In this episode… Watching your company grow is exciting. But as departments and clientele expand, how do you make sure your data remains secure? Many companies are unaware of just how many applications their company is using as it grows. The HR department downloads an application, then the marketing and financial departments download a few more, and so on. Pretty soon, there are hundreds of applications storing sensitive data floating around the company — and you don't know how to secure them. So, how do you start reigning in these applications to keep data safe? In this episode of She Said Privacy/He Said Security, co-hosts Justin and Jodi Daniels sit down with Tommy Donnelly, CIO at BetterCloud, to discuss how companies can keep their data safe in the cloud. Tommy talks about the privacy and security risks of the cloud, the best ways to consolidate your company's data for security purposes, and how BetterCloud can help manage privacy and security across multiple applications.

What happens when your business merges and your conference grows 4x larger? Emma Bica, Event Marketing Manager for PeopleNet/Trimble talks us through her company's event growth and how to work collaboratively with a new parent company.
As of press time, more than a month after the One20 company ceased operations entirely, and nearly three months after the owner of an affiliated business, the single-truck One20 Trucking, resigned his position as head of One20 Inc., owner-operators Lee and Lisa Schmitt, contracted to One20 Trucking, were still owed money for loads booked and hauled for the company, they say. The former One20 Trucking owner, Christian Schenk, says he's working on settling their accounts soon. In telling their story, though, the Schmitts reveal a key element as yet unreported in the One20 company's demise, the financial support from PeopleNet owner the Trimble Companies, whose decision to withdraw investment support in One20 essentially precipitated its fall. Take a listen.
