to educate consumers about the transition from physical to digital through relatable examples. He thinks that the best course of action for organizations is to develop methods to reward their current real-world communities. "You've got to reward that community in a way that they actually want to be rewarded or that actually gives them genuine value," he says. [Listen from 8:12] NFTs Done the Right Way: Zebu Live In the Moonbird project, NFTs are merely a gateway to investment within the larger project. James believes the program has great promise as well as a practical, cutting-edge plan. He credits the project owner for the project's prospective success. Entrepreneurs who have expertise in launching real-world firms usually produce fruitful web3 projects, he posits. Ashton agrees: “I think what you'll start to see in web3 spaces, is that the ones that are going to stay around are the ones that know how to run a business, know how to keep revenue,” he tells James. He also supports a new start-up called Dancing SeaHorse, which is the title sponsor for his company's major annual event, Zebu Live which is a gathering of savvy brand builders and innovators. This group has been assisting businesses and developing experience in the music industry. Additionally, they have developed web3 spaces to bring music into the environment. They are now constructing a location on Hollywood Boulevard where NFT holders will have exclusive access. Community, functionality, and ownership are defining features of the web3 space and typically indicate a successful project, James remarks; he believes the project has potential. He and Ashton talk about the schedule for this year's Zebu Live conference. He is excited to chat with Steven Bartlett in particular. Additionally, he is eager to share his future plans for the area. Several keynote speakers' discussions will also share their vision for the web3 sector. James believes that the conference offers attendees a fantastic opportunity to interact with web3 technologists in the real world. [Listen from 19:25] The Way Forward Ashton's business, ZEBU, is eager to expand their Zebu Live model and host various conferences in addition to their regular gatherings. They've already started making preparations for Zebu Live 2023. He is optimistic about the future and believes that they have just begun to explore the sector's full potential. Key Takeaways: The right education is crucial to help brands bridge the knowledge gap between users' familiarity with Web 2.0 applications and the developing web3 industry. This week's guest got his start - as so many other great talents did - working for Roger Corman during the heyday of New World Pictures, first with the spastic comedy HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD and later with the ferocious Killer fish classic PIRANHA. He chased this early success with 1981's THE HOWLING, widely considered the greatest werewolf movie ever made. And then came GREMLINS in 1984, the blockbuster film that almost single handedly spurred on the invention of the PG-13 rating. He's one of the greatest horror and weird fantasy directors in history, he's Joe Dante and we are honored to have him in the Freakshow!
