Their conversation touches on a multitude of topics including how customer expectations continually rise due to leading brands, how organizations need to balance future planning with current opportunities, and the importance of strong leadership between agencies and internal teams.Shama Hyder kicks off the conversation by sharing the exciting news of Zen Media's acquisition of Sevans PR, marking a significant expansion on the West Coast. As a seasoned agency leader, Shama highlights the importance of strong leadership and cohesive teamwork between agencies and internal teams. She advocates for creating unique, co-created experiences that resonate with clients seeking innovative solutions. With current customer expectations skyrocketing, Tom & Shama emphasize that all brands need to step it up, regardless of the industry they're operating in. It doesn't matter if your direct competitors are behind you because leading brands such as Apple, Amazon, and Uber are the ones setting the standards. Shama views herself as a “now-ist” and explains that organizations are too often focused on innovations years away when they should be implementing today's technology to beat their competitors. She shares her insights on harnessing AI to streamline workflows, but only after laying a solid foundation.—Guest Quote"Customer confidence is something that in the past was given, and then you had to lose it. Send us a textOn this episode of Evolving Humans, Julia Marie talks to a Wisconsin farmer about the six minutes he spent in Eternity, and how it changed his life. The interview covers Philip Hasheider's near-death experience (NDE) and the profound impact it had on his life. He describes in vivid detail his experience of entering another dimension, witnessing the "source of all creation", and the challenges he faced in readjusting to the physical world after being resuscitated. The interview explores how this transformative experience shaped Hasheider's perspective and his desire to share his story. His NDE occurred while he was at a fitness center, and he attributes his survival to being in the right place at the right time with immediate medical attention available. Hasheider had a profound NDE where he experienced a "dimension" of pure love, acceptance, and infinite knowledge, which he struggled to put into human words. He witnessed a "golden sphere" that he believes was the "source of all creation" and saw an infinite number of universes and dimensions connected to it. Hasheider had difficulty readjusting to the physical world after his NDE, feeling a "stark contrast" to the higher-dimensional experience he had. The experience has left a lasting impact on Hyder, with the memories and feelings of the NDE remaining vivid and ever-present in his daily life. Notable Quote:"I saw this gigantic golden yellow pulsing sphere. It would be like if you packed 10 million suns into a round globe. It was that brilliant. But not only was that brilliant, it was sending out these waves of energy that were welcoming. It was pure love, it was truth, it was knowledge."Themes and TrendsThe nature of reality and the existence of higher dimensions or planes of existence. The transformative power of near-death experiences and their lasting impact on individuals. The interconnectedness of life events and the concept of "threads" or "karma" guiding one's path. Please tune in to this episode of The Building BITE Podcast, as we hear from industry experts about key topics to help you be successful. The Building BITE hosts Chris Epps, LEED AP and Mike Diercksen, CRIS, welcome Hyder Naqvi, CEO at Injala, and Matthew Bogobowicz, Product Manager at Injala. We begin our episode discussing how both Hyder and Matthew both found their way into the insurance business, acquiring the necessary experience to ultimately launch a product such as Injala. Specifically for Hyder, combining a passion for technology with an early family introduction to the insurance industry allowed him to think critically about the challenges we face, and look to provide a solution through the Injala offerings. Hyder and Matthew walk us through these opportunities to expand how we manage our industry, leaving us with three important action items. 1. Have a Formal Risk Management Process In Place: While it can appear daunting, it is imperative to have a formal risk management process in place. Regardless of the size of your company, look to utilize the expertise of your strategic partners such as your broker and trusted vendor partners. Not everyone is going to be able to employ a full-time Risk Manager, but working alongside these partners who specialize in risk management will be vital to your success. 2. Be Driven by Outcomes: Creating a standard process has long been an effective method of generating measured and desirable outcomes. With that in mind, it is important not to lose sight of the “why” behind those processes. It can be easy to fall into a false sense of security within these internal systems, so think critically to make sure you are not just checking boxes as you go. Ask yourself, am I achieving the desired outcome through this process? If the answer is no, it is time to revisit your thinking on the topic. 3. Incorporate Technology: We all use technology to some extent; however, you should not allow yourself to become complacent. Technology is always pushing the boundaries of what is possible, and likewise, you should look to engage with your technology partners to continuously ask what else you can be doing. This dialogue will not only sharpen your ability to think critically of how to maximize your internal systems but can strengthen the partnership with your technology vendors. To learn more about how you can better prepare your firm for the opportunities ahead, listen to our full podcast episode with Hyder and Matthew on “Solving Network Organization, Advancing Beyond Excel Spreadsheets.”

IT'S THANKSGIVING WEEK! Josh and Dante are back this week to recap a good weekend as Ravens fans, but before doing that, the boys have to show love to Orioles manager Brandon Hyde for winning the 2023 AL Manager of the Year award. There's no other manager in the MLB that's more deserving than Hyde, and the boys are fired up for Hyder as well as the future of the organization under he and Mike Elias' leadership. Moving on to this week of football, the Ravens get a big win on Thursday Night Football over the Bengals 34-20. Mark Andrews and Joe Burrow unfortunately suffer season ending injuries in the first half, but the Ravens answered the bell and responded with a great second quarter, and dominant second half. Odell Beckham was out there making plays on his was to a 100+ receiving yard day, as well as Nelson Agholor and Rashod Bateman doing their thing and finding the endzone on the way to the win. Looking ahead to week 12, the Ravens go into Los Angeles to play the Chargers on Sunday Night Football. The Chargers are coming off a three point loss in Green Bay, in which they lost star edge rusher Joey Bosa to an injury, and head coach Brandon Staley is getting snarky with reporters about defensive play calling duties. Josh gives his thoughts on this game, and Dante dives into the numbers of each unit in this matchup. Lastly, both of the fellas give their keys to victory for the Ravens to come back home with win number 9 on the year. College football rivalry week is HERE, and the boys are giving their favorite rivalries and best games to look out for this weekend, as well as their thoughts on the three game suspension for Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh. Lastly, Dante gives his NFL week 12 best bets and sends you all into a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. HAPPY THANKSGIVING YALL!

Kale Hyder works in an investment bank. In this interview, we discuss how his life 7 years ago changed on a dime: a rare spinal inflammation led an aspiring high school basketball player to have to deal with becoming quadriplegic. We talk about the physical and mental rehabilitation, and how, with the help of others, he's found direction, purpose and happiness. - - - - Think about what you're going to be doing next week. Are you working or studying? Will you be engaging in hobbies? Do you have any household chores that need completing? What social plans do you have? We all plan for the future and accept it as a given, but that's not always the case. For Kale Hyder, all of his future plans were wiped away overnight. One week he was at high school, studying, playing basketball & planning for his future, the next, he was unable to move. Panic and disbelief led to a hospital visit and tests and a diagnosis: transverse myelitis. Spinal inflammation. And that was it, Kale was paralysed. Life changed. Forever. Cases like Kyle's are rare, and the causes aren't properly understood, but it results in irreparable damage to nerves in the body's communication highway. The damage Kale was left with was made worse by where the inflammation was in his body. Kale's spinal cord swelled at the base of his neck, and he became a quadriplegic, he could no longer move any of his limbs. In this fascinating discussion, we talk about the long process of treatment and rehabilitation, learning to redevelop basic skills, how the body adapts and reconfigures itself, and the need for mechanical aids to perform functions previously taken for granted. Kale also opens up about depression, frustration and resignation. It's a story about acceptance and finding new paths. It's a story of realisation and insight. Happiness and fulfilment found in unexpected places. It is uplifting to hear such wisdom from someone who's had to face the worst that life has to offer. It is a story that ends up with Bitcoin, but it is not a Bitcoin story.
“When we made that drive home, we got home, we got in the driveway.
