In this flashback episode of the Wade Keller Pro Wrestling Podcast, we jump back to two episodes from five years ago this month - one covering Raw with host Wade Keller with co-host Pat McNeill and the other with Wade covering Smackdown solo with live callers. In the first episode from Nov. 28, 2016, Wade and Pat discuss the just-completed episode of Raw as it went off the air with live callers including reaction to Roman Reigns re-entering the world title picture, the main event Women's Title change and the Ric Flair appearance at the end, the Cesaro & Sheamus segment contrasted with the Paul Heyman segment, and more.In the second episode from Nov. 29, 2016, Wade went live right after Smackdown and discussed the largely good episode of Smackdown, with specific points of praise and some points of critique. A good mix of callers join the conversation as they “Live Watch” the premiere episode of “205 Live” in the background. Topics included Austin Aries on commentary on “205 Live,” the final hype for TLC, what might be next for Styles and others on Smackdown, what's not quite right with American Alpha yet, what's working with Alexa Bliss and Becky Lynch, and much more.

Today I watched WWE 2017 Week 52 aired December 25-27 including Raw 1283, SmackDown 958, 205 Live 57, Main Event 274 and NXT 427. We saw Samoa Joe vs Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins + Jason Jordan vs Cesaro + Sheamus, Kevin Owens vs AJ Styles, Ember Moon vs Sonya Deville, and the NXT Contendership Fatal Four-Way! I completely forgot to talk about the triple threat contendership match between the New Day, Rusev + Aiden English, and Gable + Benjamin! It was awesome!

Today I watched Week 3 of WWE 2017 which included Raw 1234, SmackDown Live 909, 205 Live 8, Main Event 225 and NXT 373! Even though it was a far better week of shows than last week, everything was kind of sunk having to follow the excellent UK Championship Tournament (Listen to my review here! ) Nonetheless, I did enjoy many moments this week including a Raw Tag Team Championship match between Cesaro + Sheamus and The Club, Alexa Bliss vs Becky Lynch in a cage match for the SmackDown Women's Championship, the identity of La Luchadora (#3... or #2?) revealed, a killer appearance by Dolph Ziggler on King's Court, an I Forfeit match between Ariya Daivari and Jack Gallagher, and what's next for Tye Dillinger! Watch for next week's review and my thoughts on what might (or what I hope will) happen at NXT Takeover San Antonio and the Royal Rumble!
