Our Coaches Corner series continues this week with Florida Head Coach Jenny Rowland, who is heading into her 11th season with the Gators. Under Rowland, Florida has enjoyed tremendous success — making eight NCAA Championship appearances, including seven trips to the NCAA finals, and earning four SEC Championships. Still, the program is hungry to return to the top of the NCAA Championship podium, a spot they haven't held since 2015.This year's Florida squad features one of the deepest and most talented rosters in the country, and from our conversation with Jenny, it's clear this team is fired up — especially after narrowly missing the Final Four last season. Could this be the year the Gators bring home the trophy?Jenny joins us to share insights on her team and preview the upcoming season.Thank you to our monthly Patreon supporters: Lee B, Cookiemaster, Christa, Happy Girl, Erica S, Semflam, Amy C, Maria L, Becca S, Cathleen R, Faith, Kerry M, M, Derek H, Martin, Sharon B, Randee B, MSU, Kimberly G, Robert H, Lela M, Mara L, Jenna A, Alex M, Mama T, Kelsey, Lidia, Maria P, Alicia O, Cristina K, Bethany J, Diane J, Kentiemac, Marni S, Betny T, Emily C, Cathy D, Lisa T, Libby C, Thiago, Taryn M, Dana B, Jamie S, Chuck C, Je_GL, Kaitlin, Susan P, Mallory D, LFC_Hokie, Ella, Debbie, Kay, Diane J, Julie B,, Austin K, Jane, Sarah, Amy, Stephen S, Johanna T, Alison S, Kristina T, Abigail W, Ola S, Jennifer K, Kate M, Claudia, Erin L, Sarah A, Kennedy B, Thomas B, Kihika N, Beth C, Amy, Renee PM, Ryan V, Brandon H, Tyler, Hayley B, Ben S, Kate, Landon, Danielle, ALittleUnderRotated, Dana C, Grace, Pat G , Lexi G, Laura N, Kathy, Katie A, Ruby B,, Róisín, Megan J, Emily D, Britton, Ry Shep, Reyna G, William A, MB, Jackson G, Stella, Ulo F, Noah C, Melissa H, Alexis, William M, Trish, Susie, Leslie G, Catherine B, Karlin, Laura L, Katy S, J'nia G, Kathy M, Kathy S, Okcaro, Caroline P, JD B, Cookiecutter, Ailish D, Wil D, Caroline M, kcmojojojo, Sammy S, Fabio B, Kerry H, Ricardo A, Brandon, Leah D, Margaret G, Molly, Marco B, ClemsonTigersFan, Lisa B, Amelia G-G, Lauren DSO, Sarah M, Abigail M, Grace M, Laura A & Justin D!

In November 2025, the third edition of the Junior World gymnastics championships took place in the Philippines. I'm going to be discussing my big takeaways from the men's team event in which the Chinese men came out on top ahead of team Japan, who were very closely followed by the three man US squad. The all around crown was won by the Russian gymnast Arsenii Dukhno who was competing as a neutral athlete. He edged out the Asian Games champion from Japan Nao Ojima with Yang Lanbin the top Chinese athlete finishing in third to complete the men's podium. China took the gold medals on the floor exercise and pommel horse with Yang Lanbin's beautiful routine on the former of the two apparatus and Zheng Ao winning gold the pommel horse. Dante Reive became the Junior world still rings champion and the all around champion Arsenii Dukhno got his individual title on vault performing a near perfect Yuchenko triple twist. Following in footsteps of his senior training partner Angel Bajaras, Colombian superstar Camilo Vera took two gold medals to round out the championships. On the parallel bars he shared the title with Nao Ojima and then on the horizontal bar he performed a routine that would have been competitive just one month earlier at the senior World gymnastics championships. Overall I was extremely impressed with the level of competition at these junior championships and expect many of these athletes to play key roles for their respective nations throughout this olympic cycle and beyond. Beyond the gold-medal winners, standout performances were delivered by Simone Seperanza, Eldrew Yulo, Danila Leykin, Sol Scott, and Nael Sakouhi. And this is my story.

Have you ever watched two young athletes rise through the hardest sport and wondered how they stay grounded through it all? Maybe you have seen your own gymnast pushing through pressure, comparison, or setbacks and you hope they will find the joy again. Every parent, coach, and young gymnast knows that feeling of needing something deeper to hold on to.In this week's episode of the PerformHappy Podcast, I talk with Senior Elite gymnasts Annalisa and Malea Milton, twins who share a bond that has shaped every step of their journey. They are identical, but so different in personality. One is outgoing, one is quieter. One bounces back faster from bars, the other takes more time. Yet together, they lift each other, encourage each other, and stay steady through the intense world of elite gymnastics. Their story is full of wisdom for anyone who wants a healthier, more joyful path in this sport. They share how their faith helps them stay strong, how communication with coaches builds trust, and how important it is to know yourself outside of gymnastics. They talk about injuries that changed everything, seasons that felt heavy, and the moment they realized that doing gymnastics for someone else will always lead to burnout. They also share the mindset skills that keep them steady in competition, from prayer to simple reminders like trusting the work they do every day.In this episode, you will hear• How Annalisa and Malea learned to support each other through comparison and injury • Why trusting the big picture can shift the entire gymnastics journey • What they look for in a healthy gym environment and coaching style • How doing gymnastics for yourself builds true confidence and joyYour sport cannot be the only thing that defines you. You must find who you are beyond the scores, the medals, and the pressure. This is the heart of the Milton twins' message, and it is a powerful one for every gymnast, parent, and coach.Learn exactly what to say and do to guide your athlete through a mental block with my new book "Parenting Through Mental Blocks" Order your copy today: https://a.co/d/g990BurFollow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/complete_performance/ Join my FaceBook page: https://www.facebook.com/completeperformancecoaching/ Check out my website: https://completeperformancecoaching.com/Write to me! On this episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, the twins are joined by the new NXT Women's Champion Tatum Paxley, fresh off her title win and headed toward an electrifying night at NXT Gold Rush at Madison Square Garden. Tatum reflects on her journey to the top—what felt like a fast rise has actually been years in the making. With a background in powerlifting, cheerleading, and even coaching kids' gymnastics, Tatum shares how each chapter helped shape her in-ring presence. She's candid about the mental battles that come with being a champion and how her “flawed” mindset only fuels her fire. “You won't always be perfect,” she says, “but you can always be your best.”The conversation dives deep into life outside the ropes, from married life and homebody vibes to a recent birthday surprise that got her out of the house for Halloween Horror Nights (which, to her surprise, wasn't scary enough). They also discuss what it means to step into a legendary arena like Madison Square Garden, and why that moment might just make her feel like a real pro for the first time.Of course, it wouldn't be a Nikki & Brie show without some fun—Tatum jumps into a quick round of Finish the Sentence before closing out with a thoughtful Inspiration & Affirmation: “Trust the wait and enjoy the unexpected.” If you're not already rooting for this new champ, you will be by the end of the episode. In this episode, Alyssa and Nadia have an unexpectedly deep conversation about aging, family caregiving, and what happens when we need help but don't want to admit it.What starts as a recap of the New York Marathon — where Nadia's gymnastics teammate ran 26.2 miles and a 78-year-old completed the race — quickly turns into a reflection on what aging looks like. Alyssa shares her concerns about her mother-in-law (Nadia's grandmother) who's struggling with the decision of what comes next: staying independent in her 5-bedroom home or accepting that she needs more support. The conversation becomes vulnerable as Alyssa admits she doesn't understand why older people resist what seems like the obvious, logical choice. Nadia offers a different perspective — cultural expectations, personality, and the desire to maintain independence all play a role. They debate who gets to make decisions when someone needs help: the person needing care, or the caregiver? And what happens when family members disagree?Alyssa makes Nadia promise (on the record) that when the time comes, she'll listen when her daughters say it's time to move to assisted living. They discuss the financial and emotional costs of elder care, why living with adult children often strains relationships, and the fantasy of having a trustworthy live-in caretaker in your own home. Eric's plan? If he gets dementia, just leave him in the Philippines with caretakers — a plan Alyssa firmly rejects. The episode wraps with reflections on genetics vs. lifestyle, social media wellness culture, and whether all those expensive creams actually do anything — or just give us the illusion of control. This is a conversation about autonomy, family dynamics, and the tension between wanting independence and needing support.TakeawaysAging looks different for everyone — some people run marathons at 78, others need significant helpCultural expectations shape how we think about caring for aging parents and grandparentsWhen someone needs help, there's tension between honoring their autonomy and doing what's practicalLiving with adult children can strain family dynamics — personal space (physical and emotional) mattersAssisted living costs are a major concern, and fear of running out of money keeps people independent longerThe "ideal" aging scenario: staying in your own home with a trustworthy caregiverSiblings often handle caregiving decisions differently — one usually takes the leadLongevity is more about genetics than trendy wellness routinesSocial media wellness culture can overcomplicate things that used to be simpleWe can't control aging, but thinking we can makes us feel betterChapters0:09–2:17 – New York Marathon: 78-Year-Olds and 4-Minute Miles2:18–5:22 – What Do We Want When We're Older? We're so excited about this week's Coaches Corner interview with none other than Jordyn Wieber, now in her sixth season as head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks! Even with some key injuries last season, the Razorbacks still put together a strong run. Remember, they upset both LSU and Florida when those teams were ranked No. 2 in the nation! While the end of the season didn't go quite as planned — missing out on SEC Championships and not qualifying for NCAAs as a team — we think that's just going to light a fire under them heading into this year.Expect the Razorbacks to bring the heat in 2026. Between the talented returners, some big-name transfers, and an incredible freshman class — plus Joscelyn Roberson, who just brought home a World Championship bronze medal on vault — this Razorback squad is stacked and ready to make some noise.A huge shoutout to our friend Anthony for helping us out with this interview. Thank you to our monthly Patreon supporters: Lee B, Cookiemaster, Christa, Happy Girl, Erica S, Semflam, Amy C, Maria L, Becca S, Cathleen R, Faith, Kerry M, M, Derek H, Martin, Sharon B, Randee B, MSU, Kimberly G, Robert H, Lela M, Mara L, Jenna A, Alex M, Mama T, Kelsey, Lidia, Maria P, Alicia O, Cristina K, Bethany J, Diane J, Kentiemac, Marni S, Betny T, Emily C, Cathy D, Lisa T, Libby C, Thiago, Taryn M, Dana B, Jamie S, Chuck C, Je_GL, Kaitlin, Susan P, Mallory D, LFC_Hokie, Ella, Debbie, Kay, Diane J, Julie B,, Austin K, Jane, Sarah, Amy, Stephen S, Johanna T, Alison S, Kristina T, Abigail W, Becky, Ola S, Jennifer K, Kate M, Claudia, Erin L, Sarah A, Kennedy B, Thomas B, Kihika N, Beth C, Amy, Renee PM, Ryan V, Brandon H, Tyler, Hayley B, Ben S, Kate, Landon, Danielle, ALittleUnderRotated, Dana C, Grace, Pat G , Lexi G, Laura N, Kathy, Katie A, Ruby B,, Róisín, Becca, Megan J, Emily D, Britton, Ry Shep, Reyna G, William A, MB, Jackson G, Brittany A, Stella, Ulo F, Noah C, Melissa H, Alexis, William M, Trish, Susie, Leslie G, Catherine B, Karlin, Laura L, Katy S, J'nia G, Kathy M, Kathy S, Okcaro, Caroline P, JD B, Cookiecutter, Ailish D, Wil D, Caroline M, kcmojojojo, Sammy S, Fabio B, Kerry H, Ricardo A, Brandon, Leah D, Joe S, Margaret G, Molly, Marco B, ClemsonTigersFan & Lisa B!

At the 2025 World gymnastics championships, Daiki Hashimoto became the men's all around champion for the third consecutive year. He defended his title against strong challenges from the current Olympic all around champion Oka Shinosuke of Japan and runner up Zhang Boheng of team China. Hashimoto now stands alone as the second most successful World championships men's all round athlete with three gold's, behind the great Kohei Uchimura who won six titles. In the apparatus finals the level of competition was incredibly high with individual titles being split between the countries of Great Britain, the Philippines, China and team USA. Jake Jarman won his second World championships title adding the floor gold medal to his collection in Indonesia, with his team mate Luke Whitehouse taking the silver. The new teenage Chinese pommel horse worker Hong Yanming took the title in a battle between difficulty and execution in which the latter came out on top. Donnell Whittenburg became the World Still rings champion at the age of 31 performing his own skill at his sixth World Championships appearance. On vault it came down to finest of margins but in the end Carlos Yulo edged out Artur Davtyan, who was able to stick both of his vaults under immense pressure to win the silver. Zou Jingyuan has the most dominant routine in the sport of men's gymnastics and has done for a number of years now. In years to come he will be universally remembered as the greatest parallel bar worker of all time and it's a joy to watch his performances. Unlike the events that unfolded in Paris twelve months ago, the high bar final produced some of the best routines we've ever seen on this apparatus. It was Brody Malone that became the 2025 World champion for team USA but he was closely followed by Daiki Hashoimto and Joe Fraser who continues to produce World class gymnastics time and time again for Great Britain. And this is my story.

When former Olympian Melissa Marlowe talks about the 1988 Olympic controversy and the bronze medal being taken away, she doesn't just revisit a headline; she relives what it felt like to stand on the edge of history and have it quietly rewritten overnight. How does someone keep competing after that? What carries an athlete through when the spotlight fades but the memory doesn't?    As she joins John Corella in this episode, Melissa reflects on the discipline, artistry, and strength that defined her career, from the power in her legs and feet to the mindset that helped her face pressure and perfectionism. She shares how her coaches' mix of kindness and toughness shaped her longevity in a sport built on precision and risk, and how she's come to measure success in ways that last longer than medals.   Episode Breakdown: 00:00 Welcome to Dance Dad and Guest Intro 01:47 Early Ballet Roots and Natural Flexibility 05:05 Signature Lines: The Power of Legs and Feet 06:35 Beating Nerves with Sports Psychology 21:39 The Reality of Olympic Pressure: Was It Worth It 23:40 1988 Olympic Controversy: Bronze Medal Being Taken Away 45:22 Competing in the Cold War: USA vs USSR 51:09 Hard but Kind Coaching and Athlete Longevity 59:12 Scholarships, Overtraining, and Choosing Longevity 01:00:42 Life After the Olympics: Movement, Motherhood, Meaning   Connect with Melissa Marlowe: Connect with Melissa on Instagram   Connect with John Corella: Follow Dance Dad with John Corella on Instagram Follow John on Instagram Join Dance Dad with John Corella on Patreon Visit John Corella's website Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm

The ALL ME® Podcast Shatterproof Mindset - Lauren Sisler October is Substance Abuse Prevention Month, and we're bringing you a special Bonus Episode of the ALL ME® Podcast. Join THF's Director of Marketing and Development, Amy Wagner, as she sits down with Lauren Sisler to share an inspiring conversation of resilience, awareness, and the importance of communication. Lauren Sisler is an Emmy Award-winning sports broadcaster, ESPN sideline reporter, author of Shatterproof, and keynote speaker known for her sideline shimmy. After landing her dream career with ESPN, reporting on college football and gymnastics, she began to open up about a story she once kept hidden: losing her parents to opioid addiction. Through sharing her story, she's been able to shed light on the stigma of addiction. Now, whether she's on the sidelines or on stages, her purpose lies in helping people tell (and love) their own stories, live more courageous, resilient lives, and find their own sideline shimmies. During this episode Lauren shares her journey from a gymnast to an ESPN sideline reporter, emphasizing the importance of embracing one's story, especially in the face of personal tragedy. She discusses the impact of her parents' deaths due to substance abuse and how it shaped her perspective on addiction and mental health. Lauren advocates for open communication and community support, encouraging others to find their own 'shatterproof' mindset. The conversation also touches on the pressures athletes face regarding body image and the importance of mental health awareness in sports. Takeaways · Everyone has a story worth sharing. · Falling in love with your story can empower you. · Personal tragedies can lead to greater understanding and empathy. · Communication is key in addressing substance abuse. · Mental health awareness is crucial in sports today. · We must support each other in our struggles. · Finding joy in difficult moments is essential. · Grace is important for ourselves and others. · We need to educate ourselves about addiction. · Embrace the journey and be where your feet are.
