Ihm zufolge überlastet der Solarstrom weder an heißesten Sommertagen noch an sonnigen Feiertagen das Netz, sondern versickert vor Ort - bei den Nachbarn ohne Solaranlage. "Das ist das perfekte Energiesharing." Das Problem ist Piepenbrink zufolge ein ganz anderes: Viele Netzbetreiber wissen schlicht nicht, wie stark ihr Stromnetz ausgelastet ist. Andere haben kein Interesse daran, dass die Erneuerbaren erfolgreich sind. Sie möchten die günstigere Konkurrenz loswerden. "Im Stromvertrieb gehen die Margen runter. Das möchte man durch Netzausbau und steigende Netzentgelte kompensieren." Seine Warnung: Energieversorger und Katherina Reiche wissen nicht, was sie in Netzpaket und EEG-Novelle beschlossen haben.
