The promise given to Abraham, the multitude envisioned in Revelation, the message proclaimed in Romans, and the Church commissioned in Acts all converge at this moment. The risen King sends. The Spirit empowers. The church goes. The book of Acts ends without a formal conclusion because the narrative is not complete. The movement did not stop in Jerusalem, Antioch, or Rome. It has continued through generations of believers, and it continues still. The question before the church is not whether God has a mission. It is whether His people will embrace their mandate—because the King reigns, the Spirit empowers, the gospel saves, and the movement continues.

Relationships are among God's greatest gifts, yet they also require wisdom to flourish. Proverbs 18:22-24 highlights both the blessing and the responsibility woven into companionship. A godly spouse is described as a gift from the LORD, a reflection of divine favor rather than mere chance. At the same time, friendships are shown to vary in depth—some remain superficial, while others prove steadfast in adversity. This passage reminds us that relationships are not accidental attachments but sacred trusts that call for discernment, gratitude, and intentional care.

Over the past two weeks, the concept of being “Sent” through understanding how God's Mission informs Our Mandate has been explored. First, it was seen that missions originate in the heart of God, as seen in Gen 12:1-3 and Rev 7:9-10. Secondly, it was seen that the message we carry is a responsibility specifically entrusted to God's people, as seen in Rom 10:8-17. Today, the Means God Uses to implement His mission from His heart to man, for the purpose of man faithfully conveying the message of God to a lost and dying world will be explored through the concept of being separated by God to that purpose as seen in Galatians 1:13-24.

Few things reveal the power of wisdom more clearly than the words we speak. Proverbs 18:16-21 unfolds a sober reminder that speech is never small or insignificant. Words can open doors of opportunity, settle conflicts, strengthen relationships, or ignite division and destruction. The tongue carries extraordinary influence, shaping reputations, directing outcomes, and leaving lasting impressions on the hearts of others. In a handful of verses, this passage calls us to see speech not as a casual expression but as a stewardship entrusted to us by God.

Within the framework of the series Sent: God's Mission, Our Mandate, this passage clarifies the responsibility entrusted to God's people.
