For most of my career, I had the time and energy to do everything myself. All of the recording, editing, graphics, online promotion. I did it all. It was exhausting. It was also all before I got married and had kids. I came to realize I needed help over the past ten years. So I put out a call to folks online. Miranda Nelson offered to help me with graphics. Three years later, she now does nearly all the graphics for my music and all of my podcasts. So let me start by saying. Thank you Miranda for all your help and welcome to the pub. How did you find my music and podcasts? What inspired you to want to do the thankless job of graphic design for a nobody musician and podcaster? FOUND MUSIC AND PODCASTS & WHY How did you get into Celtic culture and music? And how long have you been a geek? HOW So this is largely a Christmas podcast. Can you tell me a fun special Christmas moment in your life? Something that made you smile? SMILE And finally, do you have any Christmas song requests that you’d like to hear? Thank you so much Miranda. It’s great chatting with you. In addition to the graphics she does for my podcast, Miranda has an online store at mirandanelsondesigns.com. “Okay, but our contact center is getting the job done as we are. Why should we consider migrating it to the cloud?” It’s a fair question. Cloud migration requires a certain level of skill and expertise that a lot of companies simply don’t have. But when you find a company that does? It will take your customer experience to the next level. How? So glad you asked. Michael Ramsey, VP of Product Management for Customer Workflow Products at ServiceNow, was a guest on this episode of the That’s Genius! podcast. He talked through: How customer service/experience has changed in the last 10 years The benefits of moving your customer contact center to the cloud The need to balance empathy with advancement when it comes to AI Listen to this and all our other That’s Genius! episodes with Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or our website.

Does it lead to meaningful benefits above and beyond practice without video? Is Videotaping Yourself Worth the Time and Trouble? And If Yes, How So? (Part 2 of 2)

On Episode #15 of “CAN YOU HEAR ME, LONG BEACH?” It was just six years ago that the Cambodia Town Film Festival was a fledgling event struggling to get films to show. Today, it's one of the cultural highlights of the year in Long Beach and beyond. We spoke with festival co-founders praCh Ly and Caylee So. praCh Ly has been described as the first Cambodian hip hop star, his album "Dalama" went No. 1 in Cambodia, 20 years ago. He's not only a founder of the festival but a producer on "In the Life of Music," the feature-length film that opens the festival and that is Cambodia's official entry for Academy Award consideration. As if that wasn't enough, on Saturday, praCh will be performing "Dalama" in its entirety, with help from lots of friends. Prach spoke with Sarah Bennett about the festival and about getting back on stage, perhaps for the last time. Besides being a co-founder of the Cambodia Town Film Festival, Cayle is the co-writer, co-director and co-producer of “In the Life of Music.” She has had a circuitous journey to her craft, one that included two stints in Iraq as a member of the U.S. military. She spoike with Steve Lowery about the painful moment she told her parents she was joining the military, as well as what responsibilities Cambodian artists have and don’t have when it comes to producing work about the genocide. She also talks about, perhaps, her most amazing accomplishment, giving birth to, and raising, two children while producing, directing and writing a full-length feature movie. Not surprisingly, Caylee was wearing a Wonder Woman T-shirt while being interviewed. 1:06 PraCh Ly talks about his journey to being a No. 1 Cambodian hip hop artist 31:06 Ly shifting from music to film and starting the Cambodia Town Film Festival 47:24 Caylee So talks about making “In the Life of Music”, and her journey to get there 1:01:37 How So went from the armed forces into filmmaking 1:15:48 So’s experience being directed by her dramatic 2-year-old
Yep. We went there. Want to know why? How? So do a lot of others. We start off with national news about mass shootings that happened over the past weekend, then we dig in to "Put some stank on it". And after the break , we try to switch gears, but Aaron brings us right back around , so we kick the can around a bit, and call it a show. Enjoy.

Could a brief testimony radically change your perspective of yourself?? We hear a message from Zig Ziglar on how our paradigm might shift if we got a...special call...to begin our day. A call from someone we respected that testified to our value and worth. From the message I posted this question, "If 1) God undeniably appeared to you and simply informed you...you were currently functioning at about 1/4 the capacity and ability He had placed within you, then 2) you took an IQ test and it scored you beyond genius level, and then 3) three different people you highly respected asked you to join a high level mastermind with them (at no cost, they just wanted you to be involved with them...would you feel any different about yourself? How?" So many different responses we got, not all what you would expect. Tom Ziglar joined me to talk through the comments. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Please help us keep bible study company free by supporting us: http://bit.ly/2RL9zT You have heard it said: “Obedience is better than sacrifice” What is obedience to God? We were created in Gen 2 for the purpose of serving God. Our worship and ministry are to HIM ALONE. Just like Adam and Eve. He then put them in His garden. This garden contains His rules and His boundaries. He gave us free will. True love always is about choosing to love or not. God considers those who obey His Word…those who love Him. (John 14:15) Look at your own children. When they obey what you say and the boundaries you set for them, we swell with pride and want to do all we can to help them to achieve. But Adam and Eve chose not to obey the Word of God. We are Adam and Eve. We/They decided they would live their own life apart from dependence on God. This caused sin to enter the world and sin creates death and SEPARATION FROM GOD. Their "sin" affected billions of people and the entire Creation. Can we say that the original sin was disobedience to the Word of God? What hope do we have if they died because of their disobedience to the Word of God? They were separated from God...dead spiritually. We have a clue in John 3 that Christ said we must be born again. How? So this is our study and podcast. There are so many nuggets of biblical truth to help us obey. God answered a question we had of whether we as nonprofessionals would He speak to us? YES! Proverbs 1 says He is shouting to the world, yet we won't have the ability to hear Him if we are in the mindset of disobedience to God aka sin. Do we want to take that risk the only life we have to live to turn from the One Who created us? NO! Why study the Bible? We are all called to be disciples of Christ if we are born again and have accepted His sacrifice for our sin then then we are born new in our spirit and now can understand the Word of God. Christ is the Word of God. (John 1). As untrained professionals, how do we approach the Word of God to learn His ways? (Heb 3:10) The disciples were not trained bible teachers. So what was different about them? What can we learn from their lives and why did Christ's focus on them? With the help of the Holy Spirit, they obeyed His Word. (John 14:15) We can too. We need to change our approach from gaining knowledge ABOUT God to OBEDIENCE to God. Join us for Podcast for Pewsitters Bible Study Step 1 Obey God vs Gain Knowledge. Come and join Ric and Mary Joyner for our first weekly series on Bible study of studying the bible to obey God not just gain knowledge about God.
