After a slow start in their Week 4 game against the San Francisco 49ers, the Seahawks rallied late in the second quarter to get a touchdown and tie the game going into halftime. Thanks to some errant throws by Trey Lance to start the second half as well as adjustments on defense, Seattle was able to add two more touchdowns in the third quarter. We also had a chance to see Russell Wilson make an incredible escape in the backfield before drilling the ball to Freddie Swain in the back of the end zone. We are celebrating the official end of the offseason! Next week we'll be previewing the first Seahawks game of the 2021 season when they take on the Colts. However, this week, we are running down the Seahawks roster after Pete Carroll and John Schneider made their cuts down to 53. There were some interesting choices on offense as Seattle kept three quarterbacks, but only decided to hold onto four wide receivers. We also look at the practice squad and that's where so many of the receivers ended up. On defense, there is a lot of optimism around the defensive line, but the team could still use some veteran help on the interior. The Seahawks recognize that they still need help at cornerback because they continued to add to the group this week after the cuts. Sidney Jones was brought it to compete at corner. Could he end up taking over for Tre Flowers who earned his starting spot to kick off the season? In the second half of the show, we talk about the 49ers quarterback situation and contrast it with what's going on in New England. We also follow up on a conversation from the previous show and learn from a listener how Abe Lincoln used to like to pick fights. If you're outside the Seattle area and struggle to find ways to watch the games, several listeners chime in with their different strategies for watching the Seahawks. Do better call outs go to Adam's neighbor for rejecting his fantasy football advice and to Scott Zolak for wanting Cam Newton to essentially get off his lawn. Better at life honors go to the suckers who bought Adam's old vehicle and to Blitz for helping to raise money for shoes for kids. The Seattle Seahawks announced their cuts down to the 53-man roster on Tuesday. The only undrafted free agent from 2021 to make the team was tackle Jake Curhan. It sounds close based on some of his comments. Finally, D.J. Reed was told that he's going to be starting the year at the left cornerback spot and he said Tre Flowers is lined up on the opposite side. In late March, Indonesia faced two terror attacks in the space of a week, with a husband and wife conducting a suicide bombing against a cathedral in Makassar, and a woman attacking Indonesian police headquarters carrying an Airsoft gun. Indonesian police described the perpetrators of both attacks as supporters of the Islamic State or ISIS – the group’s supporters have been responsible for a string of attacks in Indonesia over the past five years, albeit mostly causing few fatalities, including attacks in Indonesia’s two main cities Jakarta and Surabaya in 2016 and 2018. What do these recent attacks tell us about the nature of the terrorist threat in Indonesia, and how is this threat changing? Are ISIS supporters the main threat to Indonesian security or are longer-established organisations such as Jemaah Islamiyah emerging anew? Why have terrorist attacks in Indonesia persisted despite the imprisonment of hundreds of terrorist perpetrators? And how well have Indonesian authorities responded to the threat of terrorism and extremism. In this week’s Talking Indonesia podcast, Dr Dave McRae discusses these issues with Sidney Jones , director of the Jakarta-based Institute for the Policy Analysis of Conflict or IPAC, a world leading expert on jihadi terrorism in Southeast Asia. The Talking Indonesia podcast is co-hosted by Dr Annisa Beta from the University of Melbourne’s School of Culture and Communication, Dr Dave McRae from the University of Melbourne’s Asia Institute, Dr Jemma Purdey from Monash University, and Dr Charlotte Setijadi from the Singapore Management University. The Philadelphia Eagles make the playoffs and win the NFC East after beating the New York Giants by a score of 34-17. It was close as the game was tied 17-17 heading into the fourth quarter. The Eagles had players drop like flies throughout the game as they lost Miles Sanders, Brandon Brooks, and Avonte Maddox. Brandon Graham left for the locker room and eventually returned. Everyone stepped up in their place. Boston Scott had 138 yards from scrimmage and scored three touchdowns. Carson Wentz was AWESOME and recorded 4,000 yards on the season. That's without having one receiver catch for over 500 yards individually. Doug Pederson, Jim Schwartz, and even Mike Groh deserve a ton of credit for this one. Schwartz did a great job of holding Saquon Barkley to nothing, until he had a 68-yard touchdown run to tie the game, but he was quiet for the most part. Dallas Goedert, Greg Ward, Deontay Burnett, Malcolm Jenkins, Fletcher Cox, Cre'von Leblanc, Sidney Jones, and all of the guys really played inspired football with a purpose. Now, we await to see who the Eagles will host in the first round of the playoffs! The Philadelphia Sixers lose to the Miami Heat in overtime and experience a whacky turn of events. They had this game and let it slip. Tobias Harris missed a dunk to solidify the win and Joel Embiid had a costly turnover off the rebound which led to Tyler Herro knocking down a three-pointer to take the lead with just under seven seconds remaining. Josh Richardson had a chance to tie the game with two free throws and he missed the first. He then had to miss the second on purpose which led to a Ben Simmons tip in to tie it. Embiid scored 35 points and had a couple clutch threes down the stretch. He was the only reason why the Sixers had a chance to leave victorious. Simmons did great defensively, but his offense still hurts the team specifically with the zone. He did a great job on Jimmy Butler on the d side of things. Brett Brown went to Trey Burke to help break down that zone. Al Horford was awful as he recorded a -25 rating. Harris had a wide open look to win the game from behind the arc at the end of overtime and he missed.

The Philadelphia Eagles will travel up north to take on the New York Giants and with a win, they will be NFC East champions. Zach Ertz was ruled out with broken ribs, but Jordan Howard will make his way back into the lineup. Doug Pederson is going to have to be creative with Miles Sanders, Jordan Howard, Greg Ward, and Dallas Goedert. Daniel Jones has fumbling issues so the d line will need to create havoc. I am concerned about the corner backs as it might be Sidney Jones and Rasul Douglas if Jalen Mills is not able to go. He is listed as questionable. The Eagles need to stop Saquon Barkley and force Daniel Jones to beat them. The Philadelphia Sixers lose to the Orlando Magic after one of the biggest emotional wins of the season on Christmas Day. Is this really a surprise? I saw it coming a mile away. It is very frustrating that they don't feel the need to work hard against bad opponents, but I also don't think your views should change on what this team is. They can clearly compete with the top dogs when they have the right mindset. I need more out of Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, Al Horford, Josh Richardson, and the bench! Markelle Fultz scored 13 points on this former squad... I can't stand even looking at him.

The Philadelphia Eagles take down the Dallas Cowboys by a score of 17-9. What a magnificent game by Carson Wentz, Miles Sanders, and Dallas Goedert! Oh by the way, Jim Schwartz dialed up an amazing game plan defensively. The defense held the Cowboys out of the end zone all game only allowing three field goals. Sidney Jones of all people made the game saving play with 1:22 to go breaking up a potential game-tying touchdown. Ezekiel Elliot could not get anything going what-so-ever. Doug Pederson had some VERY questionable play calls throughout this one, but there is no denying he has this team playing well in December every year. If the Eagles beat the Giants next week, they are hosting a playoff game. I think we saw in this game how powerful a game at the Linc can truly be.

INSTANT REACTION: The Eagles Get Embarrassed by the Vikings 38-20...

The Philadelphia Eagles get embarrassed by the Minnesota Vikings 38-20. The defensive backs were abused all night long. Rasul Douglas, Sidney Jones, and Craig James were useless. Stefon Diggs, Kirk Cousins, and Adam Thielen had a field day against this defense. The Eagles did a reasonable job stopping Dalvin Cook. It didn't help that Doug Pederson had arguably his worst game as a coach. He tried a fake field goal at the end of the first half and decided to have Jake Elliot throw the ball instead of getting three points. Carson Wentz struggled at times, but also made good plays. He has no help with the skill players. It's bad when their best receiving weapon is Miles Sanders.

Eagles Battle HARD, But Fall to the Falcons 24-20!

The Eagles lost a legit battle in Atlanta by a score of 24-20. It was another slow start for Carson Wentz and this offense as they failed to score points in the first quarter once again. The players were dropping like flies. Desean Jackson, Dallas Goedert, Alshon Jeffery, Corey Clement, Tim Jernigan all left the game and did not return. Jason Kelce, Carson Wentz, Sidney Jones, Nelson Agholor, and others went into the tent and missed plays. Jim Schwartz brought a ton of pressure on Matt Ryan which changed the game, until it didn't. After the Eagles took a 20-17 lead thanks to Carson Wentz making insane plays, Matt Ryan realized the blitz and hit Julio Jones on a screen which went to the house. The Falcons never looked back. This was a tough loss, but I am not discouraged!
