A young geologist drilling four miles into a Rocky Mountain ridge breaks through into a sealed chamber and finds something impossible: a fully furnished modern house, twelve billion years old, holding a library that has already written the history of a world exactly like ours — including the volume that tells how it ends.Look for this podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeart Radio, Amazon Music, Pandora, TuneIn Radio, and other podcast apps. Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington react to the Oklahoma City Thunder being eliminated from the NBA Playoffs by the San Antonio Spurs — and the fallout could be massive. Parker goes all in, calling the loss a potential turning point in NBA history and arguing OKC’s dynasty hopes are officially dead. Meanwhile, Kelvin pushes back on the bigger picture, explaining why the league’s constant turnover of champions is a problem and why he wanted to see OKC get a real shot at building something lasting. Is this the end of a potential dynasty before it ever began? And is the NBA missing the dominance that once defined eras?See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Welcome to The Daily, where we study the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, every day. Get your Hosea Scripture Journal now. What if the greatest danger in your life isn't open rebellion, but quiet distance from God? Listen to our text today, Hosea 4:4-6a: Yet let no one contend, and let none accuse, for with you is my contention, O priest. You shall stumble by day; the prophet also shall stumble with you by night; and I will destroy your mother. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, — Hosea 4:4-6a God says, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." He does not say they are inconvenienced, distracted, or struggling. He says they are destroyed. And the cause is not a lack of resources or opportunity. It is a lack of knowledge. But this is not talking about information alone. The Hebrew idea behind this word points to real, personal, covenant knowledge. God is not accusing them of forgetting a few facts about him. He is saying they no longer know him as they should. The relationship has thinned. The truth has been neglected. What should have been living and personal has become distant and hollow. And notice this carefully: God says they rejected knowledge. This was not innocent ignorance. This was chosen distance and outright rejection. They had access to God's Word. They had priests. They had covenant history. But instead of receiving what God had revealed, they pushed it aside. They preferred other voices, other loves, and other ways of living. That is why this prophecy hits so hard. Destruction in our lives does not begin when we become openly wicked. It begins much earlier, when we stop pursuing the knowledge of God. That is when the drift begins. Truth grows thin. Conviction weakens. Sin becomes easier to justify. What once felt dangerous begins to feel normal. If your knowledge or relationship with God is shallow, your life will not stay strong for long. If you live on old truth, borrowed truth, or occasional truth, you will eventually feel the effects of it. You cannot neglect God privately and stay steady personally. So instead of fixing peripheral issues in your life, maybe it's time to address the relational issues with God. It might be time to address your intimacy. Take some time today to sit in God's presence. Sing to him. Pray to him. Sit quietly in his presence and merely listen to him. Get to know the Lord again, and not just more about him. DO THIS: Spend time in God's Word today with one aim: not just to learn something, but to know him more deeply. ASK THIS: Where has your knowledge of God become thin or secondhand? What habits are helping you know God more personally, and what habits are pulling you away? What is one step you need to take today to pursue God more intentionally? PRAY THIS: Father, keep me from drifting into distance from you. Deepen my knowledge of you and draw me into a living, faithful relationship with you. Amen. PLAY THIS: "The Secret Place"
A decade ago, a building in Portland's Nob Hill neighborhood exploded in a gas leak and was consumed by a fire soon after. That building was home to Portland Bagelworks and the eyewear shop Fetch, as well as Art Work Rebels Tattoo Studio, which was located in the building for seven years. Artist Jeff P, who now co-owns Tattoo Smile, was an artist at the shop when this happened. After the dust settled and rubble was sorted, much of the shop was lost, including memories, personal belongings and much of the hand drawn art and flash that many artists like Jeff created. But for Jeff, some of his work survived as digital scans and phone camera photos he captured as he documented his own work. Now, Jeff has released a book marking the anniversary of the explosion. "Everything That Burned” is a collection of scans and photos of his art and the shop after the fire. Jeff joins us to share more on his memories of the shop and his new book.

Send us Fan MailNothing shakes us faster than the feeling that something real just got threatened: our image, our relationships, our safety, our future. Today we take a single ACIM statement and push it all the way into lived experience: “The resurrection demonstrated that nothing can destroy truth.” If that is true, then what exactly are we defending, and what would it feel like to stop?We walk slowly through Chapter 3 Section 3 (paragraphs 8 to 9) and unpack why the Course says good can “withstand” evil, why light does not battle darkness, and why the atonement is presented as the perfect lesson that confirms every other teaching. Along the way we answer a listener question about the light and dark metaphor, offering a clean translation that keeps the teaching practical without turning it into a dualistic struggle. The heart of the episode is application. We explore the Course's “deductive approach” to healing: start with the general truth and apply it to every specific moment, instead of analyzing problems one by one. Then we move into the lived meaning of “commending your spirit into the hands of God” as a decision to drop self-authorship, let the mind awaken from the dream of separation, and remember its Creator. The result is not occasional calm, but the possibility of perfect integration and the reign of the peace of God.If this resonates, subscribe, share the episode with a friend who is tired of fighting their mind, and leave a review so more people can find these ACIM deep dives. What is one situation you are willing to reframe with “nothing can destroy truth”?Support the show

Both of Israel’s wars in Iran have been “strategic failures” and critically damaged the country’s deterrence, Danny Citrinowicz, a former top Iran expert in Israeli military intelligence, told the Haaretz Podcast. He cited a long list of missteps and misguided assumptions that led to the failure of the solo military operation in 2025 and the joint U.S. attack in February. “We overestimated air power and underestimated Iranian resilience,” Citrinowicz said, resulting in the “worst possible strategic reality, with a more extreme, decentralized regime in Tehran,” and heightened tensions with the U.S. – all while highlighting Israel’s dependence on the U.S. as a weakness. While Iran once feared an attack by Israel, he noted, its leaders have now learned that they can be attacked by the two strongest air forces in the world and emerge with its regime intact, as well as “the capacity to launch missiles and drones, and theoretically has the potential to move to a nuclear bomb.” Moreover, in a boomerang effect, he noted, wars launched to deter Iran’s nuclear program have likely intensified Tehran’s motivation to acquire nuclear capacity in order to prevent future attacks. In his conversation with podcast host Allison Kaplan Sommer, Citrinowicz – a researcher at the Institute for National Security Studies – also discussed the intensifying conflict with Hezbollah in Lebanon, and U.S. President Donald Trump’s continued belief that Saudi Arabia will soon join the Abraham Accords, which he called a hope “detached from reality.” Read more: Iran and U.S. Trade Air Strikes After Trump Dismisses Report of Hormuz Deal Trump's Iran Deal: Netanyahu's 2018 Dream Is The World's 2026 Nightmare Analysis | Israel Demands to Disarm Its Regional Enemies, but Refuses to Pay the Price Trump: Not Sure Iran Deal Possible Unless Saudis, Qatar Join Abraham Accords U.S. May Need Years to Rebuild Weapons Stockpiles Depleted in Iran War, Report SaysSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In a unanimous 3-0 decision in US v. California, a federal appeals court has enjoined California's "No Vigilantes Act," the state law designed to force ICE agents to wear visible identification during enforcement operations. The court didn't hedge or split hairs: when state law directly regulates the federal government's performance of its functions, the Supremacy Clause voids it — full stop. This is a stinging rebuke of Governor Gavin Newsom's deliberate strategy to obstruct federal immigration enforcement through legislation. The panel, authored by Trump-appointee Judge Mark Bennett, rejected California's public safety fig leaf outright, ruling that constitutional supremacy isn't subject to a balancing test. "The Supremacy Clause forbids the State from enforcing such legislation." Done. This is the second blow to California's anti-ICE legal campaign in two months — and another courtroom victory for the Trump administration. The Constitution is not a menu from which ambitious governors get to order selectively. Today, the 9th Circuit made sure Newsom knows it.Join me LIVE at 11 AM ET as I break it all down!Episode #1301.

Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary
According to the defense's appellate filings, a man connected to Abby Williams admitted in a police interview to practicing pagan rituals that included animal sacrifice and human bloodletting. He told them he owned a .40 caliber firearm. Officers never collected the weapon. The Delphi Police erased the only recording of his interview. His work alibi was based on a badge swipe that officers refused to confirm with video his employer offered to share. He was marked "cleared." For years afterward, tipsters called in reporting his social media posts — images of young girls appearing deceased with sticks over their bodies. An ISP Trooper found alarming similarities to the Delphi crime scene and urged his superiors to investigate further. They refused. The suspect's associate, a self-described leader of a local pagan group, told officers he knew the murder woods "very well." That interview was never recorded. His alibi went entirely unchecked for over six years. According to the defense filings, the first suspect told his wife in 2018 that his associate killed Abby "with others" and told her to keep quiet. Neither man has been charged with any crime connected to these murders. The trial court excluded all of this from the jury. This episode walks through every ignored lead, every destroyed record, and every decision that waved these suspects through while Abby and Libby waited for someone to do the work.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Dr Paul Saladino reacts to new comments from Jordan Peterson's wife describing him as living in “another realm of pain” from benzodiazepine injury years after first being prescribed the drug for severe anxiety and autoimmune‑driven insomnia. He explains how benzos like Xanax, clonazepam and Valium act on GABA receptors in ways similar to alcohol, why withdrawal can be medically dangerous, and how long term use may leave lasting changes in the brain that are extremely hard to reverse.
Dr Paul Saladino breaks down the rise of looksmaxxing, from jaw surgery to face smashing and mega TRT cycles promoted by influencers like Clavicular, who reportedly has run 300 to 400 milligrams of testosterone a week since his mid teens.
Over the past century, attitudes about gender roles have become one of the clearest dividing lines in the country. Many Republicans, both men and women, say men are getting a raw deal in modern America. Many Democrats see that claim as completely off base. So where does that split come from, and why has it become so central to politics? Journalist Helen Lewis calls this emerging worldview “masculinism,” an ideology that pushes back against feminism and reflects a broader nostalgia for traditional gender roles. Today, Lewis joins Derek to talk about the rise of this phenomenon and what it reveals about the growing schism in American politics. More To The Story: When Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, went looking for government agencies to axe last year, one of its first targets was the US Agency for International Development. Established during the Cold War to counter Soviet influence, USAID spent billions of dollars on food aid, public health, and emergency relief for some of the world's most vulnerable populations. In return, the US hoped to gain allies and goodwill. Call it a decades-long exercise in soft power. But since President Donald Trump returned to office, soft power is out. And so is USAID, which has been slashed and reorganized. The Trump administration is trying to close the agency altogether by September. This has led to some horrific consequences for the people who relied on USAID to survive. On this week's More To The Story, ProPublica's Anna Maria Barry-Jester and Brett Murphy join host Al Letson to talk about their on-the-ground reporting from Africa and how the Trump administration's aid cuts are leading to devastating, even deadly, consequences.Producer: Josh Sanburn | Editor: Kara McGuirk-Allison | Theme music: Fernando Arruda and Jim Briggs | Copy editor: Nikki Frick | Digital producer: Artis Curiskis | Deputy executive producer: Taki Telonidis | Executive producer: Brett Myers | Executive editor: James West | Host: Al LetsonRead: Russell Vought Raided USAID Budgets He Helped Gut to Pay for His Own Security (Mother Jones)Listen: How Project 2025 Is Reshaping Our Country (More To The Story)Read: Trump Officials Celebrated With Cake After Slashing Aid. Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary
Becky Hill wasn't some rogue spectator who wandered into a courtroom. She was the elected Clerk of Court in Colleton County — chosen by the same community that filled the jury pool, entrusted with managing the evidence and protecting the process. And according to the SC Supreme Court's unanimous ruling, she used that position of trust to push Alex Murdaugh's jury toward a guilty verdict so she could sell more copies of a book she was writing.Tony Brueski walks through what Hill did, why it mattered legally, and how one person's ambition forced the state to erase a double murder conviction. The justices called her conduct breathtaking and disgraceful. They said she placed her fingers on the scales of justice. They found she told jurors not to be fooled by the defense and urged them to watch Murdaugh's body language — coded instructions to distrust the defendant before deliberations began. The ruling turned on a legal distinction between two different standards. The lower court asked whether the defense could prove Hill's comments changed the verdict. The Supreme Court asked whether the state could prove they didn't. That shift — from defense burden to state burden — is what overturned two murder convictions and two life sentences. Hill's interference was so severe it triggered an automatic presumption that the trial was unfair.Hill's criminal case only reinforced what the court found. She pled guilty to perjury, obstruction, and misconduct. She got probation for conduct that will cost the state millions. Her co-author halted the book over plagiarism concerns. The publication that was supposed to be her legacy never materialized. What did materialize is a Supreme Court opinion that will define her name permanently.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? The SC Supreme Court used language it has never applied to a South Carolina court official: unprecedented, breathtaking, disgraceful. All directed at Becky Hill, the elected Clerk of Court in Colleton County who was supposed to protect the integrity of Alex Murdaugh's double murder trial. Instead, she weaponized her authority over the jury to push toward a guilty verdict — because she was writing a book and needed a dramatic conviction to sell it.This episode traces Hill's conduct from the courtroom to the criminal courtroom where she pled guilty. The Supreme Court found she told jurors not to be confused by the defense and urged them to watch Murdaugh's body language. She turned herself into a witness for the prosecution without anyone's knowledge — the interference happened outside the awareness of the judge and both legal teams. The distinction that mattered was legal but its impact was total. The lower court put the burden on the defense to prove Hill's comments changed the verdict. The Supreme Court said her conduct was so severe that the burden shifted to the state to prove it was harmless. The state failed. Two murder convictions, two life sentences — erased.Hill's co-author halted publication after discovering what he characterized as plagiarism. She pled guilty to four criminal charges and got probation. A state ethics panel previously found she had acted improperly dozens of times during her career. The Murdaugh trial wasn't a one-time lapse. It was the biggest stage for a pattern of behavior that finally caught up with her. The families of Maggie and Paul Murdaugh will now endure a second trial because one elected official decided her personal ambitions outweighed her oath of office.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? On today's episode of The Therapy Crouch, Abbey and Peter are still living their best lives in Portugal… although Pete's ego may have taken a slight battering after a disastrous mixed doubles tennis tournament against a group of senior citizens who absolutely wiped the floor with him. Abbey wastes no time exposing exactly what went wrong, including Pete's “respectful” approach that spectacularly backfired. The couple also dive into one of the biggest causes of relationship tension — diary planning. From golf days and family logistics to who really controls the calendar at home, Abbey explains why every single plan now has to go through Claire before marital chaos erupts. Plus, the gang discuss relationship “icks”, going upstairs two at a time, hobbies couples should definitely keep separate, and whether Oasis officially counts as “Dad Rock”.Elsewhere, Abbey reveals her surprising obsession with David Beckham's vegetable garden and chickens, Peter reminisces about Oasis nostalgia and Desert Island albums, and the team debate what books and music they'd take if stranded forever. There's also talk of reality TV habits, holiday advice, and why some things are simply better enjoyed without your partner.00:00 Portugal Detox & Party Recovery 01:14 Peter Gets Humbled At Tennis 03:00 “Consistency Is Key In Tennis” 04:31 Ross Update & Listener Messages 04:58 Abbey Hates Seeing Pete Lose 05:26 Abbey's Fear Of Tennis Lessons 06:27 Abbey Opens Up About Childhood & Sport 07:20 Abbey vs Peter: Ultimate Sports Day 08:31 The Couple Argument Everyone Has 10:11 Abbey's Strict Family Diary System 12:03 Why Busy Couples Always Clash 12:49 The Weirdest Relationship Ick 13:28 Running Up Stairs Debate 15:14 Abbey Reveals Her Biggest Insecurity 15:45 Abbey Discovers A “Normal” Listener 16:26 Abbey's Celebrity Lookalike Debate 18:05 Couples Sharing Hobbies Goes Wrong 19:14 TV Shows They Refuse To Watch Together 20:37 Hunger Games & Comfort Movies 21:39 The Best Holiday Advice Ever 22:52 Tail's.com Ad Read 24:28 Desert Island Dilemmas Begin 25:35 The One Book They'd Save Forever 27:31 Roald Dahl & Childhood Reading Memories 28:07 Abbey's Disturbing Book Confession 30:15 The Secret To Getting Kids Reading 30:55 Desert Island Albums 31:41 Oasis, Nostalgia & Dad Rock Arguments 34:04 Abbey's Beckham Garden Obsession 35:34 Doomscrolling & “Ignorance Is Bliss” 36:19 Peter's James Bond Fantasy Life 36:40 Peter's Visit To Eton 37:49 Inside Eton's Incredible Traditions 39:15 What Makes Privileged Kids Different? 41:02 The Reality Of Elite Schools 42:40 The Team Debate Luxury & Success 44:18 What They'd Actually Miss On A Desert Island 46:03 Desert Island Guilty Pleasures 47:51 Holiday Packing Essentials 49:20 Things Couples Secretly Judge Each Other For 51:08 Their Most Addictive Habits 52:44 Listener Dilemmas Return 54:33 Final Portugal Reflections 56:17 EndTo contact us:Email: thetherapycrouch@gmail.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/thetherapycrouchpodcast/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@thetherapycrouchWebsite: https://thetherapycrouch.com/For more from Peterhttps://twitter.com/petercrouchFor more from Abbeyhttps://www.instagram.com/abbeyclancyOur clips channelhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZntcv96YhN8IvMAKsz4Dbg Hosted on Acast. DL kicks off the Verse Chorus Verse Radiohead series with the first two albums — solo, no Evil, no Rachel, just a man and his favorite band.Pablo Honey (1992) gets a 7/10. It's a gateway drug, not a masterpiece — a Brit rock album from the early 90s that happens to contain one of the most important songs ever recorded. The story behind Creep: recorded in one take, initially hated by the band, ignored until Arsenio Hall found the tape in his car, made enormous by a Beavis and Butt-Head segment. Top songs: Creep, Rip Chord, You.The Bends (1995) gets a 9/10 and a full reassessment — DL argues this album is massively underrated and better than he'd ever given it credit for. Jonny Greenwood's octatonic guitar work on "Just" (inspired by an obscure French composer), the story of EMI threatening to drop them after Pablo Honey, Tom York's stage breakdown and the NME calling it a "temper tantrum," and why Fake Plastic Trees is great even if it's not a personal favorite. Top songs: Just, My Iron Lung, Bulletproof I Wish I Was.Part 1 of a 6-episode Radiohead dissection series. OK Computer with Rachel and Evil is next.

Merger Blocked by Antitrust Action: JetBlue offered $3.8 billion to acquire Spirit in 2022. Shareholders, unions, and both companies supported the merger. The DOJ and Department of Transportation, urged by Elizabeth Warren and supported by Buttigieg and Biden, sued to stop it. A federal judge blocked the merger in January 2024. Consequences Claimed: Spirit declared bankruptcy and shut down, leading to: ~17,000 direct job losses Estimated 40,000+ indirect jobs affected Loss of service to dozens of smaller cities Reduced airline competition and higher fares on former Spirit routes (examples cited include increases of 15–66%). Critique of Antitrust Reasoning: Speakers argue antitrust law should protect consumers, not competitors. They claim the DOJ incorrectly defined the market as “ultra‑low‑cost airlines” instead of the broader airline market, making Spirit and JetBlue appear dominant when they were actually small players. They assert the decision strengthened the Big Four airlines (American, Delta, United, Southwest), which already control ~75–80% of the market. Rebuttal to Alternative Explanations: Democrats are criticized for blaming Spirit’s failure on fuel price increases or Trump-era policies. The speakers argue fuel price volatility affects all airlines and that Spirit would have been better positioned to withstand it with the merger funds. Internal Democratic Dissent: A Biden White House policy official publicly questioned whether blocking the merger was the right decision, though later softened the statement—used as evidence of internal doubts. Government Bailout Rejected: A proposed $500M government bailout (for 90% ownership) was discussed but rejected. The speakers strongly oppose government ownership of airlines, labeling it socialism and economically incompetent. Broader Ideological Argument: The collapse is framed as an example of government overreach, poor understanding of business, and ideological decision-making harming workers and consumers. The episode is used to argue that free‑market competition—not government control—is essential to lower prices and innovation. Please Hit Subscribe to this podcast Right Now.
