In this episode I interview my great friend Abdullah Ahmed. Now I consider Abdullah to be a modern renaissance man of sorts. He has a plethora of knowledge about a great many topics. He's taught me a great many things. From exactly what to say when shopping for a new car to get the best deal, to what are the dietary rules of Halal. Which we discuss on this episode. Other topics we cover are how we became friends. That leads into how he got started in the IT Industry. Working on his master's degree at The University of South Florida. This touches on the visa process. Having to get a student visa to immigrate from Pakistan to the United States. Eventually, getting a visa that's sponsored by his employer once he graduated. We also cover what some of the cultural differences are between people in Pakistan and the United States. You can find Abdullah on Instagram @virtualabdullah I had a great time interviewing Abdullah, and you'll have a great time listening to the interview. Our focus is on Atheism in this episode. Topics covered in this episode are... 1.What's the definition of atheism? 2.A brief history of atheism. Starting with the ancient Greeks up to present day. 3.What are a few goals of modern day atheists? Specifically, government policy. 4.We wrap up the show with my opinion. I imagine myself as a Christian and an atheist to ponder the existence of God. Correction: During the episode, I state that early Christians were called atheists by Romans. I should have said that Christians were considered atheists according to it's meaning at the time. The word 'atheist' first appeared in the 16th century. What comes to mind when you hear the word steroids? Illegal activities? Cheating? Scandals? Steroids have become synonymous with illicit undertakings. In the intro of this episode we discuss what steroids are (touching on why they are important), examples of steroids made by the human body, and where they are made in the body. Afterwards, we shift our focus to anabolic steroids. How they assist to increase muscle mass and strength (getting into some biology here), and what are some side effects of their use. The goal of this episode is to go beyond just the "steroids are bad" mentally without providing data. I give my opinion, but ultimately it's an individual's decision. Here's a couple of resources I used. https://www.sportsci.org/encyc/anabster/anabster.html https://www.thoughtco.com/how-steroid-hormones-work-373393 Questions/Comments: Send me an email howard@howardsblend.com Instagram: @howardsblend If you enjoy this podcast and you find value in it, please rate, leave a review, subscribe, and tell at least one friend to listen.
