We’re all struggling with this second lockdown. The first lockdown was called for by the public, it was a novelty to work from home and we were naive in terms of how long it was going to last. However, this time around, we’ve gone into the planned six week lockdown, very much aware of the toll it will take on us. To try and ease that, Aoibhín Garrihy, actress and co-founder of Beo Wellness (also the granddaughter of the late Chris Droney and wife to John Burke from the Armada Hotel in Spanish Point), has taken it upon herself to try and bring joy to her followers on Instagram with a daily dose of poetry! Aoibhín has started #PoetryforPause to help us all reflect and deal with the difficulties that the pandemic is throwing at us. She herself has experienced the difficulties of trying to change the deliverance of BEO to meet the restrictions of the pandemic and so knows the heartache of every business person during these times. Similarly, her husband John Burke is trying to manage a hotel in these trying times. Aoibhín came on the line herself to read some poetry!
