We are inside the field of the upcoming Solar Eclipse and the Saturn-Neptune conjunction, a rare pivotal week.On February 17, 2026, the Solar Eclipse at 28° Aquarius activates the North Node (the dragon's head), symbolizing appetite, growth, and evolutionary pull. In myth, the nodes were imagined as a dragon: the head hungry and grasping, the tail releasing and purging. When the eclipse aligns with the North Node, desire intensifies. Restlessness increases. The future presses forward. In Aquarius, that hunger becomes collective. We grow dissatisfied with outdated systems. We feel the strain of identities that no longer fit.We sense that the status quo cannot sustain what is coming. This eclipse also squares Uranus in Taurus — the Maverick-Awakener grounded in the material world. Vision must root. Innovation must sustain life. Revolution must be embodied. This New Moon Solar Eclipse is a preview of the larger Leo–Aquarius nodal shift later this year. The story of belonging, leadership, community, and collective responsibility is only beginning. And then we widen the lens.Saturn and Neptune are moving toward their conjunction on February 20th at 0° Aries — the very first degree of the zodiac. The last time these two met at this degree was nearly 6,000 years ago, during the dawn of early written language and formal calendar systems. Humanity was naming reality. Establishing shared agreements about time, meaning, and order. We are standing at a similar threshold.Saturn (structure, law, accountability) meets Neptune (vision, dissolution, transcendence). Together, they reset the boundary between what is real and what is imagined. We are renegotiating reality.Collectively, this may show up as institutions dissolving or restructuring, illusions surfacing, and new definitions of identity and authority emerging.Personally, this week may bring:Dissatisfaction without a clear replacementA call to build something meaningfulA quiet recognition that an old agreement has expiredA hunger for the future that must be guided with maturityThis is not a week for impulsive action. It is a week for orientation.Nearly 6,000 years ago, humans were deciding how to name the world. What are we naming now?Something is being written again. And you are not outside that story.Reflection Questions:Where in my life am I being asked to renegotiate what is “real” — based on lived truth rather than habit or fear? (Notice where old assumptions no longer fit, even if nothing external has fully changed yet.)What am I hungry for — and is that hunger aligned with integrity or urgency? (The North Node's appetite needs wise stewardship.)If I were naming my world anew from maturity rather than survival, what would I consciously call forward? (Think language, identity, agreements, roles.)Podcast Poem: Let Them Not Say by Jane HirshfieldSupport the showGo to Sheila's website for information for transformational resources: https://www.ontheedgesofchange.com/home-page This episode was co-created with generative AI, engaged as a soul-aligned ally in service of transformation. Welcome to episode 73 of Music in the Minor League! This week we are joined by Nash Daniels. Nash is a singer-songwriter based in Bryan, TX. We met him back in 2020 when he was performing as Kerosene Pipedream. Last year, he started HowdyFest, which is a music festival on Thanksgiving weekend at The 101 in Bryan. This year, the festival is going two days with many great artists from Texas and beyond. We were stoked to sit down and hear about Nash's path in music, what led to starting HowdyFest and what keeps him working on new songs. To close out the episode, we added our upcoming single Lost in the Static as the closing song. It'll be out as a lyric video on Friday and on streaming the following Friday. We hope you dig it and enjoy our conversation with Nash!

In this engaging conversation, Tommy V, Mikey, and Chance from Kerosene Heights discuss the band's recent album release, the positive reception from fans, and the creative process behind their music. They delve into their studio experience with producer Billy Mannino, the challenges of maintaining artistic integrity while appealing to a broader audience, and the impact of COVID on their touring plans. The discussion also touches on the DIY music scene in Asheville and Charlotte, their experiences with record labels, and the significance of festivals like Fest in their career. Additionally, they share humorous anecdotes about local culture, including the infamous barbecue wars in North Carolina.Power chords and crashing boards. Mikey, Tom, and Justin talk music, hockey, and anything else that gets in their way. Tom and Mikey are lifelong friends that grew up on Long Island during the glory days of alternative music where our local bands were As Tall As Lions, Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, Bayside, The Sleeping, Envy on the Coast, you get the point. We spent many nights together at The Downtown, catching any pop-punk, indie, hardcore, or emo band that came through. This was not a phase, Mom! Fast forward 20 years and we are still just as passionate about the scene as we were during our girl jeans and youth XL band tees days. Tom and Mikey are diehard New York Islanders fans, but Justin (Bolts fan) likes to remind us that we are #notanislespodcast. As we got older we realized we can like more than one thing and running beside our love for music has always been our love for hockey. We have realized we are not alone in this thinking, actually there are many of us that love these two things! This podcast explores just how connected they are!NEW EPISODE EVERY TUESDAY! Welcome to episode 66 of Music in the Minor League! This week, we're talking to Scott Schaafsma of Kerosene Stars. We first heard Kerosene Stars when they played with MiML alums, Junebird, last year. We've seen them quite a few times since then and even had the opportunity to play a show with them recently. So, it just made sense to hassle Scott about doing an episode of the podcast.Kerosene Stars is an American power-pop/rock band originally formed in Chicago, IL. Then, in 2023, Scott moved to the Houston area and started a new version of the band. The catch is that he never broke up the Chicago version, so both branches of the band operate simultaneously and perform in their own regions depending on where Scott is. It's a pretty cool concept. We hope you enjoy the conversation and learn all you hope to about Kerosene Stars! We'll see you again next week as we catch up from our summer break!
