Kuulijakysymysten vastailun lomassa kaksikko sai valmiiksi Inssi-Divarin ensimmäisen Superfinaalin miellekartan. Kelpaako piste? -podcast on yleisön pyynnöstä alkunsa saanut, Suomen toiseksi korkeinta sarjatasoa Inssi-Divaria käsittelevä podcast. Jo toiselle kaudelle edenneen podcastin vakiojäseninä toimii kolme Inssi-Divarin persoonaa: Severi Hopsu, Atte Silvennoinen sekä Niklas Niemi yhdessä vaihtuvien vieraiden kanssa. Jakson tuotannosta on vastannut kolmikko itse. Löydät jakson myös Spotifysta ja Itunesista.

fWotD Episode 2891: 1982 British Army Gazelle friendly fire incident Welcome to Featured Wiki of the Day, your daily dose of knowledge from Wikipedia’s finest articles. The featured article for Friday, 4 April 2025 is 1982 British Army Gazelle friendly fire incident. On 6 June 1982, during the Falklands War, the British Royal Navy Type 42 destroyer HMS Cardiff engaged and destroyed a British Army Westland Gazelle helicopter, serial number XX377, in a friendly fire incident, killing all four occupants. Cardiff, on the lookout for aircraft flying supplies to the Argentine forces occupying the Falkland Islands, had misidentified the helicopter as an enemy Lockheed C-130 Hercules. Although the helicopter's loss was initially blamed on enemy action, a subsequent inquiry found Cardiff's missile to be the cause. On the night of 5 June, HMS Cardiff was stationed to the east of the islands to provide gunfire support to the land forces and intercept enemy aircraft. At around 02:00 a radar contact was detected; a British Army Air Corps Westland Gazelle helicopter was making a routine delivery of personnel and equipment to a radio rebroadcast station on East Falkland. From the contact's speed and course, Cardiff's operations room crew assumed it to be hostile. One Sea Dart missile was fired, missing the target. A second destroyed it. The Gazelle's wreckage and crew were discovered the next morning, and the loss was attributed to enemy fire. Although Cardiff was suspected, later scientific tests on the wreckage proved inconclusive. No formal inquiry was held until four years later. Defending their claim that the helicopter had been lost in action, the United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence (MoD) stated that they had not wanted to "cause further anguish to relatives" while they were still trying to ascertain how the Gazelle had been shot down. The board of inquiry finally confirmed that the soldiers died due to friendly fire. It recommended that "neither negligence nor blame should be attributed to any individual", but identified several factors. A lack of communication between the army and the navy meant that 5th Infantry Brigade had not notified anyone of the helicopter's flight. The navy had not informed the land forces that Cardiff had changed position to set up an ambush for Argentine aircraft travelling over the area. The helicopter's identification friend or foe (IFF) transmitter was turned off, because it caused interference with the army's Rapier anti-aircraft missile system. The board of inquiry's findings prompted criticism of the MoD's initial response to the incident. This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 00:36 UTC on Friday, 4 April 2025.For the full current version of the article, see 1982 British Army Gazelle friendly fire incident on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Mastodon at @wikioftheday@masto.ai.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm generative Amy.

Today's episode is empowerment for the soul as we are joined by THE Kerry Washington.   Kerry hit the big time playing the political fixer Olivia Pope in ‘Scandal' (IfF you haven't watched it yet it is truly one of the greatest TV shows ever) alongside roles in the movie, ‘Django Unchained' where she starred alongside Jamie Foxx and Leonardo DiCcaprio, and the epic TV show 'Little Fires Everywhere' with Reese Witherspoon.  Now Kerry has us standing to attention in the Netflix movie, ‘The Six Triple Eight' which brings the real life story of World War Two's only Women's Army Corps unit of colour, who were given the seemingly impossible task of sorting through a three-year backlog of mail that hadn't been delivered to American soldiers. In the face of discrimination, Kerry's real life character Major Charity Adams ensured they delivered hope when no one else could and the movie serves YOU the hope we all need right now.  Today Kerry talks about the gender double standards in leadership and the transformative power of inclusive leadership after being told by a male co-star, “you aren't here to think,” earlier in her career. Plus aside from serving us so many life lessons she shares the moment she felt so satisfied by proving people wrong.  Listening to Kerry is like being an incubator of empowerment so I hope she inspires you to see the hurdles in front of you, and jump right over them, just like she has done! Today on the Life On Purpose Podcast I talk about the idea and the importance of remembering. And the scripture that immediately comes to mind when thinking about remembering is Psalm 46:10, which is be still and know that I am God. It's easy for us to forget when God showed up in the past, especially when we weren't feeling it. We get caught up in our present circumstance and forget what he has already brought us through. Yet, there is great significance in remembering. Iff we can learn to pause in a difficult season to remember what he's already done in a prior challenging time in our life, then we can have the confidence to move forward on the situation that we're dealing with at the moment. Apple's WWDC is just hours away, and we're gearing up for big announcements on – you guessed it – AI. We're kicking off  today's episode of Equity with a list of what we can (and can't) expect from the highly anticipated developer conference. But that's not all we talked about this morning. Becca Szkutak also took a look at Byju's alarming valuation drop. The Indian edtech giant, once valued at $22 billion, might now be worth nothing according to BlackRock. The news may not come as a surprise given the rocky year Byju's has had, but as Manish Sing put it, its journey stands to be one of the most “spectacular startup slides in recent memory.”To close out, we had news of a new fund looking to give the Italian startup ecosystem a boost. The only thing more frightening than being shot at by your own team is finding out you just shot up your own team. The very idea of fratricide…aka “Blue-on-Blue” incidents…is scary, but being a professional means you can't just be scared, you have to work on your skills and knowledge to counter the possibility of it happening to you or because of you. In this episode, Jim and Mike discuss just that. Whether it's a pair of USAF F-15's mistaking American Blackhawks for Iraqi Hind gunships, a police officer not briefed to look for the undercover cop at the buy/bust, or a private citizen failing to positively identify an “intruder” and shooting a loved one, these are all preventable failures. We know that fog and friction make it harder to be aware of the environment and cause simple tasks to become more difficult, so how do we mitigate these factors and prevent “own goals”?
