What does it really mean to live radically for Jesus? Madi and Grant are back with another episode of Stay True Podcast! This week, they are joined by pastor, author, and missionary David Platt at the Museum of the Bible for a powerful and convicting conversation about what it looks like to live on mission every day: from your neighborhood to the nations. So many of us have shaped the Gospel to fit our cultural preferences by chasing the American dream instead of taking up our cross. But Jesus calls us to something far greater. Together, Madi, Grant, and David talk about what it looks like to leave behind security, convenience, and comfort for the sake of the Gospel and how to live a life that actually reflects what Jesus said His followers would do. This episode challenges you to live set apart, to share the hope of Jesus boldly, and to count the cost of true discipleship. Because following Jesus isn't about fitting in... it's about being transformed and living for what truly matters. Always stay you and stay true! Questions/topics discussed and answered: • What does it really mean to live a "radical" life for Jesus? • How do we fight the pull towards cultural Christianity? • What is the difference between the American Gospel and the Biblical Gospel? • Does every Christian need to go overseas to be a missionary? • What does it mean to be a true follower of Jesus?

It probably has one of the most iconic musical themes of any show on television and it does address stories "ripped from the headlines" but does Law and Order SVU show a realistic view of what happens when someone is sexually assaulted? That is just one topic discussed on this week's episode that takes a broader view of how the justice system fails survivors and what my guests are doing to change through trauma informed education. If you listened to last week's episode you heard the story of Madi Smith that was featured in the documentary "Loud Enough Surviving Justice." This week's episode continues the conversation and delves into how the justice system failed Madi and continues to fail other survivors of sexual assault, and what is being done by my guests Julie Germann and Justin Boardman --who were featured in the documentary--to change that. Director Hilary Klotz Steinman joins me again on this episode as she is the one who connected us all and is the one who is bringing this all to light in her documentary. To learn more about the work Julie is doing and to bring her training to your organization, visit her business website Finding the Right. Welcome back to another episode of Stay True Podcast! This week, Madi and Grant sit down with Pastor Tim Timberlake, author, speaker, and lead pastor of Celebration Church, for a powerful and honest conversation about pain, purpose, and how God uses our hardest seasons to shape us. Together, they dive deep into what it means to trust God when life hurts: when the delay feels endless, the prayers seem unanswered, and the pain feels bigger than the purpose. This episode is for anyone walking through something hard (the heartbreak, the waiting, or the silence) and wondering if God is still working. We pray this podcast reminds you that pain is never wasted in God's hands. He's present in the heartbreak, He's shaping purpose through the process, and He's writing beauty into every broken place. Always stay you and stay true! Questions/topics discussed and answered: • How do you trust God's timing when life feels delayed? • How can God use pain to prepare you for purpose? • Why does God sometimes allow long seasons of waiting or difficulty? • How do you keep praying and believing when nothing seems to change? • How can gratitude and joy exist even in the middle of pain? When the system fails you, what do you do? I believe many of us are experiencing system failures in a variety of areas of life these days so we can relate. This week my incredibly brave and strong guests stood up when the justice system failed a young woman who was violently sexually assaulted in Kansas. In this episode you will hear from Hilary Klotz Steinman, the director of the powerful documentary "Loud Enough, Surviving Justice" that tells the story of my other fabulous guests: Madi Smith and her mother Mandy Smith. What began as a romantic encounter between two people who knew one another turned into a violent sexual assault. When the justice system failed Madi, she--along with the support of her parents and a few other advocates--fought to get her power and peace back. Be sure to tune in next week when director Hilary returns with two other guests who also played key roles in this case and in the documentary. In next week's episode, we explore the involvement of law enforcement, their treatment of women who have survived sexual assault and what needs to change. In the latest installment of my re-interview subseries, We Meet Again, we get to chat for a second time with luminous, talented, and hilarious Madi Diaz. Madi just put out a brand new LP called Fatal Optimist, and we definitely deep into it in this chat. We talk about what led to this record being so spare and stripped back, the magic of demos, the effect of space on sound, and more. We also get into her "heartbreak trilogy," her experience earning two Grammy nominations for her last record Weird Faith, and her utter relentlessness - as an artist, as a writer, and as a curious human. I always have immense fun talking with Madi, and this talk is a blast. I hope you enjoy. Thanks for listening.

Hiring the right people shouldn't feel like gambling with your time, money, and peace of mind. Yet for many founders, it often does. The problem isn't a lack of good talent; it's the absence of a clear and intentional structure behind the hiring process. Without it, even the most well-meaning entrepreneurs end up hiring reactively instead of strategically. In this episode of Sales is Not a Dirty Word, Aleasha Bahr sits down with Madi Wagonner, founder of Building Remote, to explore what it really takes to build a hiring system that consistently attracts self-driven, resourceful people who take ownership and contribute real value. Madi is known for helping entrepreneurs “fire themselves” from day-to-day operations so they can focus on higher-level leadership, growth, and the work that fuels them. Her approach to hiring and onboarding doesn't just fill empty seats. It builds alignment, loyalty, and a shared sense of purpose that keeps teams performing long after the honeymoon phase ends. You'll learn: ✔ Why most hiring failures happen before the first interview even begins ✔ How to write job descriptions that filter for the right people and naturally repel the wrong ones ✔ The 4–6 week hiring process that turns uncertainty into confident decision-making ✔ The onboarding method that creates motivation, ownership, and trust from day one ✔ How to recognize candidates who are resourceful, adaptable, and aligned with your company's vision ✔ Why approaching hiring like a sales process helps you attract, not chase, top talent If you've ever felt drained by bad hires, or caught yourself thinking, “No one can do it like I do,” this conversation will challenge that mindset and give you a roadmap for doing it differently. With the right structure, you can build a team that not only supports your business but grows with it.
Madi "Cookie" Fields speaks on times in her life when she learned to always have faith in God, even in times of struggle and doubts.

And in this conversation, Madi and Grant unpack how prayer strengthens faith, builds intimacy with the Lord, and shapes the way we live day to day. You'll walk away reminded that prayer doesn't have to feel complicated or intimidating, but it is powerful, essential, and life-changing. Always stay you and stay true! Questions/topics discussed and answered: • How do I pray? • Why is prayer so important? • How do I fast? • What does it look like to pray when you don't know what to say? • Practical ways to build a consistent prayer life AND SO MUCH MORE!
