Four Luxembourg entrepreneurs tackle wasted energy, hidden disability, unaffordable housing and litter through the SIS model. Most companies begin with a product. My four guests began with an irritation they couldn't ignore: buildings leaking untracked energy, disabilities hidden from view, workers priced out of the housing market and pointless litter on streets, forests, rivers and coastlines. Their response was to build a business around the repair job. Luxembourg has a legal structure for precisely this kind of ambition. A Société d'Impact Sociétal, known as an SIS, remains a commercial enterprise, but its social or environmental purpose is written into the company itself. Its impact must be measured, reported and defended. At the time of our conversation, Luxembourg has 92 registered SIS companies working across 12 broad areas, including housing, health, education, climate, food and the circular economy. First, find out what the building is doing Virginie Ducommun, founder of Indoor Forest, calls her philosophy “efficient sobriety”. Her smart sensors can be installed in existing buildings without ripping through walls or replacing entire systems. They expose where energy and water are going, helping owners decide what genuinely needs changing and what can safely remain. Luxembourg has developed a habit of destroying and rebuilding, Virginie argues, even when buildings still contain decades of useful life. A pink wall can be repainted. A functioning heating system can be maintained. Demolition should require a better excuse than age. “Data is gold. Before you do anything, you need to know what's happening.” Virginie Ducommun, Indoor Forest A sunflower that makes the invisible visible For Jana Degrott, founder of Real Impact Hub, the mission is deeply personal. Her brother has a hidden disability. Her company represents the Hidden Disability Sunflower programme in Luxembourg, allowing someone to wear a discreet sunflower lanyard when they may need greater patience, understanding or support. Jana spent two years pursuing the idea before securing Luxembourg Airport as her first major client. She then approached the international Sunflower organisation with a compelling entrepreneurial argument: the concept had already been sold, so perhaps it was time to answer her emails. Today, the programme is expanding into organisations including CFL. “I have something you don't see with your eyes. Please be patient, understanding, don't judge me.” Jana Degrott, Real Impact Hub The lanyard does not reveal a diagnosis. It asks the rest of us to pause before turning difference into judgement. That small pause could be one of the most valuable services any organisation provides. The housing crisis hiding inside Luxembourg's success Joe Schmit spent more than 15 years in real estate before co-founding Simpact, Luxembourg's first private social property developer under the SIS structure. Its model combines state support, private financing and long-term rental housing whose income is designed to cover costs. The need extends far beyond a narrow group. Young families, couples, single parents and much of Luxembourg's working population can struggle to find secure, affordable housing. Simpact has signed a convention with the state targeting 250 units, Joe said, although Luxembourg will require many more organisations operating at that scale. “The housing market doesn't follow the growth.” Joe Schmit, Simpact Housing exposes the full machinery of a country. Land, construction costs, interest rates, municipal permits, schools, transport and public infrastructure all turn together. Build 25 homes in a small commune and it may also need classrooms for 50 children. A housing policy is quietly a policy for almost everything else. One bag becomes a global movement César González Fernández began picking up litter in 2018 because it bothered him. Five minutes, one bag, one cleaner patch of ground. That private act became Clean Something For Nothing, an app recording cleanups through location data, time, volume and weight. At the time of recording, its community had collected approximately 926,000 kilograms of litter and was closing in on the one million kilogram mark. Its “Pick and Plant” programme also allows companies to fund one tree for every kilogram collected. “Once you see it, you cannot unsee it.” César González Fernández, Clean Something For Nothing His deeper target is behavioural change. Once somebody has bent down and picked up another person's cigarette butt, plastic bottle or food wrapper, litter becomes harder to ignore and much harder to drop. Profit with proof attached An SIS must still sell, recruit, pay salaries, manage cash flow and generate profit. The difference lies in what happens next. Impact shareholders do not receive dividends, profits remain inside the company and the organisation must prove that its promised social or environmental value actually occurred. That makes the SIS label less of a halo and more of a discipline. These founders are asking Luxembourg to take impact companies seriously as economic actors, open procurement opportunities to them and help them reach the scale their missions demand. “Doing good business doesn't mean not making any money.” Jana Degrott “There are so many returns on nature and society.” César González Fernández Four founders, four very different businesses and one provocative question: what might happen if every company had to describe what it repairs as carefully as it reports what it earns? #198// If something in your life is being torn down right now, hear this. Demolition is not a sign of failure. It is the first step of restoration.A relationship. A season. A ministry. A version of yourself you spent decades building. And somewhere in the noise of it, a question forms that you have not said out loud: what if this is it? What if this is just where my life stays now?It isn't. Wherever God is tearing something down in the life of a believer, He is preparing to build. Victory is your portion in Christ Jesus, and He does not leave anything fallow forever. But it is on you to decide what your demolition means. In this week's episode -- it's the message I shared this past Sunday at REVIVE Church of Tampa -- I'm walking through Isaiah 58:11-12 and what God showed me about the difference between a life stuck in permanent demolition and a life that is actively being restored. Here's what we get into:→ STOP TRYING TO BE THE FOREMAN. The thing a general contractor told my husband in the middle of a demolition that will change how you survive every tearing-down season of your life→ THE WORD TO TETHER YOURSELF TO. Three promises hidden in Isaiah 58:11 that you can declare over a life that currently looks like a construction site, and why your feelings will follow your believing→ THE STRONGHOLD WEARING A DISGUISE. The thing you've been protecting because you believe you won't be safe without it, and the four-word declaration God is waiting on you to say→ IT WAS INSIDE BEFORE IT WAS OUTSIDE. The dream God gave me about our church building before a single wall came down, and what it reveals about what He has already placed inside you→ AFTER YOU HAVE SUFFERED A LITTLE WHILE. What Peter's total collapse teaches us about restoration, and the line in 1 Peter 5 most of us have been taught to skip right over

(16:10)And in the end, we look at why Uttarakhand Technical University cancelled two examinations after an external paper setter allegedly leaked questions to students, reigniting concerns over exam integrity in the state. In this episode I share with you some disturbing news about Canada and its controlled demolition. I will tell you about the Medical Assistance in Dying program (Euthanasia), the latest developments in how Canada deals with mental illness, and I will show you the intersecting problems with both. The MAID program is being offered to people waiting for care in emergency rooms, offered outside coffee shops, can result in incompetent procedures, utilizes slow kill process and then there is the issue of mature minors. Mental illness diagnoses are now being forced upon individuals without an interview with a qualified psychiatrist, police are certifying, and people are being forced into institutional incarceration. We all gotta start somewhere. For underground Metal bands in the 80s, the Metal Forces magazine “Demolition” section was a great place to start. This week we're going thru the first ten issues of that essential British rag and sharing all those "names" that appeared. Prepare to say "Wow!" In our "News, Views and Tunes", we attend a record release gig and Snowy takes a liking to a country (!!) artist. Musically, we crank new and used from The Accused, Agent Steel, Hirax, Necronomicon (Ger.), Cripple Bastards, Solanum, Evil, Shaved Ape and some Xecutioner (pre Obituary '85 demo). Horns Up!!

The Campbell family's case has reached the highest court in the UK, the Supreme Court. They are litigating whether decisions by the AG can be challenged in the courts or if the AG is effectively above the law. If they win, they will be able to challenge the lawfulness of the AG's refusal to reopen Geoff Campbell's inquest, and winning at that stage would lead to reopening the inquest. Litigating at this level, whether in the UK or US, is very expensive. The hearing is in October, and the family needs to raise the final £125,000 by the end of June so that their barristers can get started in earnest.

I'm genuinely concerned about Leftists. As a psychiatrist would be to a patient who he has determine to be unfit to be loosed in the public.I honestly think they should all be reported to the authorities, and have their social media accounts carefully monitored.Be honest, have you ever seen such a crazed group of imbeciles?I wish my news feeds were a joke, but they are not. Wherever Leftists exists, you are in DANGER.Here is but one example:Police have just arrested DEMOCRAT Congressional candidate Kirill Basin in Hawaii for pulling a FIREARM on officials after storming a government building He's been charged with terrorist threatening in the first degree. Democrats are filled with utter psychos! I'm concerned because I don't know how any political movement survives this level of public self-destruction. These people are EVIL.Seriously, what is the sales pitch anymore?Imagine you're recruiting for the Democratic Party in 2026."Come join us. We oppose voter ID. We defend government waste until someone finds it. We support policies voters reject, then call the voters the problem. We lose elections and immediately begin holding seminars on why reality is unfair."Who signs up for that? And yet somehow they're still here. It's like watching a political version of a mall store that's been "Going Out of Business" since 1997. Every time you drive by, the liquidation signs are bigger, the windows are dirtier, and somehow they're still open.[ARC] Democrats LeavingTake Florida House Democrat Lindsay Cross. She recently announced she won't seek reelection. Now maybe there are personal reasons. Politics is demanding work. But if I were a Democrat officeholder looking around at my party right now, I'd probably be checking emergency exits too.Because what exactly are these people defending anymore?Every week Democrats discover a new hill to die on.Not a mountain. Not a strategic position.A hill.A tiny, insignificant mound that normal Americans didn't even know existed until Democrats climbed on top of it waving a flag. The latest example?President Trump wants to beautify Washington, D.C.And Democrats are upset.Think about how remarkable that is.There are wars.Inflation concerns.Crime.The border.National debt. But somewhere in America sits a Democrat operative furiously typing a memo titled: "Why Cleaner Streets Are A Threat To Democracy."You couldn't parody these people aggressively enough to catch up with reality. And what fascinates me isn't their insanity. It's their honesty. They're finally saying the quiet part out loud. For decades, Democrats wrapped radical ideas in beautiful language.Everything was compassion. Fairness. Equality. Now they've stopped decorating the package. The wrapping paper is gone. The public gets to see the product. And Americans are responding accordingly.Reports indicate Democrats lost millions of voters during the Biden years. The shocking part isn't that they lost voters. The shocking part is that they didn't lose more.Because every time Americans ask for common sense, Democrats respond like vampires being introduced to sunlight.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
