Ramona Yacef is a DJ and music producer from Turin, Italy, whose journey into music began at the age of five with classical piano training. What started as a childhood passion quickly evolved into a lifelong dedication to sound, leading her deep into the realms of electronic music, particularly house and techno. A key player in Italy's underground scene, Ramona rose to prominence through her work with the influential collective We Play The Music We Love. Her growing reputation eventually led her to Paris, where she continued to build her profile with standout performances at iconic clubs like Concrete and Rex Club, as well as internationally renowned venues including Output (New York), Club der Visionaere (Berlin), and Sunwaves Festival (Romania), among others. Ramona's discography includes notable collaborations, such as her release on Ruta5 alongside Ricardo Villalobos and Dandy Jack. She is also the founder of Lescale Recordings, a respected label known for its focus on authenticity, sonic depth, and global musical influences rooted in themes of travel and exploration. Dividing her time between the studio and the stage, Ramona also holds a residency on Radio Raheem and regularly collaborates with the Crazy Jack collective, continuing to shape and inspire the sound of contemporary electronic music.

On this episode we feature an outstanding back to back by two of the most prolific electronic music producers in Chile: Alejandro Vivanco & Felipe Venegas, the episode is a cut from a live performance at Complot Nights in the beautiful city of Valparaiso, Chile. Alejandro Vivanco (@telepong) >> was born in Viña del Mar, and since his early childhood, he developed an interest in music, as his father used to play tenor sax and owned a huge jazz records collection. At the early age of 7 years, he used to spend many hours in front of the stereo. Later, when he became a teenager, he started playing electric guitar in several school bands, influenced by the music of bands like Sonic Youth, Jesus & Mary chain and Pixies, among others. Meanwhile, around 1996 he started to have an affinity for sound experimentation, that affinity lead him to start developing a close relationship with machines, and conduced him to create his solo project called Telepong, a project that had a strong influence from the sounds of Detroit and Acid House. As he walked the path of electronic music, he got attracted to the emerging Chilean electronic scene and made him take a step ahead to turntables. That pavemented his career as a DJ and in 2001 earned him a residency in “Club La Feria” Chile’s battle horse Club, and where he still plays. In terms of his music style, he define’s it in simple words as "precise rythms with radical sound contrasts and evolving rich grooves.” Felipe Venegas (@felipevenegas) >>> studied classical and theory at the conservatory in Santiago (Chile) and we're awfully glad he did since his scholarly days he's ventured into more electronic realms, retaining a rhythmic, percussive feel that we just love. But as happen most of the time his true musical education took place outside the classroom, in clubs where the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano and Dandy Jack, were creating a new culture of sound. Felipe spent his weeks studying Beethoven, Bach and Ravel, but at the weekends he escaped to the underground electronic music scene, soaking up the spirit of techno, house and acid. Before that, he learned the essential relationship between music and movement from his dancer father, who taught him the timeless rhythms of salsa and rumba. In a very short time, Felipe cemented a reputation as one of Chile’s finest DJs and producers, he is also the guy behind @drumma-records . The Terrace Podcast Episode 194 presents an outstanding DJ set by one of the greatest Techno Icons; Ricardo Villalobos Ricardo Villalobos is a Chilean electronic music producer and DJ. He is well-known for his work in the minimal techno and microhouse genres. Villalobos was born in the capital of Chile, Santiago, in the year 1970. However, at the age of three he moved to Germany with his family after General Augusto Pinochet overthrew the socialist government of Salvador Allende in 1973. When Ricardo was around 10 or 11 he started to play conga and bongos. Though he loved music, he could never see himself as a musician. In the late eighties he began to make electronic music. From a very young age he has been a a big fan of Depeche Mode, even following their tours around Europe to listen to them. Villalobos takes much of his inspiration from Depeche Mode, as well as other artists such as Daniel Miller, Thomas Melchior, Baby Ford, Daniel Bell and Andrew Weatherall. He has also taken inspiration from rhythmic South American music. Villalobos began to play his music at parties while he was studying at university, but this was only for his own enjoyment. He started a label, Placid Flavour, in 1993 but this was unsuccessful. His first record was released on the German Playhouse label in 1994 and he began DJing as a professional in 1998, and is in present times regarded as one of the most important minimal DJs in Europe, alongside other talented chilean djs and producers such as Luciano Nicolet (an occasional collaborator) and Dandy Jack. This was an Exclusive Mix for 2702 Re-aired in "The Terrace Podcast Edition" www.theterracepodcast.com

Recorded in Pacha (Ibiza) During the Cadenza Vagabundos Residence Party (Essential Mix) No Introduction needed for Luciano, Simply a master at work. Born in 1978, Luciano is a DJ since 1993 and a producer since 1997. In the mid-90's, he was promoting Sense Club and Encuentros con la Technocultura in Santiago de Chile in the company of many initiators of the Latin American electronic music scene: Senor Coconut AKA Atom Heart, Ricardo Villalobos, Dandy Jack & brother Adrian Schopf, Washington Miranda, Argenix Brito, Microman etc. He's played radio stations and DJed clubs & events in Santiago and Latin America, Germany, Spain & Holland, settling in Switzerland in 2000 to release on Mental Groove Records in Geneva, where he also holds a residency at the Weetamix club. His releases appear on the Transmat, Perlon, Lo-Fi Stereo, Bruchstuecke and Klang Elektronik record labels. Luciano's mixed Swiss & Chilean identity shows in his music, a somewhat mystical blend of deep techno & electro that integrates southern elements in rhythms and colorful patterns in sound. His collaborations with Ricardo Villalobos (Playhouse, Perlon, Warp, Force Inc etc.) as Sense Club are especially rewarding, as is his partnership with Pier Bucci and Argenix Brito as Monne Automne. Mellowing his style as times goes by, getting more experimental and spacey with a fresh style of his own, Luciano's production is destined to the wiser dancefloors that have enjoyed his live sets in Peru, Chile, Argentina, the U.S., Spain, Germany & Switzerland. DJ-wise, Luciano's trade relies on groovy & minimal.
