Ep 278 “The Final Call from the Oval Throne” – National Gun Violence Awareness Month (Bullet Poof Bulletins) Celebrating the grand finale of the Bullet Poof Bulletins series for National Gun Violence Awareness Month, Avis Kalfsbeek brings down the house at the Spoke-Easy Stage with a wild narrative update. Tonight, Kitty O'Compost recounts a bizarre shop phone call she received earlier in the day from the corporate-backed "Mr. President Emperor USA," who demanded she shut down the community forge for ruining the firearms market. Kitty uses the encounter to drop a final, brilliant history lesson drawn from the archives of executive firearms—exposing how early American leaders treated weapons as ornamental, velvet-boxed relics rather than everyday lifestyle accessories. Inspired by the transformative, hopeful themes of Bullet Poof, this finale ends with a powerful call to action, thanking the community for coming together and challenging us to invest in real-world neighborhood solidarity. Every team has them. The teammate who turns a one-word answer into a five-minute monologue. The developer who has not said a word in three retrospectives. The Product Owner who "adds context" to every user story before anyone gets a chance to read it. This episode is a high-energy, no-nonsense look at the over-talkers and under-talkers who quietly shape every meeting, and at the facilitation moves that turn a room of crickets and ramblers into a room of contributors. Expect a practical tour through the Explorer, Shopper, Vacationer, and Prisoner lens from Diana Larsen and Esther Derby's Agile Retrospectives, a fresh take on meeting personas like the Rambler, the Interrupter, the Silent Assassin, and the Ghost Participant, and a stack of techniques you can use this week:Sand timers in stand-ups. Parking lots that get used. Round-robin and popcorn share-outs. Intentionally crafted breakout rooms. Silent brainstorming. "Make space, take space" working agreements. And the most underused move of all, one-on-one coaching outside the meeting. The takeaway is simple and bracing. The goal of a great meeting is not equal talking time. The goal is meaningful contribution. Great facilitators do more than manage conversations. They create the conditions for better conversations to happen.

Tickets were only available to purchase in person at the box office beginning at 7 a.m. PST on Saturday. Fans snaked around the venue on Friday night, which means if you're reading this, it's almost definitely too late to secure a ticket if you haven't already done so. Foo Fighters also included a minute-long snippet of music in their announcement post. The heavy, vocal-less track is stacked with furious guitars and aggressive, punkish drums but currently yields no results on Shazam. It's unclear whether it's a new, as-yet-unreleased Foo Fighters song or perhaps an old vault track that's never seen the light of day." This is an encore presentation of a previous episode, originally airing in 2016. --- Currently a writer on CBS' Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Brian Stack started on NBC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien in 1997, winning an Emmy for writing on the show ten years later and appearing as the caped and mustachioed Interrupter, hapless door-to-door salesman Hannigan and the ghost of old-time radio crooner Artie Kendall, among a slew of other characters. He followed Conan to both his truncated tenure at The Tonight Show and his current TBS program, but moved with his family back to New York and joined the Colbert staff in September of 2015. Having also made appearances on 30Rock, The Office, New Girl and Parks & Recreation, Brian talks today about his love for The Replacements, what vinyl box set he recently bought despite no longer owning a turntable, and yes... what it's like to open for Slipknot.
