Compass, episode 14Our previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/gold-stocks-show-strong-growth-as-markets-pause-7048Recording date: 6th May 2025Olive Resource Capital has reported a strong start to 2025, achieving a net portfolio gain of approximately 23–24% through April. The performance is attributed to significant gains in key gold and copper holdings, with standout contributions from Omai Gold Mines and Troilus Gold, both of which have nearly doubled in value. Arizona Sonoran, a copper-focused investment, also added to the momentum with a 30% gain, supported by rising investor interest and developments such as Hudbay's strategic involvement. The firm maintains over 50% of its portfolio in precious metals, favoring advanced-stage assets with clear paths to production or acquisition. Their investment strategy distinguishes between two categories: fundamental holdings, like Omai and Arizona Sonoran, which are held based on valuation and long-term potential; and liquid positions, consisting of larger-cap gold equities that can be adjusted in response to market conditions.A significant portion of the recent episode of Compass, the firm's investor show hosted by Executive Chair Derek Mcpherson and CEO Sam Pelaez, focused on sector-wide trends—particularly consolidation and capital flows. The duo discussed Gold Fields' $2.4 billion acquisition of Gold Road Resources. While the transaction's ~$600/oz valuation appears above historical averages, they noted that the quality of the Gruyere project and the premium jurisdiction of Western Australia may justify the pricing, especially in a potentially rising gold price environment.Equally notable was the discussion around Southern Cross Consolidated's C$120M+ equity financing. As a pre-resource exploration company, such a capital raise is rare and considered a strong signal of renewed appetite for high-grade gold systems. Sunday Creek, Southern Cross's flagship asset in Victoria, has delivered encouraging exploration results and now has the funding runway for aggressive drilling over the next two years. Olive had previously held shares in Mawson Gold, Southern Cross's predecessor, and exited with a 100% return. Finally, the team highlighted Australia's increasingly dominant role in mining market activity. With major takeovers, robust fundraising, and strong equity performance across top producers, the pace of development there contrasts with a slower environment in Canada. For investors, the message is clear: the resource sector is experiencing renewed momentum. Strategic positioning in advanced-stage projects, particularly in strong jurisdictions, may offer the most resilient upside as capital re-engages with the sector.Sign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

Southern Cross Gold Consolidated CEO Michael Hudson talked with Proactive at the AIM's Small and Midcap Conference about the company's focus on gold and antimony exploration in Victoria, Australia, particularly at the Sundae Creek project. Hudson outlined the scale and significance of the discovery, describing it as “one of the most exciting gold discoveries globally… a rare tier one multi-million ounce high grade discovery.” The company is advancing exploration rapidly, with six drill rigs currently operating and plans to expand to eight. Hudson said the company has completed around 70km of drilling and estimates an exploration target of 2.2 to 3.2 million ounces gold equivalent, grading between 8.5 to 10.6 grams per tonne – all within just 5% of the identified trend. Antimony also plays a key role. Hudson explained that China and Russia dominate the global market and recent export bans have highlighted supply vulnerabilities: “You don't have a defense industry without it. And the Western world really doesn't have it. We've got it.” Hudson also reflected on the company's recent inclusion in the All Ordinaries Index, following the merger of Canadian and Australian entities. He said it marks the first index entry for Southern Cross Gold Consolidated and is “a reflection on a business that's less than three years old.” #SouthernCrossGold #SundayCreek #GoldExploration #Antimony #ASX #MiningStocks #JuniorMiners #ResourceInvesting #MichaelHudson #AllOrdinaries #GoldAndAntimony #AustralianMining

Have you ever wondered how data from the telescopes that peer into our universe ends up in the hands of the astronomers who interpret it? To find out, Dr. Charles Liu and co-host Allen Liu welcome Robert Sparks, currently from the NSF's NOIRLab, but previously Fermi Lab and the Sloan Sky Survey. The National Optical InfraRed Astronomy Research Lab is responsible for operating the National Science Foundation's ground based, nighttime optical and near infrared astronomy for the United States. Robert describes their Community Science Data Center which ties all the data from all their telescopes together to make it available for astronomers around the world to use in their research. As always, though, we start off with the day's joyfully cool cosmic thing, a project coming out of NOIRLab called 88 Constellations. Robert, who spearheaded the project, explains how the final, incredibly detailed image combined classic constellations and new, modern additions and covered the entire sky. One of his favorite parts of the project? Learning about the constellations in the southern hemisphere that doesn't get to see that often, like the Southern Cross. Chuck, Allen and Robert share some of their experiences stargazing down below, and yes, you know Chuck takes the opportunity to sing us a little Crosby, Stills and Nash! You'll also hear which constellation is the smallest in the southern hemisphere, Crux (the Southern Cross) or Delphinus. Then it's on to audience questions. Our first comes from Amirah, who asks, “Blue stars are hotter than red stars, so does that mean blue light bulbs are hotter than red light bulbs? Why would something's color matter about how hot something is?” The short answer: yes (pre-LED, that is!) Robert's long answer involves black body radiation, the electromagnetic spectrum, and red giant carbon stars. Rob shares stories from a career that bridges astronomy and particle physics, including how he got his hands on some original scintillator material from particle detectors at Fermi Lab. (Check out The LIUniverse on Patreon for a scintillating deep dive into…well, scintillation!) The next audience question, from Bryan, is particularly relevant to the discussion: How do astronomy and physics work together? In many, ways, as Robert and Chuck explain. Allen shares the story of the discovery of the element Helium, which was first discovered in the Sun by astronomers, hence its name. You'll also get to hear about Robert's 38-year-long career in improv comedy – and get to watch him (and his cat) act out scenes prompted by Chuck. Finally, we've got one last audience question from Jerry, who says, “I live really far away from the city and I don't have a telescope. What's the best way for me to do astronomy research?” Robert, who grew up in Iowa, tells Jerry about citizen science astronomy projects he can get involved like those at The Zooniverse. You'll hear about how, while working at a program there known as the Galaxy Zoo, a Dutch schoolteacher named Hanny Van Arkel discovered a weird light echo from a quasar that is now known as “Hanny's Voorwep” (Hanny's Object). If you'd like to find out more about NOIRLab, the National Optical InfraRed Astronomy Research Lab, check out their website. To keep up with Robert Sparks, you can follow him @halfastro on Bluesky, Threads, Flikr, and Instagram. We hope you enjoy this episode of The LIUniverse, and, if you do, please support us on Patreon. Southern Cross Gold CEO Michael Hudson joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share exciting updates with Proactive, marking the company's commencement of trading on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) under the ticker symbol “SX2.” The company, formed through the merger of Mawson Gold Limited and Southern Cross Gold, has taken strategic steps to consolidate its position as a significant player in the mining sector. A major highlight is the consolidation of ownership of the Sunday Creek gold project in Victoria, Australia, regarded as one of the world's top gold and antimony discoveries. Hudson emphasized the extensive exploration efforts, including 70–80 kilometers of drilling, and the project's remarkable hit rates, which stand out within the mining industry. Southern Cross Gold aims to identify 3 million ounces of gold at ten grams per tonne through further exploration. The Victorian government has expressed strong support for the project, recognizing its potential to boost the local economy and global resources supply. Hudson also underscored the strategic importance of antimony, a critical metal with industrial and military applications, noting that most global supply is dominated by China and Russia. With Sunday Creek ranking among the top three non-Chinese and non-Russian antimony projects worldwide, it holds significant geopolitical and market value. #proactiveinvestors #asx #sx2 #tsxv #sxgc #GoldMining #SundayCreek #Antimony #MichaelHudson #MiningExploration #DualListing #CriticalMetals #GoldDiscovery #ProactiveInvestors

SpaceTime Series 28 Episode 06Formation of Pluto-Charon Binary SystemA new study reveals that the formation of the Pluto-Charon dwarf planet binary system may mirror that of the Earth-Moon system. The research, published in Nature Geoscience, suggests that both systems feature a secondary body significantly large in comparison to the primary, unlike other moons in our solar system. The findings could explain Pluto's active geology and potential subsurface ocean, highlighting the significance of giant impacts in shaping planetary bodies.BepiColombo's Final Mercury FlybyThe BepiColombo spacecraft has completed its final close flyby of Mercury, passing just 295 kilometres above the planet's surface. Hebrews 2:1-4 — Why do we praise God? Why do we worship him and gather together so often? In Dr Martyn Lloyd-Jones' sermon on Hebrews 2:1-4, he explains why we worship God in such a way. To answer such questions, Dr. Lloyd-Jones first explains what Christianity is. Many people think that Christianity is simply an activist movement for World Peace and philanthropy; however, that simply is not the case. Dr. Lloyd-Jones states that although good deeds are often associated with Christianity, the purpose of the Christianity is to spread the gospel of salvation. It is the mission of the Christian to spread God's great salvation to the ends of the earth. Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones states that the reason the masses have not been converted is because we have failed to show them the greatest thing in the world, the gospel of salvation. But many ask the question, how will we get people to listen and value this Gospel as it truly should be? The only way to do this, is to show them their need for salvation. If an unbeliever has no need for salvation, then why should he care for it. To present the gospel of salvation in all its due glory and power, the unbeliever must be made aware of his sin. It is necessary to tell the unbeliever that he is sinful and deserves eternal banishment from the presence of God. Only once this is made clear can the gospel of salvation be presented. Only then will the unbeliever see the true love of God for sending his one and only son to die on our behalf. As Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones states, “ The gospels true greatness can be seen only when we realize that the omnipotent God became a simple human for our sakes.”

There are more people than ever with private medical insurance. In a so-called “cost of living crisis”, over 15,000 more people joined Southern Cross last year – and that's just one company. They now have almost a million customers. Having delt with my company recently over a series of issues, I can inform you I pay over $4000 a year and I have never made a claim in my life. So far, they are winning. But I know a person who had an operation the other day that had a value attached of $40 thousand. It wasn't a major operation, the surgeon did seven of them that day. Seven operations at $40 thousand, that's a lot of business for one surgeon in one day, in one clinic. Which would explain why Southern Cross was paying out $6 million a day last year. Think about it – $6 million for every business day last year My obvious question is what's wrong with us? Half of members made a claim last year – there were over 3 million actual claims. How is that possible? As a result of all these claims Southern Cross ran a deficit. They also had to deal with increased cost of claims. That's 50%. That 50% by the way, compares to 33% in 2019. So, in the past handful of years there has been an explosion in medical claims. Why? Knees up 17%, colonoscopy up 17%, hips up 11% - is that age? Are we all just literally falling apart? The simple reality is this can't continue. Well it can, but at a price, and is it any surprise the price is going up? Part of the reason the insurance numbers getting up I have no doubt is because the public system is under pressure. So a public system not working well on anything outside emergency, and the private system under pressure from ever growing numbers of claims, is it possible we are not well as a country? How come so many people are actively engaged with the health system? Are we worse than Australia, for example, and if so, why? How long can a private model go for whereby the prices go up and up, along with the claims? We seemingly getting sicker and sicker – why? Is this not the cold hard truth that when they say health is a bottomless pit, it's true? Because these numbers show it is. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Michael Hudson, Managing Director of Southern Cross Gold, discusses the company's exploration efforts at the Sunday Creek project in Victoria, Australia. He highlights the significance of their recent discoveries, the role of antimony in their operations, and the innovative use of AI technology through a partnership with Vrify to enhance exploration efficiency. Hudson also outlines the company's drilling strategy and the importance of community engagement in overcoming challenges in the mining sector.
Is tanking faith in the health system driving more people to sign up for private insurance? The country's largest health insurer Southern Cross Health gained 15,000 new customers last year bringing its membership to more than 955,000 people, despite a cost of living crisis. It's also seen cost of claims increase by 15 percent, paying out an average of 6 million dollars per business day. 50 percent of its members made a health claim last year compared to 33 percent in 2019 . The rush in people buying medical insurance comes against a back drop of a health system in crisis, doctor shortages, blow outs in wait times for cancer treatment, specialist appointments and elective surgeries, plus controversaries over drug funding. Nick Astwick from the Southern Cross Health Society spoke to Lisa Owen.
Kiwis are increasingly moving to private healthcare and it is costing health insurance companies. Southern Cross Health Insurance paid out close to $1.5 billion in claims in the last year – equal to $6 million every business day. 2024 results from Southern Cross show the number of claims made is up with 995,000 kiwis now on the books. Southern Cross Health Society Group CEO Nick Astwick tells Heather du Plessis-Allan kiwis are concerned about access to quality healthcare. In a normal year, the insurer finds one third of its members make a claim, but in 2024 nearly half did. LISTEN ABOVESee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

A homegrown programme aims to help children become more resilient. Sir Ashley Bloomfield has launched a new mindfulness practice in schools through Pause, Breathe, Smile. It comes as Southern Cross's latest Healthy Futures survey shows 60 percent of parents are concerned about their children's ability to cope with the pressures of life. He says it's shown to drive more positive behaviours, help children regulate emotions and pay attention. "You don't just want something that's going to work while the children are in class - but actually, it does endure and it carries over into other aspects of their lives." Born in New York City and raised in the Caribbean as Richard Gerstein - Richard T. Bear boasts a career that spans more than 40 years, one that led to a string of acclaimed solo albums and collaborations with a number of influential icons, including Al Kooper, Stephen Stills, former Rascals Gene Cornish and Dino Danelli, Kiss, Pat Benatar and many more. He has shared stages with artists such as Dave Mason, Mick Fleetwood, the Doobie Brothers, Richie Havens and Odetta. T. Bear penned "Love and Pain," a track found on Take Me Home, one of Cher's most successful albums and also tallied several hits on his own, including the single "Sunshine Hotel" from his debut album Red, Hot and Blue. He has appeared on a number of recordings including CSN's Southern Cross, Billy Squier's Tale of the Tape and The Blues Brothers Soundtrack album. After taking some time to focus on his own sobriety, T. Bear became an early activist helping others with addiction. His self-imposed hiatus lasted nearly three decades, and now T Bear is back with two striking new releases, Fresh Bear Tracks and The Way of the World, his first studio albums in 25+ years. Richard is a distinctive singer and talented keyboard player. His latest albums feature a host of special guests. From Stephen Stills, Robby Krieger, Edgar Winter, Walter Trout, to former Paul McCartney & Wings members Laurence Juber and Denny Seiwell and The Heartbreakers' Benmont Tench. His latest album, The Way of The World, was written and recorded as the world emerged from the pandemic. It boasts a stunning set of 13 original songs. Musically, it's a stirring melodic mix of blues, rock n roll, Americana, and roots. T. Bear's first album spawned the single “Sunshine Hotel.” A remix of the song climbed to #4 on the world dance charts before becoming the dance staple that it remains today. Richard has appeared on numerous recordings by iconic artists including Crosby, Stills and Nash's Southern Cross, The Blues Brothers Soundtrack, Richie Havens Mixed Bag II, Kiss members Gene Simmons and Peter Criss' solo ventures, as well as Toby Beau's hit single My Angel Baby. As a soloist T Bear found his initial inspiration in the sounds of the British Invasion. At age 13 he was writing his own songs. An early break came when he was working at Manny's Music in New York City when Hot Tuna's Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady stopped in and hear him improvising on piano. They were impressed enough to ask him to sit in with them during a Hot Tuna show at the famed Fillmore East. He worked for a time as Carly Simon's road manager and opened shows for the likes of Jeff Beck and Richie Havens before moving to Los Angeles. In 1983, he took a lengthy hiatus from making music to get his personal life in order before returning to action in 2017. Fast forward to the present and T Bear is so excited about the new album. As he puts it, “Making The Way of the World was like getting a new pair of glasses. I see everything more clearly and in focus around me. These are songs that made me think and dream. It's an oasis for the mind.” Meet Richard T Bear this week as he unravels his incredible story of survival and comeback against all odds. I hope you really enjoy this episode.
In this episode, we chat with Michael Hudson, Managing Director of Southern Cross Gold, a junior miner exploring for gold and antimony in the Victorian Goldfields and working on their 100% owned flagship project at Sunday Creek, which is one of the best new grassroots discoveries in Australia with a globally leading high-grade hit rate for this stage of the project's development. Michael is a professional geologist, explorationist, and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in exploration, project development and management in Australia and internationally. Apart from being the MD of Southern Cross, he is also the founder of Mawson Gold and Hannah Metals, so has a strong pedigree in starting up mining companies. He discusses the journey of Southern Cross, their flagship Sunday Creek project, their community relations work, and shares the history of the Victorian Gold Fields in Australia so don't miss this. KEY TAKEAWAYS Southern Cross Gold is a junior miner exploring for gold and antimony in the Victorian goldfields, with a flagship project called Sunday Creek. Victoria has a rich mining history dating back to the 1800s gold rush era, making it a significant mining state in Australia. Antimony, a critical metal used in defense applications, is a key component of the Southern Cross Gold project, contributing to its value and potential. Southern Cross Gold has actively engaged with the local community, including native title holders and municipal authorities, to ensure support and understanding for the project. With a focus on high-grade gold and antimony extraction, Southern Cross Gold aims to continue its drilling program to potentially reach 3 million ounces of gold equivalent, showcasing a promising future for the project. BEST MOMENTS "I was sixth generation from a little country town, the oldest inland town in Victoria, because it was one day stagecoach ride from Melbourne to this town called Kilmore for the diggers, not the diggers, literally the diggers who went to the goldfields." "So it's sort of come back to where it all started and you know in my mid-50s I'm happy to be exploring in my backyard. In my 30s I would have dismissed it out of hand because I wanted to travel the world, which I did." "Gold will pay for it, so we don't have to rely on the risk of the antimony price. It's not like a chemistry set, it's simple chemistry to extract it." "We're drill baby drill. We're increasing our drill capacity. We put 60 kilometers into this over the last two and a half years. We're going to put 60 kilometers into it over the next year." Under a dark sky, the Milky Way is impressive – a milky band of light that outlines the disk of our home galaxy. But the band isn’t smooth. It’s lumpy, with some parts much wider and brighter than others. And a dark lane runs down its middle, bisecting the Milky Way into two bands. It, too, is lumpy. That dark lane is known as the Great Rift, and it looks almost empty – as though a cosmic dragon has swallowed most of the stars. Instead, the darkness has simply swallowed the light of the stars behind it. That’s because the dark lane is made of giant clouds of dust. They block the visible light of the stars inside and behind them, just as a dark cloud here on Earth can block the Sun from view. Perhaps the most famous cloud is the Coalsack, an especially big “hole” in the Milky Way. It’s in the Southern Cross, which is too far south to see from the continental United States. The Coalsack is about 600 light-years from Earth, and spans about 60 or 70 light-years. There’s also the Northern Coalsack. It’s just about as big as the southern version, although it’s not quite as dark or well-defined. Still, there’s a definite gap in the stars there. It’s in Cygnus. As night falls now, it’s to the right of Deneb, the bright star that marks the swan’s tail. The Northern Coalsack veils an especially bright region behind it – one of the biggest stellar nurseries in our part of the galaxy. More about that tomorrow. Script by Damond Benningfield
It's the middle of the night, and somehow I have returned to the mountains and plains of Northern Kenya. In a language I can understand only while dreaming, I have been invited to skim mud from the surface of a freshly dug singing well with a carved wooden cup. Voices rise above the trumpeting of elephants and the bleating of goats. My body awkwardly recalls the gestures of this ritual. An upward whistle follows every earthly bow according to a rhythm passed from voice to voice through generations.Suddenly, I awaken in my bed — a world away, thick with fatigue, and feeling vaguely bereft. Did I fail the task? Now, how will that murky groundwater ever run clear? My senses tenderized by the dark, I shuffle through my unlit home and touch the minor attributes of this particular life: a thick cashmere throw I bought along the Irish coast, the flecked stone countertops my children love to run their hands along, the soft, sage leaves of a potted plant. Our home seems to have settled back into its bones in our time away. The garden has filled greenly in the monsoon rains, and plump raspberries are ready to be picked and eaten. For the Samburu, the semi-nomadic pastoral people of Northern Kenya, daily life is organized according to the law of water, blood, milk, and meat. The sacred dwells in higher places. Homes are shoulder-height and constructed of straight sticks mixed with mud, dung, and ash paste. They are situated such that a Samburu must bow toward the mountain each time he enters. A circular briar enclosure keeps the camels, cows, and goats in and the leopards and lions out.Our friend, Tilas, explains that the marbling on his calf came from the blaze of a lion's paw, a relic from when he was a young warrior, freshly circumcised, with an able spear. He touches each plant, naming its properties and uses as we walk. Tilas introduces us to the stars, explaining how they determine when and for what his people pray. He traces a line from Alpha Centauri to Beta Centauri to Gacrux at the tip of the Southern Cross. When asked about his home, he nods over the mountain: “Under the full moon, it's a six-hour walk.” In recent years, the Samburu have built an indigenous-owned conservancy for wildlife, the first orphanage of its kind in Africa. Reteti is home to an absurdly cute troupe of 47 baby elephants. Five times daily, they are bottle-fed goat milk provided by herders from the surrounding villages.“Elephants remember everything; we help them remember they belong.”When new orphans arrive, often in the aftermath of trauma, the keepers cradle them, sleep alongside them, and surround them with the healing chants they learned around the singing wells of their youth — sometimes night and day for weeks. After years of care and intentional preparation, the elephants are returned within their adopted family systems to the lands from which they came.“Most of us have been displaced from those cultures of origin, a global diaspora of refugees severed not only from the land but from the sheer genius that comes from belonging in symbiotic relation to [it].” ― Tyson Yunkaporta, Sand Talk: How Indigenous Thinking Can Save the WorldIt's not that I long for any home but this one. Lord knows I bristle at the implicit expectations of women even in this privileged world — expectations that pale in comparison to the norms of most women's lives around the world. But it is a transmission of the spiritual force of symbiosis to be among the Samburu. Some primal memory stirs in proximity to a culture that still listens for water in the earth and prays according to the mountains, stars, and seasons. Indeed, there is earthly sanity — “sheer genius” — in remembering that we are not orphans among the family of things and that our rightful place is as an intermediary, guardian species. As daylight rises, I climb a nearby mountain to survey the valley beneath. This valley contains the daily rituals of my human life. It is where I drive my children to school and share meals with friends. From this vantage point, I can close my eyes and imagine buildings and highways gently swept like eraser shavings from a living canvas, revealing a landscape beneath our human claim. When I dream of singing wells, I remember an irreducible wilderness, a relationship that has always been — and find solace in it.The Guest House is a reader-supported publication. Neil Armstrong (no, not THAT one) stepped into the studio, fresh from his fly fishing conquests in Argentina. With the same precision he uses to land a feisty Patagonian trout, Neil spins tales of camaraderie, the serenity of the cast, and the strategy behind chasing the legendary rainbow trout across South America. He isn't just a master with a fly rod; his stories pull you into a world where patience is rewarded, and the thrill of the catch is matched only by the beauty of the journey. From his three-year plan to combat the unpredictable Patagonian winds to the tactical choice of the perfect fly, Neil isn't shy about sharing his evolution into a fly fishing maestro. He takes us through the highs of a 16-minute dance with a great fish all while painting a picture of the delicate balance between the sport's required persistence and its unspoken peace of scenery. Lace up your boots and zip up your waders; we're exploring the backcountry of El Calafate, the art of roll casting in gusts that would knock your hat off, and the joy of reconnecting with nature.Ending on a high note, his travels, sharing the Southern Cross's awe from remote corners of the globe, inspire wanderlust and the drive to capture those once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Whether you're an angling aficionado or a novice curious about the allure of the line and lure, cast your ear our way for an episode filled with the kind of stories that are best enjoyed like a fine wine—slowly, deeply, and with a smile.Check out Dial The Wild on Facebook and Instagram#dialthewild

New evidence from NASA's Curiosity rover, detailed in the journal Geology, suggests that underground water may have been present in the crater during the latter part of the Hesperian period, 3.7 to 3 billion years ago. This discovery, marked by deformed desert sandstone, hints at a more habitable past and could reshape our search for ancient Martian life.*The Sun's Spectacular Double Solar FlareThe Sun has unleashed its most powerful eruption since 2017 with a double solar flare event, signaling a ramp-up towards solar maximum. The X1.1-class flare, coupled with a series of M-class flares, has sparked vivid auroral displays and heightened space weather activity. This dynamic solar performance, captured by ESA's SMOS and Swarm satellites, underscores the Sun's influence on Earth's magnetosphere and the importance of real-time space weather monitoring.*The SR-71 Blackbird's Alleged Successor: The SR-72Rumors persist of the Pentagon's development of a hypersonic aircraft, the SR-72, potentially succeeding the legendary SR-71 Blackbird. Reports suggest that Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works is behind this classified project, which could reach Mach 6 speeds and revolutionize reconnaissance with its unmanned design. If true, this aircraft could redefine the boundaries of aviation and surveillance technology.*April Night Skies: Alpha Centauri to the Lyrids Meteor ShowerAs autumn's grip tightens, the night skies of April offer a celestial tapestry rich with wonders. From the Southern Cross standing upright to the nearest star system, Alpha Centauri, being prominently on display, stargazers have much to explore. The annual Lyrids meteor shower promises a dazzling show, peaking on April 22-23, while the planets Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, and Venus grace the morning and evening skies with their presence. For more SpaceTime and to support the show, visit our website at https://spacetimewithstuartgary.com where you can access our universal listen link, find show notes, and learn how to become a patron.
