Clyde Davenport's Kentucky fiddling is the inspiration for this arrangement. Rather than use open G tuning, the first string is tuned up to an E note, called "guitar tuning." I preferred staying at the 7th fret and below for the B part.

Banjo Hangout Newest 100 Clawhammer and Old-Time Songs

The Tune of the Week for 11/19/21 is called Geese Honking. When it was recorded by the source fiddler, Clyde Davenport, he called it Wild Goose Chase. Other tunes have this title and perhaps that's why the title changed over time. Anyway, here's what I hear Clyde playing on fiddle in the key of Bb. I tuned down lower than normal in the tuning of fBbFBbD to match his fiddle. This is the tuning Nick Hornbuckle played in and it was his 2-finger version which really inspired me to learn. I see the geese flying when I drive down to town, as the rice fields filled with water attract many migrating birds. Today being Thanksgiving, I'm grateful for the forthcoming turkey dinner and thankful we have good food to eat this day and family to enjoy it with.

Played by the treasured fiddler of Kentucky, Clyde Davenport, this Tune of the Week introduced me to a second CD of field recordings I wouldn't have known about. This crooked tune is typical of Mr. Davenport's unique, but traditional Appalachian tunes with roots that usually go farther back across the sea.

In this interview I interview Jamie Hunt and find out how a former triathlete created $100m business 2XU. I have loved 2xu for over 10 years now and believe in the science behind the brand, I hope you will be inspired to build the life of your dreams after you listen to this episode!.2XU was founded in 2005 by Hunt, a former elite triathlete, underwear entrepreneur Clyde Davenport, and sales and marketing specialist Aidan Clarke..Serial entrepreneur Davenport made his fortune with his eponymous boxer shorts business and bankrolled the start-up with a loan of almost $1 million, which Hunt says was "a drop in the ocean" compared with 2XU's value today with a turnover of more than $US75 million ($100 million) globally..DM me on Instagram if you have any questions!ORWebsite: www.neuroathletics.com.auEmail: hello@neuroathletics.com.au Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_thediamondbossFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/neuroathletics_Personal Website: www.thediamondboss.comTwitter: https://twitter.com/thediamondbosss
