Kevin Jennings visits Google to introduce listeners to the “queeroes” who led the fight for LGBTQ+ equality in America over the past century. Featuring both familiar stories as well as ones you may never have heard before, Kevin's Talk will fill in the gaps in the history textbook you read in high school so that you leave with a fuller appreciation for the courage and determination of those who paved the way for the freedoms we all-too-often take for granted today. Today we unveiled detransition as a situation that transgenders face more than we actually know. Bertus and Emmanuel share some detransition cases, psychological reasons, and even some input on the new generations that consider transitioning at a very young age. You cannot miss this one! Follow Laith Ashley, our Queero of the week: https://bre.is/taqYNGJ7 More information about this topic: https://bre.is/8rxjrB6b Send us an anonymous message and share with us your thoughts: https://bre.is/VzDvvxvd #detransition #sexchangeregret #angryinch #lgbtqi #comingout #transgenders
Bertus and Emms read your questions and coming out stories in an episode full of anecdotes in which parents and sons/daughters bonded even more after coming-out of the closet. We also trash a little bit the stupid idea of a Straight Pride, and celebrate the life of Ruth Coker Burks, our Queero of the Week!
Bertus and Emmanuel debate about the hard task of finding good friends among the LGBTQI community. Today we also spill the tea about the sweet TaeKook BTS couple, homophobia in Taiwan, and Todrick Hall's newest video, we are all over the place in this one! As usual, we reply to some of our listener's questions, and we did not forget to mention our dear Queero of the Week, but because of the length of this episode, we will save it for the next one.
So there was this little show you might have heard of called “Rise of the Shield Hero”. Is it any good? Is it funny? And why does that huge bird have sunglasses? Also on the chopping block: ANN promoting cult propaganda and the man with the edgiest Fursona ever, “I am everything a Republican hates” Sonicfox.
Hello 2017! This week, we're inspired by a listener email to talk about queer mentors. We talk about the people that shaped us, the need for good strong mentorship for LGBT youth, and the challenges our mentors face as they age. Plus, a call-in story from Robert in Louisiana!
