Here are five practical ways to slow down and savor life, helping you create more balance, joy, and mindfulness in your personal and entrepreneurial journey. Life moves FAST, doesn't it? If we're not careful, we get swept up in the hustle, always chasing the next thing, and suddenly, we realize we haven't truly enjoyed our days. I've been there, pushing, striving, and forgetting to pause. But this year, I'm making a conscious effort to slow down, reflect, and soak in life's little joys. If you're feeling stretched thin, you are NOT alone. Let's do this together! Here are five ways we can all slow down and savor life. Action Plan: 1 - Prioritize What Matters Most: Do a time audit, set boundaries, and make sure your daily actions reflect what's truly important. 2 - Be Mindful in the Present Moment: Take a deep breath, engage your senses, and stop letting distractions pull you away from what really matters. 3 - Simplify Your Day: Clear the clutter from your schedule, cut out unnecessary tasks, and create routines that bring ease instead of stress. 4 - Make Time for Joyful Activities: Schedule FUN into your week, say "yes" to spontaneous moments, and do the things that fill your cup. 5 - Practice Gratitude for the Small Things: Keep a gratitude journal, notice the little joys in each day, and share your appreciation with others. Now that we've covered the first two, it's time for the third principle of Vigilant Leadership: Enabling the Action Plan! Note how we said “enabling,” not “doing.” That means we'll also be talking about letting go of control. Enabling the action plan means assigning the right people to the right roles, creating foundational operating principles for success, building capability and setting expectations, letting things go, and practicing self-awareness. Building consistency in your habits is the key to long-term success - learn five simple steps to make habits stick, even when life gets in the way. There's so much power in being consistent with your habits, and it's not about being perfect or overly ambitious. It's about showing up, even in small ways, every single day. I recently read a quote that really stuck with me: "Forming good habits isn't about being perfect, it's about being more of who you are." That hit me hard because when we build habits that align with who we truly are, they become effortless and life-changing. Let's break it down into five steps so you can build habits that stick for the long haul! Action Plan: 1 - Start Small and Build Gradually: Begin with tiny, manageable habits and gradually build on them. 2 - Make Habits Non-Negotiable: Treat your habit as a must-do part of your day, no exceptions. 3 - Track Your Progress and Celebrate Wins: Use a tracker and celebrate small wins to stay motivated. 4 - Stay Committed Even When Results Aren't Immediate: Trust the proces, even when results aren't immediate. 5 - Adjust and Adapt When Necessary: Life happens—adjust but don't give up! Stop letting negative thoughts and words hold you back—this episode explores five things to stop saying and thinking to create a more positive, fulfilling life. Lately, I've been thinking a lot about the power of our words and thoughts. What we tell ourselves shapes our reality, and sometimes, we don't even realize how much negativity we let in. I recently made a commitment to be more intentional about the things I say and think—and let me tell you, it's not always easy! But the shifts I've noticed already are incredible. If you want to create a better future for yourself, join me as we talk about five things to stop saying and thinking so you can start seeing real change. Action Plan: 1 - Stop complaining about things you can't control. Complaining drains your energy and keeps you stuck. Instead, focus on gratitude and actionable solutions. 2 - Stop gossiping about others. Gossip creates negativity and doesn't serve you. Shift conversations to positive or productive topics. 3 - Stop making excuses. Excuses hold you back from growth. Take responsibility and reframe challenges into opportunities. 4 - Stop overthinking and worrying about the future. Stay present and take action instead of getting lost in “what-ifs." 5 - Stop believing you're not good enough. Replace self-doubt with affirmations and recognize your worth—because you are enough. The UK has set a pesticide reduction target of 10% over the next five years. Do you control your day, or does your day control you? If you're unsure, one way to tell is by looking at how your days unfold and how you react to what happens. Do you start each morning with the best intentions, knowing precisely what you want to accomplish, only to reach the end of the day wondering where the time went—and realizing you didn't achieve your goals? If so, chances are, other people are controlling your time. Sound familiar? If it does, you're not alone. Many financial advisors, insurance agents, wholesalers, branch managers, and agency managers struggle to structure their days. Without a solid daily action plan, they react to urgent requests and constant interruptions instead of proactively managing their tasks. As a result, they spend their days putting out fires—jumping from one distraction to the next—without making meaningful progress on their priorities. In this episode, we'll share practical strategies that successful advisors and agents use to stay on track. These aren't just theoretical ideas—they're actionable steps you can implement immediately to help you achieve your business goals.

Do you ever feel like a month flies by too fast? Before you know it, the months string together, and you reach a new quarter, but you really aren't any further along at growing your business than you were three months ago. Does this sound like you? If so, know that you are not alone. Many financial advisors, insurance agents, wholesalers, branch managers, and even agency managers don't have a strategy to consistently compartmentalize their activities to see success month after month. Having a process that allows you to evaluate each month and then hone and tweak from the previous month's actions or inaction can set you up for an even better month, next month! This episode shares practical strategies successful advisors and agents have used to assess each month's successes (or not). These are not just theoretical concepts but actionable steps to incorporate into your practice, empowering you to accomplish your business goals.
In this episode, we're going to talk about five powerful antidotes that can help you navigate mental blocks and entrepreneurial challenges as a food blogger. I recently heard someone use the word antidote to describe how they dealt with mental blocks as an entrepreneur, and it stuck with me. I love the idea that there's a remedy—a way to counteract the “poison” of things like overwhelm, self-doubt, and confusion that can suck the life out of us as business owners. In this episode, I'm diving into five powerful antidotes that can help you break free from those struggles that feel impossible to escape. You don't have to stay stuck. If you can identify the “poison” and apply the right antidote, you can move forward with clarity and purpose. Let's talk about how to do just that. Action Plan: 1 -Physical movement is the antidote for rumination. 2 - Air, water, and words is the antidote for confusion. 3 - Gratitude for people is the antidote for feeling underappreciated, undervalued, and unworthy. 4 - Doing one thing is the antidote for a lack of motivation. 5 - Setting boundaries is the antidote for overwhelm. In this episode, we're going to talk about five steps to designing a future version of yourself that is energetic, fulfilled, and happy. What does 'Future You' look like? I love this concept of being able to implement new habits and improve the quality of my life, year by year. We probably don't realize how much control we have over our future selves. In fact, we're all constantly shaping our lives through our thoughts, beliefs, habits, and emotions. So what is the problem? We get complacent and stop trying to change. We end up not reaching our potential, but it doesn't have to be that way. We can shake off complacency, step into intentionality, and take control of creating a future version of ourselves that's happy, fulfilled, and thriving. That's what I intend to do in 2025 and here are five easy steps you can follow too. Action Plan: 1 - Design future you on paper. 2 - Display the details of your future self where you can see them daily. 3 - Start allowing the details of your future self to guide your decisions. 4 - Surround yourself with people who support your future you. 5 - Track your progress and adjust as needed.
