Prayer is a conduit of God's power, provision and purposes. Through it God's will is done on earth as it is in heaven. What should we pray for? And what do we do with unanswered prayer? Joe Gerber addresses these questions and casts a vision for a culture of prayer.
The Moravians, an unassuming, powerless, group of refugees prayed mightily for one hundred years. The effects of those prayers cannot be estimated and are still felt today. This is no surprise to anyone who understands intercessory prayer. Prayer makes a difference. In this episode of Breaking Bread, Joe Gerber recounts this history and lays a foundation for prayer today. Listeners will be inspired by the privilege and responsibility of prayer.

Joe Gerber is a business designer and a managing director of IDEO CoLAB. After studying biology, taking an MBA, and working as a product manager, he joined IDEO as the first business designer in the New York office. In the episode we spoke about: how to systematically test your design so that it achieves users and business goals, the role of vocabulary in bridging different design disciplines, how do you use design approach to reduce risks in highly risky business situations, and Joe's favourite business design questions that you can use in your project.
We sat down with CoLab’s Joe Gerber and Gavin McDermott to talk about the distributed web and blockchains and why it's important to experiment with this emerging technology. Many people see blockchain technology as bitcoin, but as Joe and Gavin discuss, bitcoin is just the tip of the spear and one small piece of a larger movement of blockchain technology and the distributed web.
Joe Gerber is BACK for a full episode of VDTBOM. Diego and Joe get nerdy pretty fast, but hang in there — mind blowing venture design awaits. They catch up on what's happening in the IDEO CoLab (www.ideocolab.com), learn about ICOs and tokens, and chat about a few fascinating startups. As always, we love hearing from you: www.twitter.com/ideofutures or futures@ideo.com. And remember: don't get started, get weird.
In our Creative Confidence series chat with IDEO CoLab Co-Managing Director Joe Gerber, we explored the world of business prototyping. In his early days as a Business Designer at IDEO, Joe noticed that experimenting and prototyping were an essential part of IDEO’s process and became curious about prototyping something complicated and abstract like a business. Applying the design approach and philosophy to new business ventures with techniques like prototyping creates a clearer path forward.
Attorneys Russ Melton of Foley & Mansfield and Joe Gerber of Cozen O'Connor discuss the special needs of responding to industrial and other large disasters such as fires, chemical exposures and explosions.
