Six Flags Great America is getting a brand-new family area called Camp Timber Trail, anchored by a Vekoma family suspended coaster that's essentially a clone of Phoenix at Deno's Wonderwheel Park. The area has nine attractions total, mixing new builds with clever re-themes of park classics. Mike and EB break down why these smaller, heavily-themed family coasters might matter more for a park's long-term health than another record-breaking mega-coaster. Then it's time for Quick Hits: Cedar Point's season-long Fast Lane add-on is going for a jaw-dropping $1,999 after the park closed last year's loophole of buying a cheaper Fast Lane at a different Six Flags park. Mike and EB do the actual math on how many visits it takes before that price tag makes any sense at all. Kings Dominion is running its classic dark ride Flight of Fear with the lights on every night in August, giving longtime fans a reason to ride a coaster they've been on a hundred times before. And in the biggest tease of the week, newly surfaced test footage...along with a mysterious social media post.... all but confirms that RMC's long-rumored Wild Moose coaster — a compact, maneuver-packed ride built entirely around those beloved pre-lift RMC moments — is headed to Kentucky Kingdom. He shares how small details, from preparing a meeting room before participants arrive to creating memorable first-day experiences for new employees, communicate respect and care long before any formal training begins. Throughout the conversation, Ryan emphasizes that hospitality is demonstrated through preparation rather than good intentions. Organizations often focus on serving external guests while overlooking the everyday moments that shape the employee experience. By becoming more intentional behind the scenes, leaders create cultures where exceptional hospitality naturally extends to every guest interaction. Quicksand “When you say you're busy, that's quicksand.” Ryan uses the idea of quicksand as a metaphor for the beliefs and phrases that quietly trap leaders. Labels like "we're too busy," "communication is our problem," or "there's too much drama" become excuses that prevent organizations from identifying the real issues underneath. Instead of accepting broad statements, leaders should dig deeper to understand what is actually creating friction. He encourages leaders to recognize the "stick" that helps them escape quicksand by replacing assumptions with curiosity, specificity, and action. Yes, we know. It's been a while. (You try having any free time with a 3 month old puppy.) Centrally located along the I-95 corridor between Richmond and Fredericksburg, Kings Dominion amusement park is about to open for its 50th anniversary season. And with it, a new roller coaster. Brad Kutner was among the first to take a ride.
