There was breaking news during hour 3 of the 94 WIP Midday Show as free agent SS Bo Bichette signed with the New York Mets. It was a major loss for the Phillies as they were the favorites to sign Bichette and had been linked to him for some time. Immediate reaction ensued. The Phillies are not willing to spend as much money per year on players as other teams are. Joe Giglio says that the Phillies should probably consider rethinking how they offer contracts to players in the future and change up how they do things.
