Welcome back to Don't Talk To Strangers! This is a wild episode so make sure you a have grabbed your bevvy! We discuss horrendous case of Dominique Pelicot, a man, who subjected his wife to nearly a decade of sexual abuse, without her knowledge! There isn't a huge amount of info online (at the time of recording) but we think this is definitely something we will re-cover in the future! Hold on tight!
Welcome back to Don't Talk To Strangers! We are back with another twisted tale with the case of John Edward Robinson aka 'The Internets first Serial Killer' This is a long story of greed, manipulation and a thirst for power and control, all fuelled by the early days of the Internet! Grab a bevvy it's about to get heavy!
Happy New Year! When was the last time you admired someone's style from afar, say from across the street? Or when you found yourself sitting next to them in a public place, a cafe perhaps, at a fashion show or on the bus? Did you strike up a conversation? Because we mostly don't. Mostly we just think how fab they look and that's that. I like to think of our first Episode for series 11 as an encouragement to talk to stylish strangers, in the very best of ways, because you never know what might come out of it.At London Fashion Week last season, I spotted Beau McCall in the crowd, and thought: Oh my, what a FABULOUS OUTFIT. He was covered, you see, in buttons galore, like a Harlem version of a Pearly King. He'd topped off this look with a Vivienne Westwood Buffalo hat. Next thing I knew, he was making his way over, and sat down next to me. The rest is, if not exactly history, encapsulated in this warm and sparkling conversation. Actually, there is quite a bit of history in it - from the evolution of the button as a fastener/decoration strictly for the well-to-do, to everyman's (and woman's) closure of choice, to the fashion history of NYC in the late '80s.Also up for discussion: why every family should have a button box, the joy of hand-sewing, how fashion can help if you're shy at parties, and what happens when you try and sew hundreds of a buttons onto a bathtub...For pics and links, hop over, as usual, to: thewardrobecrisis.comBeau's website is beaumccall.comFor info on The Or Foundation's Kantamanto fund, see here.To discover our Sustainable Fashion 101 online course, click here. We're giving listeners who enrol in January 50% off.Apply the discount code - newyear - at checkout to redeem your gift. Welcome back to Don't Talk To Strangers! Well this is a journey and a half as we discuss the horrific case known as the 'Riverside Sex Worker Killer' This case is not as well known as some of the larger more prolific serial killer cases but left a lasting impact on the Riverside Area. Grab a bevvy it gets real heavy! Also we want to add in a correction on the actual difference between a secretor and a non-secretor, this is whether a person's body fluids contain their blood type antigens: Secretors People who secrete their blood type antigens into bodily fluids like saliva, tears, sweat, semen, and breast milk Non-secretors People who do not secrete their blood type antigens into bodily fluids, or secrete very little

Sponsored by Comcast Xfinity, it's not the best choice, it's the only choice! Our adventure came to an early end due to the Exalted Demake combat engine so far being a bit out of tune. We discuss what problems we faced and brainstorm some possible fixes for what we've experienced. Once the system gets another balance pass we will probably come back to this game, but for now, that's all from our Atrocity of Exalted guinea pigs!
Sponsored by phlogiston, the fire essence of oil. Our Atrocity of Exalted guinea pigs take a break from being murderhobos and decide to investigate the source of cheap wagyu steaks and lobster rolls. Will they find out if one person can really eat all he can eat? They also investigate the source of a miracle drug that has been hitting the streets and keeping everyone hooked on being healthy and full of energy. Will they stop such cheap and affordable medicine from being available to the public? Let's find out!
Sponsored by muffled sounds of gorilla violence, the best gorilla joke of 1897! Our Atrocity of Exalted guinea pigs rush in to save people from a vampire bar. A big fight breaks out that involves not only placed explosives but also an entire truck. Will an unholy knight of the Sabbat, along with armies of shovelheads, be able to put a scratch on our gods of murder, or will gloves have to finally come off? Afterwards, the party has a nice talk with a door frame. It makes sense in context…
Sponsored by chaos response, the new Sabbat war tactic! Our Atrocity of Exalted guinea pigs get a new quest from Luna - to find Dr Fun D. Mental's rogue domain guardian, an animatronic knight endoskeleton. They go looking for it in the orange grove that's just infested with zombies. Will the new threat be able to handle our murderhobos, or will Devon have to crank the numbers up?
Sponsored by botches, everyone's favourite roll outcome! Our Atrocity of Exalted guinea pigs crash a party at Castle Ravenloft, a goth club voted Most Likely To Be Ran By Vampires five years in a row by the readers of the Helios Herald. Will they be in danger, or will they dominate the local vampires like the demigod murder machines they are?
Sponsored by playtests, fail early, fail often! Welcome to our new game of Exalted Demake (vs World of Darkness)! We are game testing the new iteration of the Demake system with focus on combat. So expect a lot of people getting hurt! The setting is Helios, Florida in the year 2020. The city's occult matrix has been on the fritz, and the combined plague and heatwave make people's lives unbearable. Worst yet, the neon-light soaked city has been cursed after the murder of Abel. And to top it all off, Exalted have returned… Pitch document for this game - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yoiRb5x1PrTjwzz1h3NpVUnspTe0Uu5sHfTD_-214NA/edit?usp=sharing Our cast for this series includes: - Devon as the facilitator - Gerald as Salah al Rashid-Jackson, a Dawn Caste Solar - Stephanie as The Hare who Eats the Wolf (aka Zero), a Day Caste Abyssal - Falco as Noah Etellion, a Twilight Caste Solar - Arbane as Captain Craig Donovan, a Zenith Caste Solar - Panda as Neil Bhediya, a Dawn Caste Solar - Adam as Nothing Else Matters, a Dusk Caste Abyssal - Nicole as Fossil, a Full Moon Lunar
You're not a kid anymore, so forget what you were told about 'stranger danger' (I mean, be sensible about it obviously)! Striking up conversations with new people can do wonders for your mental health. We love this tip from Scott Galloway, author of The Algebra of Happiness. Have we become afraid to talk to strangers? When you're out for a walk and pass someone – do you say hello? Or if you're at the supermarket, would you strike up a conversation with the person on the tills? For many, the thought of doing this sends shivers down their spine, but journalist Niamh O'Reilly thinks it's good for the soul! She joins Seán to discuss.
Howdy, stranger! In this episode, Rhett & Link are talking about the benefits of talking to strangers and why they want to have that be a more common experience for themselves. Plus, some colorful commentary on working with (or not working with) brands, that gets rather heated towards sandwich shops. Not all heroes, amiright? The final week countdown to Christmas starts now and the entire crew is keeping an eye on that ticker! Another fun show to warm the spirits after a weekend where Minnesotans saw temps drop is just the cure for any of those Monday morning blues! In the first hour SKOR North's Phil Mackey talks about how the Vikings collapsed in the 4th quarter against the Bengals but gave a spinzone on the good news if they keep losing games, KSTP's Chris Egert has stories from the Hubbard Holiday Party that happened over the weekend, and discusses how the El Nino hitting the east coast is actually benefiting the weather in Minnesota. Hour #2 has Bob Sansevere who thinks Kevin O'Connell is one of two types of coaches, talks about the Vikings failed Tush Pushes, and discusses Rick Carlisle's comments on the Timberwolves. In hour #3, we use the internet to tell you how dangerous and bad the internet is. Technically our advice only applies to children though, and if you're a child you should absolutely not be listening to this podcast. Speaking of good advice, Kristyn Burtt discusses reasons not to overdose on ketamine. Reason 1: you'll die. That's actually pretty much the main reason. On the Family, it's Costaki's last show before Christmas. It's also his last show before his birthday, because they're the same day. Which leads us to the age-old discussion: why is everybody born Christmas week? Are they just a bunch of copycats trying to be like Jesus? Probably. Link to buy book: https://www.yestheorybook.com/ Link to review book (means the world!): https://tinyurl.com/2y7ts3ry Hi guys, The book launched four days ago and the support from this community has been unbelievable. Thank you to each and everyone of you who ordered. Your support doesn't go unnoticed. It truly is life changing for me. I'm already getting so many positive messages from so many of you who binged it (some of you in just a few hours!), and it's just the best. Alrigthty, here is a podcast I did about a month ago in Montreal with my best friend and co-writer of Talk To Strangers, Mr. Derin Emre. Derin is just the best. He doesn't hold back and in this one we go into where we went after leaving Yes Theory, what it was like tackling such a daunting project together, and our honest opinions about the book. Prepare yourself for one hell of an honest and hilarious conversation. Love you all!

On this episode of SimplyPodLogical, Cristine and Ben talk about their trip to Raleigh, North Carolina for the Holo Taco x Safiya truck event, and discuss icebreakers or how to start a conversation with somebody.
People are open. People are curious. People want to learn. They want to know. Every time I talk with strangers, that's what I find. Every time I walk away from those conversations, that's what I feel. Hope. Compassion. Connection. But you wouldn't know this unless you engage, talk, listen, interact. Show up. I'm asked so often how to talk about being vegan, how to be a voice for animals. What to say? How to say it? When to respond? How to respond? How to remain calm? How to remain joyful? How to be effective? Today is a 2-hour Masterclass in Communication and Conversation based on recent interactions I've had. I also share what I think is one of the greatest dangers of our time, and it's related to communication, so tuck in, pour yourself a cuppa, and get comfy, because we've got a lot to cover in today's episode. —————— Support this podcast today at JoyfulVegan.com/Donate Visit my website: JoyfulVegan.com Join me on an all-inclusive vegan trip: JoyfulVeganTrips.com AFFILIATE PARTNERS: Nama Juicer — Use this link and coupon code COLLEEN10 and get 10% off my favorite juicer. When I work with older ADHD women they often ask me, “I've made it through life this far, what would really change if I got a diagnosis?” Well, self-leadership coach and author Angela Raspass is here to answer that question, and her response is “everything.” Angela was diagnosed last year at 53, and even she was shocked by just how drastically her life was altered when she started to understand and accommodate her ADHD. She was lucky enough to find a medication that works for her brain, but Angela credits the biggest improvements to lifestyle and positivity changes, which have manifested into better relationships with her business, her family, and most importantly, herself. Angela's ADHD diagnosis allowed her to finally feel like she was taking the reins on her own life after so many years of not realizing the reins were even there. I hope her story inspires you to grab your own reins no matter your age.
