It can be absolutely excruciating & maddening to be stuck in a mental and emotional loop of going over and over your feelings of anger, frustration, resentment, and contempt towards another person or situation. Yet if it feels so awful, why do we do it? What compels us to put ourselves through such misery and anguish and to what end? No problem has been ever been resolved in a state of anger, accusations, and hatred towards another. Yet it remains a common state of human beings. Are we meant to have these feelings? Or is it time to transcend them?On this Divine Feminine solo episode I share about a recent experience of waking up in the middle of the night in what I can only describe as a higher state, feeling as though I was out of my emotional body, and in a state of grace. I felt no connection with the stress, anger, & frustration I had felt for days prior regarding a specific situation. I realized I could be the presence of an archangel or just a brief respite from the dense energies of the human experience. Either way, it was lovely! In the lead-up to St. Patrick's Day, what better time to celebrate than to revisit what is considered by some to be a modern crime drama classic focusing on the Irish mafia?  Directed by Phil Joanou (Three O'Clock High), this story focuses on Terry (Sean Penn) who has recently moved back to the old neighborhood - Hell's Kitchen in New York City - and decides to join a "Westie" gang which includes his childhood best friend Jackie (Gary Oldman) and is also lead by Jackie's older brother Frankie played by Ed Harris.  Terry also rekindles a romance with his first love Kathleen (Robin Wright) who also happens to be sister to both Jackie and Frankie.  Further complicating matters, this Irish gang is currently negotiating a deal with the much larger local Italian mafia with which tensions are very high. :o And everything culminates just in time for St. Patrick's Day!  The stacked cast also includes John Turturro, John C. We are in a state of Grace and simply are not aware of it. Our Mind is the determiner of our awareness, and if it is directed by the ego, whose nature is problems, pain, suffering, unhappiness, etc., then we will be aware of that. If our Mind is directed by the Holy Spirit, then JOY and Peace and GRACE will ensue. Our awareness depends on what part of our Mind is in charge. We have free will to think whatever we want, but until we align our Thoughts with God's Thoughts, our results will be questionable. God's Peace and Joy are mine. This is a fact. Grace begins to dawn in us whne we are focused only on that.

Hello and welcome episode 47 of The DJ B-12 Deep Acid House Experience. I hope you are all doing well out there and I appreciate your support and listenership. This show is for the month of September 2023, and it is dedicated in memory of Ainsley Talbot, my 10-month 3-week-old kitten who passed on August 29, 2023. She had a terrible condition that left her disabled after she was about 2-3 months old. Although she was born normal with her surviving sister, Arianna and her brother, Jackson, it seems, her mother, Gracie (who was a stray cat I took in 3 weeks before they were born), contracted a virus while she was pregnant, which resulted in only Ainsley developing a condition that caused her cerebral cortex to not form properly. It started out with her motor skills diminishing and eventually led to her being only able to lay on her side and needing help doing everything. She was a true fighter, and she will always be my little hero and my best friend, but her broken little body just had enough.  She was the most beautiful, precious, and loving soul I've ever known.  As you can imagine, this was a bittersweet episode for me to do with losing her so young, which is one of the reasons it took me so long to get out, but I wanted to get a fresh mix out with new tunes that I could also dedicate to her. Although this set was worked out ahead of her passing, some of the tracks took on a special meaning because of lyrics and titles. RIP Ainsley girl. Synopsis Today's date in 1945 marks the birthday in Pittsburgh of the great American playwright August Wilson, who chronicled the experiences of the Great Northward Migration of African-Americans decade by decade across the one hundred years of the 20th century in a series of ten powerful and poetic plays collectively called “The Pittsburgh Cycle.” Plays in the series include Fences and The Piano Lesson, both of which won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.  Wilson was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame and a Broadway theater is named after him.American composer Kathryn Bostic provided theatrical scores for several of Wilson's plays, working closely with him. Because of her collaboration, Bostic also scored the PBS American Masters documentary August Wilson-The Ground on Which I Stand, which ultimately led her to create The August Wilson Symphony, which was premiered by the Pittsburgh Symphony in 2018.One of the major quests in Wilson's plays is what he called “finding one's song,” and music – especially the blues – figures large in his work. Perhaps with that in mind, Bostic composed a song entitled “State of Grace” as her personal memorial to Wilson, a song she has recorded, accompanying herself at the piano. Gary Oldman has got some severed hands in the freezer, but don't worry, it's not weird. It's just for doin' crimes and stuff.The Mikes are taking a look at the 1990 crime drama State of Grace also starring Sean Penn, Ed Harris, and Robin Wright. Mike Butler isn't a huge fan of this movie; from the Wright's unnecessary female love interest, to the overused "cop too deep undercover plot," the relationships have with Oldman's unhinged character and more.
