Learn how a busy parent finished a novel by following a clear roadmap that made it possible to pause, return, and keep moving forward.Between raising four kids, navigating pregnancy and newborn life, and juggling everything that comes with being a busy parent, Madi didn't exactly have ideal writing conditions. And yet, she finished her novel. In today's episode, I'm sitting down with Madi, a former Notes to Novel student, to talk about what it actually looked like to write a book in the middle of real life. She didn't have unlimited time or perfect routines. What she had was a clear plan, realistic expectations, and a way to keep moving forward even when progress felt slow.Madi shares the mindset shifts that helped her stop waiting for the right time, how outlining gave her momentum instead of boxing her in, and why having a process made it possible to pause without quitting when life demanded her attention. If you've ever wanted to write and finish your novel but feel too busy right now, this conversation is for you. Here's what we cover:[05:15] The mindset shift that helped Madi stop treating her novel like a hobby and start making real progress toward a finished draft[09:00] How outlining gave Madi clarity and confidence without killing creativity or locking her into a rigid plot structure[07:15] What writing a novel looked like during pregnancy, newborn life, and four kids—plus the simple routine that kept her moving forward[14:50] The step-by-step editing process that turned Madi's first draft into a contest finalist manuscript without burnout[24:15] How Madi went from querying literary agents to landing her dream agent at a top Christian Fiction agencyIf you're craving proof that it's possible to write a novel alongside a full, busy life, Madi's story will show you exactly what that can look like.
As we look toward the new year, it's the perfect time to look at how to make lasting change. In this episode, host Paula Felps sits down with Madi Murphy — author of In the Cosmic Zone and host of the CosmicRX Podcast — to explore how astrology, neuroscience, spirituality, and practical tools can help us ignite our purpose as we step into a new year. Madi shares her personal journey of transformation, the lessons she's learned from leaving her comfort zone, and how we can all activate our purpose rather than simply search for it. In this episode, you'll learn: Why leaving your comfort zone is essential for growth — and how to recognize when it's time. How to activate your purpose through alignment, rather than waiting to “discover” it. Practical tools and mindset practices to overcome blocks and live in flow more often.

Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960)

Have you ever thought about starting a product-based business? Maybe you've wondered what it would take to get a product into stores, scale it into a household name, or if you should add products to your existing service-based business.Today I'm sitting down with Madison Page, who has helped brands go from a few thousand dollars a month on Etsy all the way to landing in major retailers like Anthropologie. Madi breaks down the real difference between having a small business versus building an actual brand, startup costs, manufacturing versus handmade, and why some product businesses scale infinitely while others plateau. We're diving into case studies like Coach (who 4x'd their stock price in two years), Liquid Death, and Scrub Daddy. Madi also shares why she's seen clients with 100,000 followers struggle to make $3,000 a month while others with 2,500 followers consistently pull in $10,000 to $15,000 monthly. The difference? You do not have to go to a mountaintop to find yourself. The cosmic zone is already within you. In this episode, I sit down with intuitive astrologer and Cosmic RX founder Madi Murphy for a conversation that feels like a homecoming. We talk about the moment astrology became the lifeline that pulled her out of a life that no longer fit, the spiritual signs that showed up when everything was falling apart, and how reconnecting with her chart gave her the language she had been searching for since childhood. Madi shares the story of losing herself inside an old identity, calling off a wedding, walking away from a career that drained her, and finding her way back through the map written in the stars. We explore the clarity astrology offers, the belonging it restores, and the way it reflects the parts of us we learned to hide in order to survive. If you have ever felt lost or disconnected, this conversation will remind you that your soul is already leading you home and astrology simply illuminates the path. What does it really mean to live radically for Jesus? Madi and Grant are back with another episode of Stay True Podcast! This week, they are joined by pastor, author, and missionary David Platt at the Museum of the Bible for a powerful and convicting conversation about what it looks like to live on mission every day: from your neighborhood to the nations. Together, Madi, Grant, and David talk about what it looks like to leave behind security, convenience, and comfort for the sake of the Gospel and how to live a life that actually reflects what Jesus said His followers would do. Because following Jesus isn't about fitting in... it's about being transformed and living for what truly matters. Always stay you and stay true! Questions/topics discussed and answered: • What does it really mean to live a "radical" life for Jesus? • How do we fight the pull towards cultural Christianity? • What is the difference between the American Gospel and the Biblical Gospel? • Does every Christian need to go overseas to be a missionary? • What does it mean to be a true follower of Jesus?
