Prometheus recreates Orson Welles and the Mercury Theatre of the Air's historic production of the HG Wells classic, live at the Farpoint Hallowe'en Party on October 23rd, 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Baltimore North.  We start and end with a brief bit of silliness wherein our youngest member lampoons Orson, but overall it's a faithful recreation for an enthusiastic audience.  Paul Balze and June Swords are your announcers, John Scheeler is Carl Phillips, Steven H. Wilson is Professor Pierson, and Chris Carothers is the Stranger.  Also stars John Van Blarcom, Renee Wilson, Cindy Woods, Cindy Shockey, Ethan Wilson, Christian Wilson, John Weber and Renfield.  Sharon Van Blarcom and Lew Aide provided tech support, with Ethan Wilson and Chris Shockey on foley, Cindy Woods producing and Steven H. Four evil geniuses share a home and plot world domination.  In this episode, Golth, an out-of-work alien invader, meets Stella the vampire, Corky the Internet Pirate and Heinrich the Irish (wink) war criminal.  This was recorded live at Farpoint, so please bear with the background noise.  The first segment was recorded only via the audience mic due to technical difficulties.  You can hear everything, but the audience is loud.  This clears up at 11:57.  Gotta love live recording!Stars Steven H. Wilson as Golth, Cindy Woods as Stella, John Scheeler as Heinrich and Ethan Wilson as Corky.  Guest Stars are Felicia Day as Nicole, Lee Arenberg as the Zinbarian High Commander, Christian Wilson as Professor Perilous, Renee Wilson as the AI and Cindy Shockey as herself.  Foley was performed live by Eli Senter.  Sound Engineering by Marty Gear and Sharon Van Blarcom, with an able assist by John Vengrouskie and Larry Kozek.  Waste of Space was created and written by Steven H. Wilson and Ethan Wilson.  The song "Waste of Space" was composed by John Scheeler, with lyrics by Steven H. Wilson.  All additional music is by Kevin MacLeod.

This novel puts a new spin on the idea of the earthman who is suddenly torn from his home and cast into a fantastic world of warfare and (apparent) magic.  Our hero is not a seasoned veteran of war who happens to outclass all the members of an alien warrior culture; rather, he's a man of peace whose bravery is beyond compare, but whose moral convictions will be tested on a ruthless world.  Shepherd Autrey is a doctor and member of the Society of Friends in America in 1864.  On a mercy mission to the devastated Shenandoah Valley, he runs afoul of a Confederate press gang and is doomed to be hanged.  Instead, he begins an extraordinary adventure.  The first several chapters of this novel will be run on this cast in the coming weeks.  We're anxious to hear your feedback on the story.  In the Fall, it will be released in eBook format by Firebringer Press, and on podiobooks.com.  Special thanks to Eli Senter, Cindy Woods and Sandy Zier-Teitler for editorial services!
