The very first Arc Analysis episode we did (wayyy back in 2019) was for Volume 1 of a wonderful book called Deadly Class. In some ways, it helped us kick off this podcast... In other ways, I just made that up for dramatic effect! Anyways, this is the continued misadventures of a high school for assassins, and it's very 80's in the most fun ways. How are Marcus and Maria getting on after the stuff with Chico? How does Says work into the mix? Is Chester (aka Fuckface) getting closer to his goal? What's Willie and Billy up to now that the school is in full swing, and what new characters are joining the mix? We got you covered, soft cheeses and new meats - listen in --Hit us up at comicpatrolpod@gmail.com if you want to add a submission for a future Arc Analysis-- --Follow the Weapons on Twitter @Comic_Patrol for some extra tidbits of fun (we maybe promise it isn't creepy D pics)--

This episode is our overdue Deadly Class Vol. 1: Reagan Youth review. Sure, our report is late (and a C- if we're lucky) but the material is a straight A. For extra credit we also discuss our surprising lack of interest in the Swamp Thing DC Universe series, how the 2018 Halloween Michael Myers may be the best Michael Myers, how to eat pizza and steak… It's just all over the board, honestly. In 2014, author Rick Remender launched a comic book based upon his own youth in the 1980s combined with some comic-book-flare. That book was Deadly Class, a series about a school for assassins, and it was so well received that it became a show on the SyFy Channel in early 2019. But out of all of Remender's work - it's the book I like the least. Join me as I breakdown Deadly Class volume one as I try to figure out why.

Issue #177: Batgirl Variant, New Costumes and Southern Cross LOTS of stuff went down this week and all before we recorded so there is quite a bit to go over. There's the controversy over Rafael Albuquerque's Batgirl variant cover and The Killing Joke. There's the post-Convergence costumes for Wonder Woman and Superman that were revealed (spoilers: they're awful). And then there's certain higher ups over at Image ranting about the "vocal minority" on Twitter and then pulling a very Rob Ford-esque apology. So, you know. Stuff happened. If you get a chance, make sure to check out this blog by Adam Gorham regarding the male fanboy perspective on the Batgirl variant controversy and The Killing Joke. We get into everything throughout the show and then there's the good ol' regular segments in which we talk about comics. These ones in particular... Lightning Round The Surface #1, Deadly Class Vol. 2, Sheltered #15, Operation S.I.N. #3, Saga #26, Spider-Gwen #2, Thor #6, Spawn Resurrection #1, Powers (TV show). Book of the Week Hellbreak #1, Howard the Duck #1, Ninjak #1, Silver Surfer #10. Shared Book of the Week Southern Cross by Becky Cloonan and Andy Belanger FYI: the crew have gone all superhero on the world, thanks to the wonderful Hanie Mohd. Like them?
