Happy Monday! Today, we start off with Michelle Obama's recent scoop on White House living and President Trump's plan to reopen Alcatraz. We celebrate the Kentucky Derby champ before cheering Riley Gaines for exposing a boys‑in‑girls'‑sports fiasco in Maine. Then we dive into Ilhan Omar's eyebrow‑raising “fear white men” comment, gasp at the viral AI photo that turned Trump into the Pope, and enjoy JD Vance and Mike Lee's tongue‑in‑cheek reactions. We continue with Kristen Welker tagging along at Mar‑a‑Lago, where Trump tackles tough questions on due process, tariffs, and border security—then torches the “fake media” and the *Wall Street Journal* for good measure. Meanwhile, Elon Musk reveals DOGE deep‑dives, a mysterious new “Blindsight” gadget, and how he really wants to be remembered—all while CNN tries (and fails) to roast him. The 2024 New York Giants season is one that fans would love to forget—but can't. From front-office blunders to one of the worst records in franchise history, this year was a disaster from top to bottom. And, thanks to Hard Knocks, the embarrassment was put on full display for the world to see.Offseason Moves: Who Came and Who LeftThe writing was on the wall for this Giants team even before the season started. The front office made some controversial decisions that ended up shaping (or sinking) the year:Key Losses:Saquon Barkley (RB) – Signed with the Eagles on a 3-year, $37.75M deal. He then went on to put up 2,000+ rushing yards and help Philly win the Super Bowl. Let that sink in.Xavier McKinney (S) – Walked in free agency, signing with the Packers, weakening an already suspect secondary.Leonard Williams (DL) – Traded to the Seahawks in 2023, but his absence was still felt in 2024.Adoree' Jackson (CB) – The team moved on, leading to even bigger issues in coverage.Sterling Shepard (WR) – A longtime Giant, gone.Key Additions:Brian Burns (EDGE) – Acquired in a trade with the Panthers to bolster the pass rush.Malik Nabers (WR) – Drafted 6th overall, the rookie was one of the lone bright spots with 109 catches for 1,024 yards and 7 TDs.Devin Singletary (RB) – Signed in free agency to replace Barkley but was nowhere near as productive.Drew Lock (QB) – Brought in as a backup option for Daniel Jones.Isaiah McKenzie (WR) – A depth addition at wide receiver. The Saquon Barkley Fallout & ‘Hard Knocks' DisasterWe all knew losing Barkley was bad, but Hard Knocks made it 10x worse. The leaked phone call between GM Joe Schoen and Barkley—where Schoen basically told him to test the market—was a disaster for the franchise. Barkley later admitted that he didn't even know the call was recorded, and once he heard it, he knew his Giants days were over. Fans watched helplessly as Barkley thrived in Philly while the Giants collapsed.Season Recap: Rock BottomFinal Record: 3-14 – The worst in Giants history.Offense: 30th in total yards, 31st in points per game – Not much more needs to be said.Defense: 27th in rushing yards allowed per game (136.2 YPG) – Couldn't stop a nosebleed.Bright Spots (Yes, There Were a Few)Malik Nabers (WR) – The reason for hope, breaking the Giants' rookie receptions record.Tyrone Tracy (RB) – A surprise contributor with 839 rushing yards, 5 TDs.Dexter Lawrence (DL) – Still a force, leading the team with 9 sacks.Looking Ahead: Rebuilding from Rock BottomThe New York Giants head into the 2025 NFL offseason with a 3-14 record, the third overall pick in the draft, and a desperate need to turn things around. With Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen returning, all eyes are on how they'll reshape the roster after a disastrous season.2025 NFL Draft StrategyHolding the No. 3 overall pick, the Giants have several directions they could go. While the quarterback position remains a huge question mark, the Giants must also address offensive line struggles, a depleted secondary, and a lack of depth at wide receiver. Can they make the right moves, or will this franchise remain stuck in a cycle of mediocrity? We're breaking it all down on ‘We Stomped You Out'—don't miss it!
"It's my belief that the incoming administration has chosen USAID...to curb-stomp it to death as a way to send a message to the rest of the federal bureaucracy." -- Michael SchifferAs Washington DC is in turmoil over the drastic changes to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Jim and Ray welcome its former Asia Bureau Assistant Administrator Michael Schiffer to explain what exactly USAID does and the potential impacts of these changes.Michael argues that USAID is not just a charity organization but plays a crucial role in supporting U.S. foreign policy. Established in 1961 during the height of the Cold War, he explains that USAID has long been considered essential for America's national security.Against charges that USAID's budget lacks oversight, Michael describes the agency's bipartisan congressional oversight process. He also explains how the once fully independent agency was legislatively rolled into the State Department in the late 1990s, though still with some degree of operational autonomy. While agreeing that a thoughtful review of the USAID structure and budget is called for, he contends that the current pause in USAID funding creates a vacuum for other nations–particularly China–to exploit by moving quickly to backfill the gaps in support left by American absence. This allows Beijing to say that America is an unreliable partner.Follow Michael Schiffer at his page at Justsecurity. Our podcast is produced by IEJ Media, sharing news that matters on statecraft & instruments of national power.Sponsored by BowerGroupAsia, a strategic advisory firm that specializes in the Indo-Pacific.

**We Stomped You Out: S7 E3 - A Brief Break from Groundhog Day** In this week's episode of **We Stomped You Out**, Farace and Tim are back, but—for once—things aren't completely miserable. The Giants pulled off a win in Cleveland, and Tim's "Good, Bad, and Ugly" segment finally has some "good" to talk about. Is Daniel Jones...*playing well*? It's hard to believe, but he actually showed some life out there. And rookie Malik Nabers? He's getting all the attention and making big plays. Who knew being a Giants fan could be *fun* for a change? The defense also got in on the action with a sack-fest, reminding us that they do, in fact, know how to play football. It's almost like we took a week off from *Groundhog Day*. But let's not get ahead of ourselves—next up is the Cowboys in Week 4. And, well, it's the Cowboys, so we'll see how long the feel-good vibes last. Join Farace and Tim as they cautiously celebrate this rare moment of Giants success, and don't worry, they'll be back to sarcastically analyzing every step of the journey soon enough. #NYGiants #Giants #WSYO #PopCulturePros

Hour 1 THE DRIVE 09-23-24 Reaction Monday!
**We Stomped You Out: S7 E2 - Still Stuck in Groundhog Day** In Episode 2 of **We Stomped You Out**, Farace and Tim return, and boy, do they have some thoughts about the Giants' Week 2 loss to the Commanders. Tim's "Good, Bad, and Ugly" segment is back, but don't expect much "good"—it's more of a formality at this point. Somehow, the Giants became the first team in NFL history to score three touchdowns, allow zero, and *still* lose the game. Only this team could pull that off! As if that wasn't enough, Brian Daboll and the coaching staff still weren't prepared in the kicking department. After weeks of juggling kickers, they've now signed Greg Joseph. Hopefully, he knows which way the wind blows, unlike the last guy. But, hey, at least Malik Nabers showed some promise. He's the lone bright spot in what feels like another rerun of *Groundhog Day*. The guys will preview the Week 3 matchup against the Browns, and they'll even touch on Eli Manning's first time on the Hall of Fame ballot. Knowing this team, we'll probably still be talking about how they can't find a kicker by then. Join Farace and Tim as they continue to break down what it means to be a Giants fan in 2024—spoiler alert, it's miserable. If *Groundhog Day* had a sequel, it'd be about this season.
**We Stomped You Out - Season 7, Episode 1 Preview** Welcome back, Giants fans, to what feels like Season 700 of **We Stomped You Out**, where hope dies quicker than a two-minute drill. Farace and Tim are back to dissect a Week 1 performance so painful, it's made *Groundhog Day* look like a feel-good rom-com. The Giants somehow managed to make Sam Darnold look like Peyton Manning, which really says it all. Tim's usual “Good, Bad, and Ugly” segment has been scrapped this week because, let's be honest, there was nothing “good” or “bad” about the Giants' performance. It was just straight-up ugly—like, “cover-your-eyes” ugly. The Giants didn't just lose; they were humiliated 28-6 at home against the Vikings. Play-calling was uninspired, defense looked confused, and even Lawrence Taylor is taking potshots at the team from the safety of his retirement. But hey, Brian Daboll's not giving up! He's rolling with Daniel Jones into Week 2 against the Commanders, because...what other choice does he have? The guys will break down this crucial matchup in what can only be described as a must-win if you want to avoid full-blown fan mutiny. Expect a lot of sarcasm, eye-rolling, and predictions that probably won't come true. Because being a Giants fan right now is like being stuck in *Groundhog Day*—except instead of Bill Murray learning piano, we get to watch this team make the same mistakes over and over. So grab a drink, tune in, and laugh through the pain with Farace and Tim. #WSYO #Giants #WeStompedYouOut

PIGEON HUNTING: ORLANDO CITY STOMPED ON NASHVILLE | DAGUR DAN 2026| NEW YORK CITY IS NEXT!
Is there anything better than a fresh episode of the Real Life podcast to help you close out your week? Absolutely not. This Thursday, the squad discussed phone etiquette, the Oilers' horrific loss to the Stars, and whatever nonsense came to mind.Starting off the Thursday episode of Real Life, the guys launched into a lively debate about whether or not they're likely to answer their phone if you call. It's always a surprise to see where these discussions lead, and this time, it led to a revelation-there are a few guys on the podcast who will not answer a phone call if it comes in past business hours.Somehow, talking about phone calls led to a recap of Wanye and Jay's trip to Moose Jaw. Not only did they go to watch the Warriors win a couple of playoff games, but they also went to the casino to play some Blackjack, which led to a passionate conversation about their approach to the tables.Turning the podcast back to the Oilers, the guys discussed last night's debacle in Dallas. That game was supposed to be a measuring stick night for Edmonton, but what ended up happening was that they got demolished by a team that was better in every way. Needless to say, that loss was one of the worst the team has had in some time, and it was incredibly demoralizing to watch. Finally, the guys wrapped up the Thursday episode of Real Life with a collection of topics, including the Oakland A's moving to Sacramento, what everyone would do if they won the lottery, buying ice at McDonald's, and why the Oilers changed the way they run the 50/50. Did the boys stick to any of those topics for more than a minute? They did not.
