Stu tackles an uncomfortable question most Christians avoid: why would anyone actually want to go to heaven?Starting with 90s skateboarding culture and songs like "Heaven is a Halfpipe" and AC/DC's "Highway to Hell," Stu explores why so many people associate heaven with restrictive authority rather than ultimate freedom. The cultural zeitgeist has always celebrated rebellion—so why would anyone choose eternal submission to God?Using 1 Corinthians 13, Stu reveals the true nature of heaven: it's not about activities or autonomy, it's about being face to face with Jesus. Right now we "see through a mirror dimly," living by faith rather than sight. But in heaven, faith gives way to direct relationship—seeing Jesus face to face every single day.Stu doesn't shy away from the doctrine of hell, presenting it as potentially a place where people continue to reject God even in eternity, "gnashing their teeth" not in regret but in ongoing anger at divine authority. It's a sobering reminder that not everyone loves Jesus—and those who don't won't want to be with him forever. The challenge: if you find church boring or faith difficult, the issue might not be external—it might be your relationship with Jesus himself. Because when you truly love him, gathering with the kingdom becomes a foretaste of eternity.Part of our God, Why? series.
Kingdom: Citizens Of The Kingdom (Beto Guerra) by Pastor Harold Guerra
In a city filled with Roman pride, culture, and honor, the Apostle Paul writes a letter to the Christians living there. Title: "Surrendering As Kingdom Citizens" Fellowship Teacher: Suzette Arnold Scripture References: Matthew 26:39 Psalm 23Philippians 2:5-11 Recorded on July 19, 2025 www.khowglobal.com

Something like, “If you want to be the greatest, then serve the most,” or “In the Kingdom, greatness isn't measured by gifting or title, but by service.” But if we reduce this rich text to mere moralism, we miss the profound covenantal message Matthew intends his readers to grasp. In this sermon, Pastor Matt unpacks the verse in its full context, emphasizing its courtroom setting, revealing its Christ-centered thrust, and shining a light on the glory of the Gospel and the establishment of God's Kingdom on earth.

Is there something inherently wrong with those titles? Not at all. Listen as Pastor Matt digs into this text to show that something much greater than a legalistic ban on the use of a few titles is at the heart of Jesus' prohibition. In fact, the rejection of exalted titles is eternally important. It is nothing less than an indication of Kingdom Citizenship.
Knowing Jesus changes the way we see ourselves, others, and the world around us. This perspective shift is necessary for living as Kingdom Citizens with Kingdom attitudes towards our self and others. God gives us wisdom whenever we ask Him and helps us to see our own sins and to know how to walk in wisdom towards outsiders. (See Colossians 4:5-6 with Hebrews 4:14-16)Prepare for this week's teaching by reading Matthew 7:1-6 with 2 Corinthians 5:11-21
Are you living as a true Kingdom citizen? See how to align your life with God's will, embrace His values, and stand out in a world that's not your home. Kindly listen now and be blessed. This was first aired on Radio HCI Today via the WeLove Radio App.
Kingdom Citizens live to reveal the love of the King
What do you know about the kingdom of God? One interesting and exciting insight is that it was the central teaching of Jesus. “From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.'” Matthew 4:17. Despite the kingdom of heaven (or God) being so central, many Christians have no idea of its significance. In this new sermon series called The Shift, we are going to look at the gospel of Matthew, who focused more on this subject than any of the other gospel writers. We will discover that the Kingdom of God is at odds with our world, and one of power, beauty and radical worth, ruled by Jesus Christ the King of all kings. Yet living under the rule of a king, even if it is God, strikes against our instincts. After all, we are Americans, liberated from the English Monarchs. What freedom awaits the Christian who begins to shift their focus and allegiance to live for the kingdom that endures forever. We begin by looking at the birth of the King of this kingdom and learn to sit at His feet as His disciples. Follow us as we follow the disciple Matthew who shows us the majesty of King Jesus and the radical life of living in His kingdom!

Very honored to have Dr. Sandra Richter on the podcast! Here are a few of the topics in this interview: Christians and a Biblical view of the environment Liminal Space - not there anymore, but not quite yet to the place we're going Epic of Eden - Deborah - newest study / book Tribal Families - significance of God the Father, brothers and sisters in the kingdom Kingdom Citizen surfaced as an overall theme in this interview. Quotes: “You can't take the Bible like a vitamin in the morning. You have to study and work with it. “The character of God is just as revealed in the book of Deuteronomy as in the New Testament.” “For American Christians, the goal is too often, ‘how do I make myself comfortable?' and that just isn't going to have power.” “Is it possible that we are so ingrained in politics that we are missing the voice of God?” “If you're serious about being a kingdom citizen, it's high time to join a small group or Sunday school class to get started in revival.” “Small groups, dedicated prayer, and getting serious about holy living are three triggers for the start to revival. Thanks again, Dr. Richter! --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/timprice/support
Kingdom Citizens!!! In this episode, we dive into the powerful story of Daniel and his 21-day fast. It's easy to empathize with Daniel, feeling as though our own prayers go unanswered or are delayed. But what if there's a deeper reason for Daniel's experience and why his story is shared with us? What if it's meant to reveal the reality of the spiritual realm and the forces that oppose God's plans and purposes for our lives? Daniel prayed and fasted for an answer. Though there was no immediate response, his persistence brought him not only the answer but also a profound revelation: his prayer was answered from the start, but spiritual forces were at work opposing the revelation of God's truths. What if the obstacles you face are actually opportunities for divine revelations? Revelation means “truth revealed” — God isn't trying to punish you or wear you out. He wants you to grasp a divine truth that will guide you through future seasons. So, don't be weary; be glad. Everything that God does is INTENTIONAL.
