New "Kahnversations" Podcast with Casting Director Sara Isaacson! Sara Isaacson was born in Chicago, Illinois, USA. She is known for her work on Law & Order True Crime (2017), Bates Motel (2013) and Manifest (2018). Click Here To Listen! There are so many inspiring podcasts with fabulous stars out there. But their careers feel light years away from ours, don’t they? Wouldn’t it be great to hear from the guy who just booked his first pilot? Or the kid finally doing a studio pic after a bunch of low budget indies? Or the woman who’s been a series regular a few times but is only now becoming a name? What about the guy who’s been on a show for years and you know his face but what’shisnameagain? Or that actress who is now a freakin’ showrunner???? How’d THEY do it, right? How did they transition from relative obscurity, bartending and bottle service, to buying that house in Brentwood? We’re producing “Kahnversations,” a podcast that provides access to THOSE people -- your immediate predecessors -- so that you can learn from them while their battle scars are still fresh. In “Kahnversations,” our own Ryan Bailey interviews some of Lesly Kahn & Company’s working actors, directors, and writers in order to learn how they got started in Hollywood, the challenges and hurdles they faced, and how they overcame the odds. (They also dish out some crazy stories!) Listen in and enjoy as these entertainers speak candidly about their paths, processes, and experiences. You might even hear a bit about how Lesly and the Kahnstitute have influenced and shaped their careers.

Ryan Turek is at Sundance these next two weeks, so hosts Rob Galluzzo, Rebekah McKendry and Elric Kane carry on and catch up on all the latest horrors! Both Elric and Rob talk about their "PIECES" party with MTV's SCREAM cast members John Karna and Carlson Young, who got to witness J.Piquer Simon cult classic PIECES for their first time. It was doubled up with the rare VHS "slasher" EDGE OF THE AXE! Bekah talks about THE SIMILARS and MERMAID IN A MANHOLE. Rob checked out Scream Factory's new POLTERGEIST II: THE OTHER SIDE Blu-Ray, Arrow's HELLRAISER Scarlet Box and AMERICAN PSYCHO. Elric reports back on VIRAL, BEGOTTEN and the New Beverly Cinema's Dario Argento all-nighter, which included all of the masters seminal works! Then the gang welcome on to the show director Jackie Kong! She rarely gives interviews, so it was our humble honor to have her stop by in the middle of her tour for the BLOOD DINER re-release. In our candid chat, she talks about her films THE BEING, NIGHT PATROL and BLOOD DINER, the challenges of finding opportunities for female directors and a bit about her humble beginnings, including a friendship with the great Marlon Brando who bought her her first 16mm camera! She also calls out the modern crop of horror shows from THE WALKING DEAD to SCREAM QUEENS to ASH VS EVIL DEAD for not having enough female directors behind the camera for their episodes. Check out our fun, candid and revealing interview with Jackie Kong! As Elric said after first seeing THE BEING, "Kong Is King."
In part 2 of episode 26, the Shock Waves crew are thrilled to welcome to the show very special guest John Karna, who plays Noah on MTV's SCREAM: THE TV SERIES! Over the course of 2 seasons and a Halloween special, Noah is to the TV series what Randy Meeks (Jamie Kennedy) was to the SCREAM movie franchise; the movie savvy horror nerd that knows all the rules and has seen all the genre flicks! He's quickly become a fan favorite, and now we get to delve deep into the workings of the show! John admits to being a listener to both Killer POV and Shock Waves and that it helped in his research for the character of Noah. He tells us about the audition process, the many changes that happened in both seasons while they were shooting, his recollections of watching the original SCREAM and much, much more. If you're a fan of the show, this is the podcast for you!
They're baaaaack. On this VERY SPECIAL EPISODE of DO YOU LIKE SCARY PODCASTS?, John and Kaitlin explore a *new new* mystery with the rest of the Lakewood crew and are introduced to YET ANOTHER leather jacket-wearing love interest, super boring Brooke/Sketch drama, and a serial killer who prefers to murder in the nude, because sure, okay, MTV.
In this week's episode, Matt dares to ask JP what's on his mind after he had already The Matrix trilogy and binge-watched MTV's Scream series. Matt and JP discuss story structure and how it applies to reality and our lives, drawing a lot from The Matrix and Scream. Father Chuck is absent for this episode, so they didn't get into whether we're actually living in a simulation or not (sorry Chuck fans). Pour yourself a Pumpkin Spice latte and enjoy the first episode of October! Join hosts Rob Galluzzo, Elric Kane, Rebekah McKendry and Ryan Turek as they catch up on all the latest horrors! First up, Elric checked out the 80's "slasher" flick GIRLS NITE OUT, EMBRACE OF THE SERPENT, DARLING and THE GREASY STRANGLER. Bekah caught SOUTHBOUND and talks TV with SLASHER and MTV's SCREAM. Ryan survived the MARDI GRAS MASSACRE, as well as cult classics THE GATE and THE LOST BOYS. Rob got a sneak peek at THE 6TH FRIEND and plays a snippet from the recently released soundtrack to MONTAUK CHRONICLES. The group then welcome very special guests Joshua Miller and Mark Fortin, the screenwriters behind 2015's THE FINAL GIRLS to the show. We delve into their earliest experiences in the horror genre. For Miller, it was seeing his father in THE EXORCIST as Father Karras, and starring in movies like NEAR DARK & RIVER'S EDGE. The two delve into why they love horror, how they met and partnered up, as well as maneuvering themselves in Hollywood as writers & creators on such TV shows as QUEEN OF THE SOUTH. A lot of ground is covered in this lengthy, candid chat! Sit back, relax and join the conversation.

Oh, well hello there! Welcome to the 42nd installment of Stacey's Pop Culture Parlour; the podcast that always promises cake and rarely delivers! Joining Stacey in The Parlour (read: her kitchen) this month is none other than the man that introduced Stacey to comics, her husband and fellow nerd, Rich!Somehow, the pair discuss an absolute TON of stuff in what is possibly the shortest episode of The Parlour to date, including their thoughts on Image Comics' The Beauty, MTV's Scream series, Marvel's Ant-Man and loads more. Also included in this episode is a genuine please for help regarding The Walking Dead (with an open letter from Stacey to Robert Kirkman), Rich's rant on Secret Wars and DC's new non-continuity madness, and the pairs reaction to the first two episodes of Documentary Now. All this plus Fant4stic, Wet Hot American Summer, and Stacey yet again losing her mind over the sheer awesomeness that is Rick and Morty.ENJOY!Episode Theme - 'Empty Head' by Screaming FemalesEnd Theme - 'Do You Feel It?' by Chaos ChaosVOTE FOR ME!
