The ridiculously fun new film Stop! That! Train! brings the gags-a-minute silliness of Airplane! to the bawdy world of RuPaul's Drag Race. But does it chug along smoothly or does it veer off the rails? RuPaul stars as the president of the United States who must help save a train from a massive stormaganza. Drag queens Jujubee and Ginger Minj are train attendants aboard the runaway train filled with Drag Race alumni and comedy heavy-hitters who are here to serve looks and bring the shade. Given its phenomenal success across 18 seasons of television (not to mention numerous spin-offs and a global domination of international versions), it was only a matter of time before “RuPaul's Drag Race” leaped off the small screen and made its way into movie theaters. “Stop! That! Train!” is essentially a cinematic extension of the groundbreaking reality show, but with a fictionalized twist. Directed by Adam Shankman, the film stars the winner of “Drag Race's” All Stars Season 10, Ginger Minj, and frequent “Drag Race” competitor Jujubee as a pair of train attendants on the opulent Glamazonian Express. Their first journey on the luxury locomotive is interrupted by an approaching Stormaganza, which threatens to turn their maiden voyage into their last. The duo must find a way to save the train and all of its kooky passengers, but thankfully, they're not alone, as none other than President Judy Gagwell (RuPaul Charles) is ready to lend a manicured hand. Before “Stop! That! Train!” chugga-chuggas its way into theaters, Cody Dericks spoke with director Adam Shankman and leading ladies Ginger Minj and Jujubee about what inspired the film, what it was like going from television to film, and how, to drag queens, what might insult the average person can actually be a compliment. Be sure to also listen to my interviews with their co-stars Rachel Bloom & Latrice Royale, and Brooke Lynn Hytes, Marcia Marcia Marcia & Symone, and check out the film, now playing in theaters from Bleecker Street. Your reality TV besties have arrived! Michelle Chapman and Mostly Nitpicking's DJ Chapman are dishing on all the drama, delusion, and occasionally genuine emotion from your favorite dating and competition shows. Love is Blind? Covered. RuPaul's Drag Race? Absolutely. The entire Bachelor franchise and whatever Netflix dropped this week? Honey, they watched it so you don't have to — but honestly, you should watch it too. This week we're cracking open the first seven episodes of Love Island USA Season 8 with guest host Allie Nelson from Not Couple Goals — and trust us, the villa is already a beautiful disaster. We roast the Islanders, salute the bombshells who showed up ready to ruin someone's week, and marvel at the sheer volume of questionable choices being made under the guise of “connection.” If you like romance, chaos, and people confidently making the wrong decision, this episode is your new home.
Get ready for another deep dive into the cast of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 11 as Joe and Robert break down the queens of Bracket 3. The duo discusses the Drag Race histories of Hershii LiqCour-Jeté, Jasmine Kennedie, Joey Jay, Kennedy Davenport, Sam Star, and Shuga Cain, sharing their thoughts on each queen's original run, strengths, weaknesses, and chances of advancing in the competition. Along the way, they debate Kennedy Davenport's legacy, revisit some controversial Drag Race moments, discuss queens who may have been robbed, and speculate on who could emerge as the surprise standout of the bracket. Plus, there's plenty of tangents, laughter, and classic Joe-and-Robert banter about movies, fandom, and the ever-evolving Drag Race universe. Learn more about your ad choices. Ginger Minj and Jujubee stop by to talk about their new film Stop! That! Train!, the World of Wonder and Bleecker Street comedy that casts them as the leads of a drag-fueled disaster movie parody. They get into what it was like carrying a film for the first time, working alongside RuPaul as a colleague rather than a judge, and why Adam Shankman told them to play it completely straight. Plus: JuJu's most challenging line read, the skirt that never came back and why you need to see this one in a theater. Behind movies like The Wedding Planner, A Walk to Remember and Hairspray (2007) is the director Adam Shankman. This June, Adam's back with a campy comedy starring RuPaul and Drag Race alumni called STOP! THAT! TRAIN! What sets his latest film apart from his previous work is that it's his first time, as a queer director, directing an entirely queer-led cast. Adam stops by Q to talk about his love of “stupid” comedy, why STOP! THAT! TRAIN! deserves to be seen in theatres, and what it means to him to finally direct a movie led by queer actors.
It's that most wonderful time of the year (Pride! And it's beach reads time!). Old Lady Tara rears her ancient head this episode, talking about respecting bedtimes and being excited for the rain to loosen up the soil for weeding flowerbeds. We also return to one of our favourite topics of conversation: book covers. Official Recommendations From Kris: Love is a Contact Sport by Frederick Smith Kris's official recommendation this week is the gay romance novel Love is a Contact Sport by Frederick Smith. You may remember Smith from previous episodes where we've officially recommended his book One and Done and had the opportunity to sit down with him for a conversation. This second chance romance includes aspects of relationships we don't often see on page, like therapy and safe sex practices. Kris loved this one. From Tara: For the Bride by Becca Grischow Tara's official recommendation this week is For the Bride by Becca Grischow, an enemies to lovers sapphic romance that Tara couldn't put down. She may have quibbles about the cover's colour scheme, but only because it suggests the book is a cozy, rom-com kind of affair, which it is not (and that's a very good thing). The main character, Alice, is a mess and Tara hasn't seen this kind of character work in a long time. 2026 has been a great year for books and For the Bride is right up there. They discuss The Shawshank Redemption vs. The Green Mile and share stories about Lady Gaga, John Travolta, and Adam's encounters with Oprah. Adam recalls John Waters' reaction to the Hairspray movie, who he might cast in Hairspray today, and their appreciation for Amanda Bynes. It's the year 2026, and while the LGBTQ community is under attack politically and socially, we remain blessed when it comes to queer representation on our TV screens – at least for the time being. Even 20 years ago, we couldn't have conceived of how accepting the small screen would become, with gays, lesbians, bi, and trans folx appearing not only in series created specifically for them, but hes, shes, theys and thems being included as featured characters in mainstream hit series. We may be living in the Golden Age of queer TV, or we may just be getting started in the era of inclusivity. Either way, join the Great Pop Culture Debate for its 2026 Pride Special as we attempt to name the best LGBTQ TV Series, at least up until 2026.TV shows discussed: Schitt's Creek, Heated Rivalry, Queer as Folk (2000), Modern Family, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, The L Word, Trixie Motel, RuPaul's Drag Race, Torchwood, Heartstopper, Pose, Will & Grace, The Real World, Angels in America, Looking Join host Eric Rezsnyak and GPCD panelists Karissa Kloss, Kevin Dillon, and Victor Manibo as they discuss and debate 16 of the most queer-affirming television series of all time. For the warm-up to this episode, in which we discuss additional queer TV shows that didn't make the bracket, become a Patreon supporter of the podcast today. Drag queens have long dominated mainstream drag culture — from RuPaul's Drag Race to club nights, brunches, and bingo shows. But Drag Kings have always been part of drag history too… they've just rarely been given the spotlight. In this episode of The StickyBeak, Monika explores the hidden history and modern resurgence of Drag Kings — performers who have been challenging gender norms and shaping queer performance culture since the 1800s.From vaudeville stages and underground cabaret to punk shows and queer club nights, Drag Kings have been here all along.Monika speaks with three incredible Drag Kings from the US about their artistry, their journeys, and what it means to build visibility in a drag scene that has historically centred drag queens. This episode explores Drag Kings, drag history, queer culture, gender performance, and the evolution of drag as an art form.HUGE thank you to...Buck Wylde : IG @buckwylde_dragkingHannibal Lickher : IG @hannibal.lickherPrinze Valentino : IG @ Prinze_valentinoThis episode was brought to you by Tüt, toilet lid stickers to zhuzh up your toot. This week on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 11, the queens of Bracket 2 put their instructional skills to the test as they create a series of over-the-top how-to videos. From cooking tutorials to zombie survival guides, the queens attempt to educate the children while fighting for valuable points in the competition. Joe and Taylor break down the challenge, debate the judges' decisions, discuss the increasingly exhausting alliance conversations, and weigh in on a farm-themed runway that delivered everything from hay couture to questionable tractor fashion. Gina Gershon arrives ready to play and earns rave reviews as a guest judge. The hosts discuss whether the challenge format helped or hurt the queens. Alliance talk continues to dominate the workroom conversation. Joe shares strong opinions about washing chicken. April Carrion and Silky Nutmeg Ganache's playful rivalry fizzles before it can become real drama. Aura Mayari's zombie-themed tutorial leaves the hosts unconvinced. Crystal Methyd channels absurdist comedy in one of the episode's strongest performances. Selena EsTitties and Silky's videos spark a conversation about stereotypes and comedy. The hosts break down every look from the "Barned This Way" runway. Debate over whether the judges picked the correct Top 2 queens. Joe and Taylor disagree with the lip sync outcome. An unexpected tangent about banana splits, Wiener Schnitzel, and childhood dessert memories. April Carrion serves high-fashion hay couture. Aura Mayari transforms into a glamorous barn owl. Crystal Methyd delivers another delightfully bizarre presentation. Silky Nutmeg Ganache brings the dairy farm to the runway. Vivacious attempts tractor-inspired club kid couture. With alliances and point distribution continuing to dominate the narrative, Joe and Taylor find themselves wishing for more organic drama and character development. Still, strong guest judging from Gina Gershon, a few memorable challenge performances, and a surprisingly effective lip sync keep the episode moving as the season heads toward its merge. They talk about Vivacious returning, how many times Silky has actually been on Drag Race, Selina building alliances, and Crystal standing out from the group. On this wildly unfiltered episode of Undressed with Pol' and Patrik, we sit down with fan-favorite couple Mark Romain and Brett Hamby from The Amazing Race for one of the funniest, most emotional, and unexpectedly deep conversations we've had in a long time with two hot guys! From surviving the chaos of reality television to navigating love, honesty, identity, and career crossroads, this episode takes us everywhere. Brett reveals the terrifying childhood accident that left him with a broken femur after being hit by a car in Pacifica (Bay Area) and how gymnastics and acrobatics became part of his healing journey. Meanwhile, Mark spills all the tea about dancing for icons like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Kesha — plus the hilarious story of Pol' accidentally talking to Christina Aguilera for 45 minutes without realizing who she was at Adrienne Maloof's Halloween party. We dive into their unforgettable experience competing on The Amazing Race, including producer drama, getting pulled over during filming, losing money in Hong Kong, surviving five intense weeks together, and learning how pressure exposes every crack — and strength — in a relationship. The conversation turns deeply personal as Mark and Brett open up about honesty in relationships, why they refuse to lie to each other, and how communication ultimately became the secret to surviving life together. Things get extra outrageous when we discuss RuPaul's Drag Race, Pol's traumatic experience appearing in drag years ago, and the hysterical story of RuPaul getting denied entry into his own premiere party because no one recognized him out of drag. We also get into queer friendships, gay relationship stereotypes, open relationships, dating shows, and why gays can sometimes be “the bitchiest people alive.” Then comes the Armenian Coffee Reading… and things take a shocking turn. Pol' immediately identifies a major emotional split in Mark's life connected to his twin brother, authenticity, and years of suppressing who he really was before embracing his true self. The reading becomes incredibly emotional as Mark admits he spent years trying to force himself into a life that never fit him. Pol' then reveals that Mark is standing at the edge of a massive life shift and urges him to reconnect with the creative calling he abandoned long ago. Brett's reading goes even deeper, uncovering unresolved emotional wounds and a hidden sadness he has spent years covering with “band-aids.” The moment becomes hauntingly emotional when Brett quietly reveals the heart shape in his coffee cup reminds him of his late mother. Between hysterical one-liners, relationship confessions, reality TV secrets, and one of the most powerful coffee readings we've had yet, this episode is funny, raw, emotional, chaotic, and completely unforgettable. Joe and Taylor are back to break down RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 11 Episode 4, “It Takes Two,” and this one has everything: butter-themed runway looks, chaotic duet pairings, desperate point politicking, and a legendary lip sync song that sends Joe into full gay-history mode. The duo discusses Crystal Methyd's stunning runway package, Silky Nutmeg Ganache's evolution as reality TV chaos incarnate, and why Vivacious remains compelling television even when the competition may no longer fit her strengths. They also debate whether Aura Mayari deserved the lip sync win, unpack Selena's increasingly frantic gameplay, and question whether strategic alliances in this format actually work. Plus: Michelle Visage tries to coach April Carrion through recording vocals, the queens fight over “Dreaming of Me,” and Joe and Taylor somehow detour into a lengthy discussion about the deeply problematic 1982 Richard Pryor movie The Toy. "That's funny. I've never heard of a George Glass at our school." We watched "A Very Brady Sequel" with Friend of the Pod, author Elizabeth Teets, and we wish we could be gay again. It took us a few (hundred) episodes to get to it, but here we are. This movie could be considered a "quickie" sequel, but it has spawned more memes and firmly embedded itself in pop culture in its own right - "Sure Jan" and "Nice try Jan" very well may have outshined the popularity of the movie itself. But this movie is more than just memes - the cast is really working like a well-oiled machine. Christine Taylor and Jennifer Elise Cox as Marcia and Jan Brady really steal this movie, and their dysfunctional sisterhood is hilariously perfect. Jan's otherness really speaks to us as queer people, and Marcia's mean-girl backhanded comments are just top-notch. Our returning cast is all stellar here as well, and the cameos from Zsa Zsa Gabor, Rosie O'Donnell, David Spade, and the return of RuPaul as Guidance Counselor Mrs. Cummings are superb. We watch for the catty Marcia/Jan jibes, we stay for Gary Cole/Tim Matheson battle of the hunky dads. Yet from the ashes of this moment rises our haute couture heroine: Denise Delgado‑Pesante — Drag Fashion Show Producer, FIT administrator, and a woman whose halter top alone could halt a runway. She steps in to interview all eighteen Queens of this season. A feat so intense it deserves its own vogue-heavy playlist. Season 11 of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars premiered on Paramount+ on May 8, 2026, unleashing glamour, alliances and plot twists. This week on Sibling Watchery, Bob and Monét recap RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 11, Episode 3, the final episode of the first bracket. They question whether Morgan was right about Mystique all along and if playing too earnest of a game kept Morgan from moving forward. They also wonder if Mystique is intentionally making good TV or genuinely thinks she's doing well in the competition. The queens are challenged to sell on the Home Spooky Network in monster drag, leading Bob and Monét to discuss partner strategy, Morphine's prosthetics, and whether Lucky Starzzz is giving more coronavirus than vampire. They also ask if A'Keria is better at improv than she realizes and whether confidence matters more than talent. On the Paris-themed runway, they react to the looks, Paris rat lore, Morgan's cutlery fashion, and whether lip syncing is truly one of Dawn's strengths. This week on Sibling Watchery, Bob and Monét recap RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 11, Episode 2. The new MVQ Ceremony is already shaking up the queens as they turn queer nightlife into couture using materials inspired by iconic gay bars. Bob and Monét question who Dawn could actually beat in a lip sync, whether Morphine is overestimating her performances, and if choreographing a number really helps in the judging. They unpack Morgan clocking Mystique's strategy, whether Dawn betrayed Morphine, and if queens sometimes downplay their talents for the storyline.
