"At times, I try to show these guys some of my film so I can coach off of that. A lot of times, they think I'm talking just to talk but I try to show them that I lived it and I've done everything that I'm saying, which a lot I've learned from previous coaches. I'm just giving back that same knowledge that was once given to me and I'm just trying to give that back."
On the holiday edition of Jon & Jim, we look back on the Xander Bogaerts trade, catch up with Donnel Pumphrey and re-live the best (and the worst) of Trainwreck radio.

We are right in the middle of the Philadelphia Eagles preseason and with only a couple more preseason games left to play, we'll be finding out soon enough which players make the team, and which players get cut. To get into this Eagles preseason and roster, we brought Benjamin Solak, Deputy Editor and writer at BleedingGreenNation.com and draft analyst at The Draft Network, on the show this week to get into a bunch of storylines Eagles fans are following. It's a great interview, as always, with Ben!But first, on the Brief News and Views segment:1. Phillies Talk: home vs. the road; and can they still make the postseason? (5:45)2. A look at Temple Football this coming season. (22:15)3. Jerry Jones and the National Anthem. (28:30)4. The Sixers schedule for the 2018-2019 season. (34:35)Then we get into our Up or Down segment where we briefly analyze Philly sports figures to determine if their needle is moving up or down. (41:00)What we're throwing down on the Table this week is an amazing and in-depth interview with Benjamin Solak from Bleeding Green Nation. The question we're all asking is; can the Eagles repeat as Super Bowl Champions? While not impossible, it is incredibly improbably for many NFL teams to accomplish this feat – but we get into it with Ben. Also, we get into the running back situation with Wendell Smallwood, Josh Adams, Donnel Pumphrey and who that 4th running back might be coming out of camp. How will the wide receiver injuries to Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor affect the offense? Will linebacker Corey Nelson have a significant role to play this season? The guys also got into Carson Wentz's progression over the past few weeks. Ben then gave us some surprise cuts from the Eagles roster to close us out. Plus much more Eagles talk during the interview! (48:40)

Who will lead the position in carries and touches? What will Darren Sproles's role be in his final NFL season? In the four-man race for the 4th RB spot will Matt Jones, Wendell Smallwood, Josh Adams, or Donnel Pumphrey come out on top? All that and more on another installment of the Locked on Eagles podcast "Positional Preview" edition! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Hello again everybody, and welcome back to http://SportsKrunch.com/ with DKrom, I’m your host David Kromelow. Tonight, we continue our 2017 NFL team preview series with a look at the Philadelphia Eagles. And to help us analyze the prospects for the Eagles this season is our good friend Turron Davenport, who covers the team for USA Today’s “The Eagles Wire” and CSN Philly. Turron’s Twitter handle: @TDavenport_NFL 1. I analyzed the Eagles 2017 draft class with a colleague of yours, Emory Hunt on a previous episode, but we didn’t get a chance to take a deeper dive into their day three picks, which impressed me almost as much as their day 1-2 picks. Adam Caplan reported they are VERY high on Mack Hollins, the North Carolina WR who they selected at 118 overall. They think he can eventually grow into a major contributor on offense? Do you have similar expectations for Hollins? 2. How much of Donnel Pumphrey can we expect to see this season? 3. With their final pick in the draft, the
Jeremy and Matt are back for the preview the San Diego State Aztecs who are the two-time defending conference champions. The Aztecs do lose a lot of talen on both sides of the ball including NCAA's all-time leading rusher in Donnel Pumphrey. With the West division still not great San Diego State has a good shot at winning the division again this season. Their schedule is a bit tougher so a shot at a New Year's Six bowl game could be within reach as they play Boise State, Stanford, Arizona State and a potentially decent team in Northern Illinois. The big question for the Aztecs is how much better can the passing game be? WAYS TO SUPPORT THE SHOW. Help us out by getting a FREE 14-day trial to Texture.
