On this date in history (1988), a court in Israel, found Ivan the Terrible guilty of Nazi war crimes. He was sentenced to death, however, his conviction was overturned in 1993 when it was found that it was someone else who was Ivan the Terrible. However, since he was a guard in a Nazi death camp, the US sent him back. God's plans regarding His people, did not go away with time. God's protected love for, and devotion to His people, is not for anything they did. There were multiple occasions that God had to act in judgment of His people. We as Christians are God's people, just as Israel is of God's choosing.
When we're not living in the will of God, bad things will happen! Abraham brought Lot with him, even though he was told to leave his family. He has his wife lie and tell people she was his sister, not his wife. The word of God is replete with people who were just as normal as we are, yet God used them mightily. What if you are at the wrong place at the wrong time because someone else has lead you there? You trust God. You stay with the word of God. You obey God. When we are not where we are supposed to be, doing what we're supposed to be doing, it will be painful. But God has a way to draw us to Him. What do we do when we put ourselves into the place where we're not supposed to be, doing what we're not supposed to be doing? As soon as we realize it, walk humbly with our God. Get right with God, and walk with Him in the right way, immediately. Repent and return.

The promises of God are not given to people who deserve them, but rather to people God has chosen to make His own. Jesus didn’t have a separate part of His life which was outreach or evangelism or mission. His life was mission and it didn’t matter where He was or who He was with. Mission isn’t something you do; it is a lifestyle you live.
We are blessed to be a blessing to others.
After sin entered the world and we were sent away from the garden, all may have been lost if it were not for God. From the very beginning, God's son Jesus was and is the plan of salvation for all humanity. The Snake-Crusher is coming. He is a promise that cannot be broken.

Abraham is mentioned multiple times in the New Testament as an example of a man who lived by faith. It is for this reason that we begin this study, seeking to understand Abraham's life and uncover the principles of faithful living for those who are seeking after God's blessing.

Matthew 5:13-16 ESV "“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. 14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that[a] they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
It's easy to doubt the promises God has given us and repeat past mistakes. But God has given us grace and forgiveness to overcome!
