POPULARITY
OH my word. I LOVE this conversation - and it's such a personal one to share with you all. Hope you love it and let us know your thoughts, ideas or reflections. Janet Beckers is an extraordinary, award-winning business leader and author, with an amazing history of accomplishments from surf life-saving to speaking on big stages and helping online business owners thrive - but we didn't cover those things. I asked Janet to share with us what she and her family do at the end of every year - to celebrate the year and step into the next, with creativity and intention. We unpacked some of the really important lessons that we can learn from taking a little time for a process like this. It's so valuable. It's fun, it's creative, but also really important. We explored a few of our favourite questions - for self and others - such as “When was the last time you did something for the first time?” We discussed the value of asking “What are you proud of?” and “What are you looking forward to?” And some challenging questions for self, such as, “have you ever used gratitude to prevent you from being truly honest with yourself? What else do you need to acknowledge?” Taking some time at the end of a year, a season of growth or challenge, a birthday - any potential turning point - to purposefully reflect and pull out the learning and acknowledgements, sets you up for a more purposeful, intentional and successful ‘next season' or next year. Enjoy - and take some time out for you and your future. Woowoo alert! This week, on a special 8-minute episode of Romance Your Tribe Podcast, I teach you the technique I use to connect on an energetic level with the potential client on a sales call. If you've followed the special podcast mini-series on mastering sales calls, I've shared in the last few weeks, you'll know how to prepare and run a fun, profitable and classy sales call. But it will all be sabotaged if energetically, the other person can feel you are not completely connected with them. They feel a lack of trust but not really know why. Here's how to fix that. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Controversial opinion: Sales calls can be fun (for everyone). If sales calls make you feel stressed out and any of these scenarios sounds like you: You feel like you are being manipulative and pushy Or...You are prepped for rejection (and let's face it, you often are) Or... You give heaps of free advice. They are grateful and don't buy Or... You go off track and it feels hard to get around to making a sale Then today's episode of Romance Your Tribe Podcast is for you. I share my really simple 4 part framework to run a focused and fun sales call that converts classily and profitably. It is actually a really positive experience for both you and your potential client. This is part 2 in the Sales Call Podcast Mini-Series. I talk about … The most common mistakes you may be making on sales calls The 3 things you must do BEFORE a sales call How to position yourself as the trusted leader in the first 60 seconds The 4 part framework that makes sales calls simple and actually enjoyable A scarecited challenge so you can take action this week. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
If the thought of doing sales calls makes you feel stressed, sleazy and primed for rejection then you are going to love today's episode of Romance Your Tribe Podcast. I have a really low-key, relaxed way of doing sales calls which my clients also master quickly. There's no need for memorising scripts, hard sell tactics and icky manipulation. That's because 90% of the success of a sales call comes from implementing 3 things BEFORE you even invite a potential client to hop on the phone (or Zoom). Today is Episode 1 in a special 4-part Podcast series I'm doing this month all about making sales calls fun (and profitable). In this episode I talk about… Why "discovery sessions" suck The 3 biggest mistakes people (including Past Janet) make on sales calls. What a TJ and TP is and why they make sales calls fun How to filter out tyre kickers and only talk to interested buyers What makes a sale a no-brainer for your potential clients Action steps you can take this week Extra resources to help you P.S. Next week I'll share the 4-part framework I use on every sales call that is stress-free and results in a high sales conversion. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
If you know you have a great product, a great business idea and the passion to make it happen... but you're just getting the results you know, in your core, really are possible, then you will love todays' podcast interview. In this week's episode of Romance Your Tribe Podcast, we're shining the spotlight on Attract Your Tribe Academy member, Julie Watson. Julie is such a great role model for facing her fears and taking action even when her confidence in herself and her business is low. No wonder her brand is "Stronger Than My Excuses"! You'll see what actions Julie took that brought in sales within a week of joining the program, then a few transformational months later resulted in her first $20K sale. Here's a few of the things we chat about... How Julie got her first international client within 1 week, including what she sold to bring in quick cash HINT = she followed the instructions and template in the "Quick Cash" module in the orientation pack The unique and no-brainer solution Julie offers in her business (wish I'd thought of it) How switching her avatar totally changed her business (and her confidence) Why Julie hated sales calls before changing her avatar and offer and why she now loves them. The story behind Julie's first $20,000 sale The concept of The Nested Business Model and how Julie applied this to her offers Really great ideas you can use for your own business See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Hey, this is the first Romance Your Tribe Podcast episode for 2022 and what could be better than shining the light on one of our wonderful graduates in this month's Tribe Spotlight. Soochen Low really stood out to me as a brilliant action taker when implementing everything she learned in my Video Marketing program 3 years ago! It was so wonderful to connect again and learn how she has used the power of video to grow her coaching business beyond 6 figures and generously share behind-the-scenes how she did that, and tips you can implement yourself. We talk about… What does a "Business Joy Coach" do? Video Marketing versus speaking at events versus networking - why video was the winner for Soochen. The importance of choosing a mentor who you resonate with. Soochen shares why highly polished videos created by many video marketing mentors actually stopped her buying from them (this may take some pressure off you too). The power of simple when it comes to video and why a super professional production may cost you sales. A very simple, "woo-woo" but powerful exercise to give you confidence on camera (plus a link to an instructional video so you can master it now). I LOVED Soochen's lessons on stepping into leadership and claiming your uniqueness in biz. How Soochen attracts and converts clients using Linked In and the confidence that comes from video A gift from Soochen - this is really unique - a digital version of an illustrated eBook designed to activate your leadership in a beautifully, whimsical way. Plus a bonus personal session to "ground your star leadership energy". See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In this episode we take a look at the topic that has fuelled many cocktail hour conversations: shares versus property. Niv Dagan walks us through the statistics over the past 20 years to show to show how shares have outperformed property and why. Louise Bedford tells us to stop being VANILLA about things that matter in Mindpower and suggests creating a bubble of protection around yourself. Janet Beckers gives us a tribal leaders tip and Jono tells us the state of the market last week. Market Wrap with Jono Barratt With the prospect of interest rates moving up in the USA and the whole cycle reversing, the Dow closed down 143 points on Friday. The Australian market is trading with mixed confidence at the moment while the Dax and Tech Dax have had a fantastic move. While the Europeans are still printing 50 billion euro, anything with a European flavour looks good to Jono. Mindpower with Louise Bedford Other people’s opinions of you are none of your business. So stop being VANILLA about things that count. Sometimes instead of biting your tongue you should be giving people a tongue-lashing. One of the keys to success is to make a decision and back yourself. Try creating a bubble for yourself and let any negative person on the outside hit your bubble wall. You see… when you are living your best self, you won’t give up. Tribal Leaders Tip with Janet Beckers Old excuses wont cut it when you are ready to step up as the leader of your tribe. What habits are you going to have to let go of to step up into your success? For more tribal leaders tips go: http://www.romanceyourtribe.com Shares versus Property With Niv Dagan. It's the age-old question of shares versus property. The dealing room versus bricks and mortar. Many dinner conversations have been had over this topic and while taste, personality and preference all play a role in a people’s decisions, Niv Dagan walks us through how shares have been outperforming property over the past 20 years. In the 2013/14 ASX Long-Term Investor report, returns for the 3 main investor classes were: Cash: 6% Residential Property: 8.6% Shares: 10% The major reason for shares outperformance of property is that dealing tickets are just so much more affordable than mortgage loan repayments. The share market is much more accessible to people. Niv also outlines how you can protect the value of your share portfolio with insurance.
