Or Something". Könnte der bald mit seinem eigenen Festival on the road gehen? Und: warum gibt's im Backstage bei The Last Dinner Party Kisten voller Popcorn?
The trio dives headfirst into the 2026 Grammys Runway Rundown— delivering their signature takes on the good, the bad, the ugly, and the unforgettable “fire the stylist!” moments. The show kicks off with their classic intro before reminding listeners they can book an Armenian Coffee Reading at PolAtteu.com — virtually or live in West Hollywood — and grab a SnowWhite90210 SnowBubu (the ultimate glam accessory for your Birkin, backpack or shelf). Then it's straight to fashion fireworks. Chappell Roan stuns in a bordeaux cape moment that transforms from understated elegance to bold art reveal — complete with nipple rings. Pol praises the risk; Patrik debates the appropriateness. Art vs. shock value sets the tone for the episode. Chaka Khan in Christian Siriano sparks heated discussion: corsetry, coke feathers, mesh boots and gold nails. Glam icon? Yes. Modern? Debatable. The proportions and dated structure divide the room. Benson Boone (Armani) brings black-on-black layering lessons, prompting a masterclass on dye lots and fabric depth. Meanwhile, Angelique Kidjo in Louis Vuitton velvet is declared powerful, polished, and perfectly proportioned — head wrap, double-breasted suit and all. Adrienne Bailon Houghton's crystal architectural gown reads vintage flapper fantasy, while Addison Rae's Alaïa white tiered plunge feels more Met Gala than Grammys. Sticky tape fashion tips ensue. Jennifer Hudson earns rave reviews for her ruched leather Killian Koerner gown with dramatic shoulder and cascading slit — Grammy edge done right. Jewelry layering advice follows. Justin & Hailey Bieber deliver coordinated black Balenciaga/Alaïa cool. Sexy, confident, curated sloppy. Justin's stripped-down performance ignites debate: raw genius or missed theatrical moment? Karol G's pistachio lace Paolo Sebastian gown divides over tassels vs. sultry silhouette. Yungblud in Chrome Hearts revives rock energy with leather, chains and a cross pendant. Sombr's iridescent Valentino suit with “Happy Rose” lace is called one of the night's best — shimmering, daring and Grammy-perfect. Pol even volunteers to recreate it. Sabrina Carpenter (Valentino couture) looks beautiful but “Emmys, not Grammys." Rosé in Giambattista Valli feels elegant yet lacking edge. Paris Hilton channels Material Girl in bugle-beaded Nicholas Jebran with opera gloves and diamonds. Accessory masterclass unlocked. Miley Cyrus (Celine) gets labeled “rock mom office-core,” while Lady Gaga's feathered Matières Fécales creation is praised as theatrical Grammy fantasy — thousands of feathers, Maleficent collar, full commitment. Kesha's white feather Atelier Versace is deemed poorly constructed and overwhelming, while Doechii in Cavalli purple confection feels Moulin Rouge meets prom curtain. Darren Criss (Tanner Fletcher brocade) impresses but needs a brooch moment. Billie Eilish (Hodakova) delivers inside-out conceptual tailoring — authentic and Grammys appropriate and Audrey Nuna (Thom Browne couture) is admired artistically but “the outfit wore her.” Finally, Teyana Taylor in Tom Ford closes the fashion segment flawlessly — sculpted, confident, fully accessorized diva energy. When I last spoke to Aidan Robinson from Chic de Partie Cake Couturier in 2022, he was figuring out life after Dinner by Heston. Now his cakes have found their way to Lady Gaga, Chappell Roan and Yungblud, yet the operation is still just him, a spreadsheet and beautiful buttercream. We talk about what the in-between years actually looked like: three-day bakes, clients who want childhood memories encapsulated in cake, and why fondant superheroes are a firm no. There's also the unglamorous side: rising food costs, Valentine's Day roulette, and literally doing everything on your own. It's a relaxed catch up about craft, taste and the reality behind the polish.
Bunnie Xo and Meme kick things off with a casual catch-up after a wild stretch of life—and they're joined by a special guest: Work Daddy Jason. From an impromptu podcast session to the nonstop buzz of Grammy night, the crew breaks down everything that's been happening lately. They talk Jason's growing confidence behind the camera and his full transition into stay-at-home dad mode before diving into the backlash surrounding Jelly Roll's faith—and why religion should never be weaponized. The conversation unpacks the chaos and emotion of the Grammy Awards, including Jelly's unexpected wins and heartfelt speeches, plus memorable run-ins with icons like Sharon Osbourne, Yungblud, and Lola Young. Bunnie also shares what's ahead with her upcoming book tour and personal projects, making this episode equal parts celebration, reflection, and real talk.Watch Full Episodes & More: YouTubeSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Want to request a song? Tell us your rating? Send us a Text Message right now! This week on 1001 Songs That Make You Want To Die, we take on “Zombie” by YUNGBLUD — a song that wants very badly to be important, emotional, and generation-defining… and somehow ends up sounding like a Hot Topic TED Talk.We dig into the song's trauma-core lyrics, its earnest but exhausting messaging, and the strange space YUNGBLUD occupies between punk rebellion and motivational poster. Along the way we ask the real questions: is this raw honesty, manufactured angst, or just shouting feelings until they feel profound? There's over-analysis, cultural side-quests, unnecessary hostility, and of course a fresh round of Could You Beat Them in a Fight? — because if you're going to scream about society collapsing, you should at least be able to throw a punch. It's emotional. It's loud. It's well-meaning. And it might make you want to lie down on the floor and stare at the ceiling.DUBBY DUBBY is declaring WAR on big Energy! Content warning: This episode contains discussion of rape (40:37–42:20). In this episode we ask Bob Stanley about his career as a writer and member of the beloved Saint Etienne, whose swansong year this is. We start with Caff, the '80s fanzine which set out the eclectic pop aesthetic that underpinned Saint Etienne, proceeding from there to Bob's memories of life on Melody Maker in the late '80s and early '90s. A clip of our guest's erstwhile MM colleague Simon Reynolds talking about Saint Etienne in 2021 is the cue for a general discussion of the trio's evolution over the last 35 years – and for an explanation of their (very amicable) decision to call it a day after a tour this September. Revisiting the epic "story of pop" that was Bob's 2013 tome Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! leads to clips from Hank Bordowitz's 1997 audio interview with the late Connie Francis, the Jersey girl who in the late '50s and early '60s was arguably the biggest female pop artist in America. After Mark pays a lifelong Deadhead's tribute to the late Bob Weir, he quotes from newly-added library pieces about the Nice (1967), Tom Wolfe (1969) and Paul McCartney (1979). Finally, Jasper sees us out with his thoughts on interviews with Ini Kamoze (1995) and D'Angelo (1998). Many thanks to special guest Bob Stanley. Visit his website at bobstanley.co.uk and find Yeah Yeah Yeah in all good bookshops. Pieces discussed: Saint Etienne, St. Etienne: Holier Than Thou, Saint Etienne: Cats Eyes and Legless, Bill Haley, Bob Stanley: Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! – The Story of Pop Music from Bill Haley to Beyoncé, Connie Francis was a trailblazing pop star haunted by tragedy, Connie Francis audio, The World According to Cliff, Alone again gratefully: Bob Weir proves he's more than Dead, The Nice, Tom Wolfe, Paul McCartney, Ini Kamoze, Voodoo Chile: D'Angelo and Yungblud.

Welcome to the second annual Seeing Them Live Year End Concert Review show, where a panel of returning guests shares their favorite live music experiences from 2025. Host Charles brings together an eclectic group of music enthusiasts including award-winning documentary filmmaker Eric Green, podcast host Jessica Catena, nurse practitioner Summer, antique shop owner Art Gregg, executive assistant Dawn Fontaine, accountant Steve Pothel, high school teacher Andy, and producer Doug Flozak to discuss the concerts that defined their year.Eric Green kicks off the discussion with an impressive lineup that showcased both legendary side projects and emerging talent. His year began with Close Enemies featuring Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton at City Winery Boston, followed by Kim Deal's solo tour at the Wilbur Theater. He caught Benmont Tench of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers fame doing an intimate VH1 Storytellers-style performance, and witnessed Shane Hawkins honoring his late father Taylor Hawkins with Chevy Metal at Brighton Music Hall. Eric also saw the Joe Perry Project's supergroup lineup featuring Chris Robinson and Robert DeLeo, enjoyed a nostalgic double bill of Billy Idol and Joan Jett at the Xfinity Center, caught the rising stars Wet Leg at a packed Roadrunner Boston show, experienced Jeff Tweedy's multigenerational band at Royale, and closed out his year with Throwing Muses at the new Racket venue in New York City.Jessica Catena attended three memorable indoor concerts that kept her dry after previous years of rain-soaked shows. She saw young jazz sensation Samara Joy at the newly renovated Ridgefield Playhouse in Connecticut with her uncle, experienced the Broadway spectacle of Moulin Rouge featuring Wayne Brady and Taye Diggs with updated contemporary songs, and capped off her year at iHeartRadio's Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden, where she saw Ed Sheeran, Laufey, and a diverse lineup of pop and folk artists while dealing with some challenging sightlines.Summer's concert year included the intimate Metro show with Bridget Calls Me Baby where her son met the bass player's parents, a record-breaking night at Lollapalooza featuring Olivia Rodrigo's surprise Weezer collaboration, an energetic Yungblud performance at the Riviera that included some crowd drama, and a unique operatic interpretation of Smashing Pumpkins' Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness at the Lyric Opera of Chicago during a snowstorm.Art Gregg had a remarkable year highlighted by three unforgettable shows. He saw childhood hero Burton Cummings of The Guess Who at the North Shore Center for Performing Arts after accidentally meeting him in the lobby without recognizing him, caught Michael Schenker's 50 Years with UFO celebration at the Desplaines Theater, and scored a last-minute ninth-row ticket to see Robert Plant at the intimate Vic Theatre, where the Led Zeppelin legend performed six classic songs including an electrifying version of Ramble On that earned a rare standing ovation.Charles rounds out the discussion by mentioning his own concert experiences at new Chicago venues including Space in Evanston where he saw Mdou Moctar and The Old 97s, the female-focused Motoblot festival at Beat Kitchen, an incredible Buddy Guy performance at the Rialto Square Theater where the 89-year-old blues legend walked through the aisles playing guitar, shows at the new Garcia's venue and City Winery, and his anticipation for an upcoming Iron Maiden show. The episode concludes with a teaser for part two, which will feature Dawn's private jet experience with the Rolling Stones, Andy's Bonnaroo adventure, and Steve's concert highlights.BANDS: Aerosmith, Alex Warren, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Belly, Benmont Tench, Billy Idol, Black Crows, Black Sabbath, Bob Dylan, Bridget Calls Me Baby, Burton Cummings, Chapel Rowan, Chevy Metal, Close Enemies, DJO, Dogs in a Pile, Ed Sheeran, Elastica, Elastica, Elvis, Foo Fighters, Foghat, Foster the People, Gary Newman, Generation X, Gigi Perez, Guns N Roses, Iron Maiden, Jeff Tweedy, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Joe Perry Project, Johnny Cash, K-pop band Monsta X, Katy Perry, Kim Deal, King Gizzard, Laufey, Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin 2, Liz Fair, Mdou Moctar, Metallica, Michael Shanker, Miles Smith, Ministry, Neil Young, Nelly, Nine Inch Nails, Olivia Rodrigo, Ozzy Osborne, Pixies, Psychedelic Furs, Radiohead, Robert Plant, Rolling Stones, Runaways, Samara Joy, Sarah Larson, Shonen Knife, Smashing Pumpkins, Soraia, Stone Temple Pilots, Taylor Hawkins, The Babies, The Beatles, The Black Crows, The Boudines, The Breeders, The Guess Who, The Old 97s, The Police, The Scorpions, The Velvet Underground, Throwing Muses, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, UFO, Van Halen, Walk the Moon, Wayne Brady, Weezer, Wet Leg, Wilco, Wrought Iron Soul, Yungblud.VENUES: Aragon Ballroom, Barclays, Beat Kitchen, Box Center Wang Theater (Boston), Brighton Music Hall (Boston), City Winery (Boston), City Winery (Chicago), Credit Union One Amphitheater, Desplaines Theater, Garcia's, Grant Park, Great Woods (Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts), House of Blues, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Madison Square Garden, Metro, North Shore Center for Performing Arts (Skokie, Illinois), Penn Station, Racket (New York City/Chelsea), Ravinia, Rialto Square Theater, Ridgefield Playhouse, Riviera, Roadrunner Boston, Royale (Boston), Salt Shed (Chicago), Sonia (Cambridge, Massachusetts), Space (Evanston, Illinois), Thalia Hall, Tweeter Center, Vic Theatre (Chicago), Wilbur Theater (Boston), Wrigley Field, Xfinity Center (Mansfield, Massachusetts). Pasen y disfruten.
