Well, here we are. At the finale of the 10 episode X-Men TAS revival, and obviously it was a homerun, right? Obviously it's the best animated show out right now, right? Obviously it lived up to our expectations and did our versions of the X-Men justice, right? RIGHT?  Not exactly. In some ways, sure. In 1983, Ralph Baksi's Fire and Ice dropped and it tells the story of an evil queen and her son, set on conquering the entire world shortly after the ice age. Against them, stands one man (and help, so clearly not 'just' one man) from a destroyed village who takes it back to the evil frozen empire in this rotoscope styled film.  A little over 40 years later, how does this bad boy stand up to the test of time - and was Teegra's body all natural?? Those are the big questions here.

Our beloved Batman The Animated Series ended in 1998, and a year later, the next version of the character debuted in Batman Beyond!  "Rebirth" is the two parter that kicked off season 1, and we cover it in here - all about the shoes it had to fill coming off of Batman TAS and how, at the same time, it being its own possible classic

This one is a throoowback. Watching this as a kid is a little different than watching it as an adult. As a kid, I saw a dude flying around in a super cool costume and bad guys a plenty trying to shoot him down and that was fun. As an adult, this one is very reminiscent of Iron Man (2008) but with the mob, old school planes, the mob, nazis and a dude flying around in a super cool costume.

The concept of this book is incredibly unique and it has a way of grabbing our interest on that alone. 'Bitch Planet' is the nickname given to a prison planet that was built to house disobedient females, away from Earth, which was controlled entirely by rich males in power. Do you know who Genndy Tartakovsky is? You better. The man has had his hand in many projects you probably loved, but this time, with this series 'Primal', he's outdone himself. What do you get when a T-Rex and a caveman form a bond over shared trauma? Well.. we don't use the word masterpiece loosely, but this series could be in the conversation. OR we could be lying to you and we absolutely hated this show. WE DID A COMIC BOOK FOR FIRST GLANCE AGAIN! A little over the top but we were probably excited. Now that that's out of the way, let's take a look at Crypt of Shadows #1, Marvel's comic book version of Treehouse of Horrors. We get stories centered around Scarlet Witch, Hulk, Deadpool, and Daredevil, with a bunch of other characters and cameos. Of course the themes and faces we see get us to start talking about other properties and what could come in the future.

We're gonna be honest with you here... This is a movie. A movie from 1984. A movie from 1984 where a guy is transformed by barrels of toxic waste into some hulking monster who can sense evildoers and proceeds to break, beat or melt them with his bare hands. He also wears a tutu. The Maxx. What more can be said about this property. If you are not familiar with this comic (or cartoon) and you consider yourself a big comic guy (or gal), that title for you is debatable. Sam Kieth created something so unique, so interesting, so special here that you need to check this out. Not should; need.  Is it a superhero comic? Is it a trip? Is it confusing and charming and disgustingly beautiful? Yes to all of those things. Read this book. Watch the show. They have different endings so it doesn't matter in which order you do that in, but once you're done both?
