Hey Disturbed listeners. I wanted to hop on here and give you guys an update on our plans for the show this year.  We've experimented over the past six months, and you've shared your feedback on our new formats and content. Starting this week, we're going back to releasing one episode per week on Thursdays, focusing only on the traditional Disturbed format. Our regular disturbed episodes will once again feature true horror stories, with an occasional paranormal story sprinkled in. We're also committed to longer episodes and shorter ad-breaks– so you can expect episodes to be at least 30 minutes going forward.  We've had a lot of positive feedback about our new Night at the Campfire series, so we're going to keep releasing those as our monthly member-only exclusive on Patreon. If you haven't checked it out yet, there's four episodes available for free right now, so definitely give them a listen. We take the creepiest and scariest stories we can find from professional authors and pair them with high-quality voice actors and sound design. Residents in the Wellington suburb of Miramar are disturbed after sewage exploded out of their toilets. Work being done by Wellington Water contractors apparently caused the sewage to back up. It comes after a major failure at the nearby Moa Point water treatment plant earlier this month which has discharged millions of litres of raw sewage into the Cook Strait every day. It's Hump Day and there's so much going on this week. The weather is improving, the Winter Roots festival is Saturday, the La Crosse Sport Show is this weekend, and the Olympics continue! Speaking of the Winter Games, we updated you on the medal count, talked about yesterday's beatdown of Canada in women's hockey, and a medal winner who made a stunning admission during a press conference. In the news this morning, the latest on Savannah Guthrie's missing mother, an official cause of death for Catherine O'Hara, Tim Walz is hopeful that ICE agents will soon be leaving Minnesota, and a new report claims that Kurt Cobain was murdered. In sports, the Badgers beat Illinois in overtime last night, the Bucks are back in Orlando tonight, Tiger Woods' son picks his college, former Pittsburgh women's basketball players are suing the current head coach, a 49er player gets shot in the ankle at a Super Bowl party, and the Nieslen numbers are in for the Super Bowl & the halftime show. Speaking of the Super Bowl halftime show, Dave Draiman of Disturbed is suggesting that we use music to bring people together with a new festival featuring artist on both sides of the political aisle, and Kid Rock responds to allegations that he was lip-syncing during his TPUSA halftime show. Introduction: The Emotional Roller Coaster of the Workplace   Life and work are never static; they operate on an emotional roller coaster where peaks of success are inevitably followed by valleys of struggle. Far too many leaders view their teams as "resources"—cogs in a machine designed for output—rather than recognizing the complex human beings behind the results.   The most effective leaders possess the strategic agility to serve as both a sanctuary and a catalyst. Our core mandate is to build an environment where we provide psychological safety for the struggling while simultaneously disrupting the complacency of those hitting a stride of peak performance.   Takeaway 1: Stop Managing "Resources," Start Leading People   Leadership excellence begins with the paradigm shift of viewing every team member as a "whole person." By keeping them disciplined, we enable them to face future challenges with gratitude and acceptance, enabling them to move on without bitterness.   Conclusion: The Leader's Dual Mandate   The most profound leadership strategy is a simple dual mandate: comfort the disturbed and disturb those who are comfortable.   This balance ensures that we are providing a safety net for those in lean periods while preventing stagnation during periods of peak performance.   We must pay it forward by emulating the role models who stood by us and comforted us during our own professional trials. True leadership is about observing the emotional and professional state of our team and having the courage to act as the specific catalyst they need at any given moment.   Look closely at your team today. Which individual is currently weathering a lean period and needs your comfort, and who has become so comfortable that they require a strategic disturbance?
